I popped in here while staying at a nearby hotel for business. I saw they had a salad bar, and read some reviews and figured it was worth a shot. My first impression is that it's a grocery store in NYC. Completely out of place in Charlotte. What I mean is it's pretty cramped, lots of traffic, just not much space which is odd in Charlotte. I did find some good things, such as the salad bar which was set out recently and the offerings were appealing. I did manage to get some things and made my way to the self pay. I'd rather have a human process my items, it's just more friendly and interesting. However it was quickish, as I had to find PLU codes and such. There was quite a bit of security presence in the morning when I visited, which seemed odd to me. The area didn't appear threatening. All in all just an odd experience here.

This Harris Teeter is an option for quick and available pickups that you know are in the store. Since it's more of a satellite location, they don't carry all of the products that a larger store would carry. For me, only works for me as a quick pick up store. The parking can be a major hassle at times. There isn't a ton of parking in the attached garage. Sometimes, you may circle twice to find a spot. Otherwise, street parking it is! There is stuff around the store, but most times they are doing other things. Not a huge deal, but noticeable to an extent.

I live across the street at the very fancy, but poorly run "luxury tower" that promotes this store as a "convenience". Well, this store is quite the opposite of convenience and down right dangerous. Instead, I drive 4 miles to a clean, safe, well stocked and friendly grocery store. This particular store is a joke. There is so much shoplifting going on here, it has become a magnet for hobos everywhere as the word is out for "free stuff". Things are so completely out of control at this location, that they now have a wait list for beggars standing at the door EVERY TIME I walk my dog past the entrance. Armed guards at the door? They are constantly looking at their cell phone and the Barney Fifes they hire could not stop a 4 year from stealing a pack of gum, let alone the parade of smelly, homeless that walk out with unpaid for beer, wine and snacks to crash in the 4th Ward Park across the street for the night. Why the 3 stars you ask instead of 1 ? Well, I do pop in once and a while for a well priced bottle of wine (snagged a 2020 Duckhorn Merlot for 48.00) Plus, as you can see from the photo, they have a very friendly door greeter !

Example of staff not storing product correctly and monitoring.

I typically love Harris Teeter. This location is not good. Please check your item expiration dates carefully.

However, don't come here if you're looking for a deal because its one of the more overpriced Teet's I've visited.

They have both free and paid tastings. Keep an eye out for their free ones each day so you can sample a few of their featured wines, or the paid tastings that give you much more of a in depth background of wine. I love that they have a wonderful selection of all different priced wines so you find a great bottle at an affordable price. Each time I ask for help they are very friendly and I never feel silly asking basic questions. If you're buying for a specific person or a certain occasion make sure to ask for their recommendation and they won't disappoint. They also have a decent selection of beer, cider, sake, and other specialty alcohol if needed. Highly recommend!

I was looking for some sparkling wine and located the aisle for it fairly easy. Was able to see a whole selection of all of their sparkling wine and noticed that they were cheaper than a Harris Teeter, Food Lion, Publix, etc. I was very excited to find the kind I like and for a fraction of the cost. This will be my new favorite place. They have a huge parking lot as it's located in a shopping center. Everyone was super friendly and efficient and gave great recommendations.

Very disappointing Tuesday night burger dinner. Given the high quality of their ingredients, meats…read moreetc for purchase and great results with Reid's catering, it obviously doesn't translate to the food and presentation in the restaurant. Almost nothing was done in the style of a restaurant where a manager or employee would be overseeing plates coming from the kitchen to be served. We each ordered same burger- medium with crisp bacon. Each was well done with limp bacon. Burgers were overly salted. One plate, as in photo, had an end tomato slice that shouldn't have been served to a customer. Our server did bring up a slice of pie to help make up for dinner. That was nice.

As a foodie transplant from the West Coast, walking into Reid's immediately reminded me of a…read morebeloved high-end grocer back home--something along the lines of Draeger's: beautifully curated, family-owned, and designed to feel like a destination rather than just a place to shop. There's a real sense of history here. From what I understand, Reid's is one of the oldest grocers in Charlotte, and that legacy shows in the details. The rich green tile, classic signage, and thoughtfully designed layout create an elevated, almost European-style market experience. It feels polished, intentional, and welcoming all at once. What stands out: * The store is beautifully merchandised and carefully curated with specialty and seasonal items you don't always find elsewhere. * The wine bar and café concept make this more than a grocery stop--it's a place to linger. I've enjoyed flights, tastings, and brunch on the patio, and each visit has felt like a small occasion. * Location-wise, it really depends on which store you're visiting. The SouthPark and Myers Park locations have easy, convenient parking, and there's also a newer location in Ballantyne (near Pineville). The Uptown locations, while not necessarily "easy parking," are incredibly walkable--perfect if you live, work, or have meetings nearby. If you're already Uptown, this is a fantastic stop to pick up elevated items for a beautiful dinner--think wine, specialty cheeses, or even something indulgent like caviar to round things out. One thing I appreciate is that Reid's doesn't try to be everything to everyone. It's not an organic-focused market like Whole Foods, and that's okay--it serves a different purpose. The clientele here tends to be people looking for specialty ingredients, elevated prepared foods, and a more curated shopping experience. Many shoppers probably visit both stores depending on their needs, and I find myself doing the same. When Reid's really shines: During the holidays and special seasons. Their selection of unique, festive, and hard-to-find items makes it a go-to for entertaining or finding something a little extra special. Overall, Reid's feels like a true Charlotte institution--elegant, distinctive, and consistently well executed. It's the kind of place that makes grocery shopping feel enjoyable again, and I'm looking forward to continuing to explore more of what they offer as I keep eating my way through Charlotte. Bottom line: A beautifully curated local market with history, charm, and a destination-worthy wine bar--perfect for specialty shopping, brunch, and seasonal finds.

We hadn't been in a few weeks, so we threw on some costumes and made a fun evening out of it. It was great seeing other customers dressed up too. Everyone was in great spirits, and the vibe was super laid-back and welcoming. Salud is the first level of a two-story brewery in the heart of NoDa. It's casual and relaxed, with a great selection of beers on draft, craft cocktails, and a seriously impressive wall of bottled and canned beers, wine, vermouth, and N/A drinks to-go. Total neighborhood gem. Since it was chilly out, we grabbed a table inside, which felt warm and inviting. We each ordered a craft beer and split the Lex Diamond sandwich, which came stacked on house-made focaccia with capicola, salami, pepperoni, fresh mozzarella, garlic aioli, red onion, tomato, lettuce, pepperoncini, and pickles. It tasted fresh, homemade, and packed with flavor. It also came with an elote salad and lime wedge on the side (a bright refreshing touch). We also split the buffalo wings with ranch and blue cheese, and they were perfectly cooked with a crispy outside and juicy inside. Both dishes were absolutely delicious and will be repeats for us. Prices were very fair for dinner, and Salud even offers a discounted lunch menu that's well worth checking out too. We're regulars here for a reason. Great beer, great food, and always a good time. I recommend Salud wherever I go, and we'll be back again soon!
