I had 10 hours to spend in Charlotte & this spot kept coming up as a must try for coffee - so glad I did!! Their Vanilla Flat White was smooth & creamy and the cheddar scone was the perfect treat to accompany it. Great prices especially for the area too! The baristas were kind and there's plenty of indoor/outdoor seating so perfect for getting some work done or just hanging out for a while to catch up with friends. They also serve wine!

Visiting my sister in Charlotte and she took us to the Hobbyist! Such a cool vintage looking coffee shop with alc beverages and food. Tons of ample seating at the bar as well as comfy leather couches. The people there were super kind and helpful with explaining some of the flavors. Would deff come again.

Love exploring my new home and glad that this spot is very close! Came here on Saturday around 7pm for a first date and it was the perfect spot! Great ambiance, service, and plenty of menu and seating options! This place extends further back than you would expect. There are a few seats upfront, a great bottle selection in the middle, and more seating further back, plus a few outdoor spots available. We opted for cocktails the first round- men and their old fashioned ha! And I got the classic espresso martini. Next round we enjoyed a glass of bubbles- very fun glassware (see pics), just adds to the experience/environment. I will definitely be back for more tasty libations and maybe just a quick cup of joe on the way to work! @azfitfoodfun

Their coffee is good! I can't remember which latte I had, I think it was lavender, but it was nice and I love foam art so that gave me all the reason to return. They had some cookies by the register and I'm glad I grabbed one for later because it was super good! I think it was a lemon raspberry cookie made by a local company.

Absolutely obsessed with this place. The vibe is perfect. Low-moderate lightning, with a nice mix of eclectic vintage and modern-industrial style. Delicious hot and iced latte, delicious breakfast burrito, fantastic music playlist, and great customer service. Lots of different options for seating as well as some outdoor seating. I will be back often.

Great place in the Noda area for a quick coffee stop! It also has a wide collection of local brews and wine, so if you are a person who enjoys these, definitely check it out! The staff are friendly and helpful! Would recommend to visit at least once.

This is a very cute café with a lot to offer. I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon and the space is large enough for people to do personal work and socialize at tables and the coffee bar. The spot also has a small wine section to browse which is a popular feature I've noticed throughout Charlotte. I got an iced vanilla latte with oat milk and it perfectly hit the spot. I love when the café's I go to offer coffee's which genuinely taste like coffee and do what they're intended to do--wake you the F up. We didn't linger here long but the whole vibe was very friendly and it definitely gave the impression of being a popular spot for locals. This is officially one of my new favorite coffee spots when I come through Charlotte.

My favorite coffee shop walking distance from noda. The latte and cappuccino are always incredible and perfect place to relax or work for a few hours.

Delicious Chai Latte and Black Walnut Latte. Not too sweet, just right. We also had a slice of vegan banana chocolate chip bread, tasty! Order at the bar - they served part of the order to the table and part was called out and had to be picked up at the counter. We noticed a bunch of people with their laptops so it looks like a popular place to sit and work while enjoying a drink or snack.

Decaf vanilla latte with oat milk

This was my first time back here in years. I thoroughly enjoyed it this visit. I came by with a friend to catch up over coffee, it was late in the day so I decided to get their decaf lavender latte. It was as beautiful as it was delicious. I also ordered a topo chico. We sat outside on this gorgeous day, until it got too chilly and we moved inside. Their inside area is super cute with funky seating and long couch type chairs. This was super fun and comfortable. It's shared sitting style so there were some folks sitting nearby that we didn't know and it was so intimate you couldn't even tell. There was a really great musician playing the guitar and singing live. They were doing an amazing job with various genres and music selections. It really helped to create a ice vibe. We stayed here for like 3 hours. It was a great time!

I love coming here to work! They play great music, there's coffee, wine/beer, and they have live music on certain nights. They also sell wine and have have other beverages in a friegue to talk. There is also merch. The staff is always helpful and great with recommendations. The atmosphere is calming. There is indoor and outdoor seating.

Great coffee, great service. Good spot to bring a book. Live jazz band on the weekend. Cozy

Mimosa

I love this place so much. I've visited here multiple times over the years when I've come to visit my sis, but I'm here for a bit now, and I've loved the service, ambiance, and taste of my drinks and food (yummy pastries) whenever I come here. So, this is def my go-to place for mimosas and getting some work done, particularly on the weekends. It's awesome that (at least currently) they have a deal of $3 mimosas on Sundays. Will keep me coming on Sundays, because I def only came back on Sunday because I was there Saturday (will make this my weekend place if they keep this up). Plus their coffee is so yummy and worth stopping by for on the weekdays. You can work on what you need to and grab a coffee or something, and no one will bother you other than to check if you need anything once in a while. Make this your go-to work place if you are more of a nomad like I am currently! Great coffee and pastries and reliable wifi! Also, the service has been nothing but great. Every person I've dealt with has been nothing but kind, and honestly, a lot of them go a little over the top of what they have to. Many times they bring my drink directly to me even though they could just call my drink order from the bar. And they have a very fair proportion of sparkling wine to orange juice at this place. My number one irritation with mimosas is when they are mostly orange juice, and this place is not like that at all. You will get a fair proportion of wine and orange juice in your mimosa that makes this place worth coming back to again and again. For ambiance, it's mostly pretty quiet, which is great for working. When it's at its busiest, it can get a little louder, but I always bring my Bose quiet comfort headphones in when that happens. It honestly only seems to happen during the busiest times that you can see on Google (e.g., today on a Sunday, it's been busiest from about 2:30 PM to currently 4:42 PM), but I've had a grand time still, particularly with my headphones. But even when I don't wear my headphones, you can always sit closer to the back where people usually don't sit. It's much quieter there. Overall, such a lovely place to get some work done or read, get some coffee or mimosas, and just chill with a relaxed feeling that you're so very welcome here. Come and stop by!

Is the age requirement 21 at all times?

No all ages are welcome anytime !

Can't wait to try out the Hobbyist! Are there any vegan options for food?

Hey! We typically have vegan muffins, breads, kronuts, and will start carrying select options from Chef Joya (vegan chef) like her famous Mac n cheese as soon as this weekend!

Do you serve any decaf coffee beverages?

Hi! We can always do decaf pour overs and drip coffee and usually all of our espresso drinks as well, currently our decaf espresso grinder is getting serviced so the decaf espresso drinks are temporarily unavailable. Thank you!

There's a real sense of history here. From what I understand, Reid's is one of the oldest grocers in Charlotte, and that legacy shows in the details. The rich green tile, classic signage, and thoughtfully designed layout create an elevated, almost European-style market experience. It feels polished, intentional, and welcoming all at once. What stands out: * The store is beautifully merchandised and carefully curated with specialty and seasonal items you don't always find elsewhere. * The wine bar and café concept make this more than a grocery stop--it's a place to linger. I've enjoyed flights, tastings, and brunch on the patio, and each visit has felt like a small occasion. * Location-wise, it really depends on which store you're visiting. The SouthPark and Myers Park locations have easy, convenient parking, and there's also a newer location in Ballantyne (near Pineville). The Uptown locations, while not necessarily "easy parking," are incredibly walkable--perfect if you live, work, or have meetings nearby. If you're already Uptown, this is a fantastic stop to pick up elevated items for a beautiful dinner--think wine, specialty cheeses, or even something indulgent like caviar to round things out. One thing I appreciate is that Reid's doesn't try to be everything to everyone. It's not an organic-focused market like Whole Foods, and that's okay--it serves a different purpose. The clientele here tends to be people looking for specialty ingredients, elevated prepared foods, and a more curated shopping experience. Many shoppers probably visit both stores depending on their needs, and I find myself doing the same. When Reid's really shines: During the holidays and special seasons. Their selection of unique, festive, and hard-to-find items makes it a go-to for entertaining or finding something a little extra special. Overall, Reid's feels like a true Charlotte institution--elegant, distinctive, and consistently well executed. It's the kind of place that makes grocery shopping feel enjoyable again, and I'm looking forward to continuing to explore more of what they offer as I keep eating my way through Charlotte. Bottom line: A beautifully curated local market with history, charm, and a destination-worthy wine bar--perfect for specialty shopping, brunch, and seasonal finds.

You can buy rubs, marinades, salads, sides, bread, rolls, desserts, etc. They also have frozen wild game if that is what you are into. It was unfortunate that half their store did not have power as we were not able to see any of the meat or fish on display. iI was ok we were not able to hand select our steaks or fish - the store has such a great reputation we were not too worried about what we would end up with. We decided to order 4 prime marinated NY strip and 2 tuna steaks. They make theur own naribade so we had to try it. We also wanted to try one of frozen pre-made meals so we chose the sausage and pasta with vodka sauce. While in line to checkout we saw more than a few people with trays of cinnamon buns so we had to try them as well. This is a summery of our purchased food:. The cinnamon rolls were grainy. Not smooth. I think they were old (I had to pull them from the back). The steaks had a great flavor as the marinade was really good. Three of the 4 steaks were over cooked because we were given 4 different sized steaks. 2 got burnt the third was well done....$60 wasted. The tuna was good but again they gave us one large steak and one thinner one so the smaller was was dry....another $15 wasted. If I can make any suggestion....do not make a purchase without seeing what you are buying. $136.00 later I can say I was disappointed because of the unevenness it was cooked improperly. 4 stars because the cook is partially to blame. 3 stars otherwise. The sales person is the first person that should know better than to sell meat and fish the way they did. Ruined my Christmas meal. Only 1 of us ate. :(
