This Harris Teeter is my new go-to grocery store for when I need to pick up something to take to work as it is right on my route to work - yep - you guessed it - the "Fabled and Legendary Northwest Passage." :-) Everyone has been very friendly and outgoing and always looking to help whenever I come in here (And it's right across the street from Yelper Sam R's house!) My latest HT conquest involved restocking the work kitchen with spices and hot sauces for use with lunch. I bought several brands/flavors of hot sauce, garlic salt, white pepper, chili powder, and Old Bay.

I don't go to Harris Teeter a lot, but every time I go to this location the place supervised me. Great customer service, spotless clean, and fresh produces all the time.

There's an adventure park right next door, drop your kids off and then sneak on over to this brewery. They make all their beer except for maybe 1 or 2 other crafts. Their food is craft food. Think of trays of freshly crackle pork rinds, trays of potatoes made 3 different ways and fusion snacks that will make you wish you ate hear regularly. The place is clean and full of really fun decor. There is an upstairs for the overflow of customers. What really sticks out is the exceptional staff. They appear to love their jobs. We always get a nice greeting when we arrive and when we leave.

During today's 100 degree weather only inside service with very nice air conditioning. They often host live music. There's a bunch of snack and full meal options. The food is delicious and made fresh. The cocktail list has about 10 types. They have a Bourbon menu and a full beer menu(made in house). The food is so good. It's not the bar cheap eats like most places but it's crafted well. Our favorite is the fried pork rinds that are still sizzling when the tray is brought out. Many people around us ordered the special pig roast. Lots of meats and sides on a platters we had already eaten or we would have gotten that special. Let's talk about the staff. They are super friendly and very attentive. They welcome us and when leaving several staff wishes us a Happy 4th. Lots of TVs showing some fun shows including the Nathan's hotdog eating contest in Coney Island.

What a wonderful experience! The restaurant is a very, quite spacious and very welcoming. It's right next to a lake and so the setting was lovely. We had an indoor/outdoor room with doors that opened to the outside. I had a raspberry lemon martini with a sugared glass rim. Very nicely presented. They have a very varied menu and they also have a large gluten-free menu. We both had the lobster bisque as a starter and then we both ordered the fish tacos. The soup was filled with lots of lobster meat and was delicious. The fish tacos were made with cod and the waiter mentioned that the slaw had some habanero chile in it. I asked if it was spicy and he said it might have a slight kick, but was not spicy. He was absolutely correct and in fact, if he hadn't mentioned the habanero I would not have picked up on it at all. It was really good. If you order bread, (and you have choices on type), you are charged I think a dollar per order, but that is donated to help people who are food challenged. We were full from our dinner, but we could not pass up an order of key lime pie for dessert, which we shared. It was a hard choice because they had a special dessert which was chocolate peanut-butter pie. I wish we could have had both. Their other desserts also sounded great. By the way, a portion of their revenues from desserts are also donated to help those who need food assistance. I was very impressed that they do that. I want to mention that the wait staff was also great. Friendly, attentive, but not over-bearing. I can't say enough about Sweetwster Tavern. If I find myself in this area again, I will definitely be back.

Not sure is that worked though since GARs are notoriously great places to work. :) As for food, I don't care how old I get, the chicken tenders are a forever favorite, but their Cajun pasta is my absolute favorite thing on the menu. Also, don't sleep on the Ozzie rolls, and when it's on the menu the crab Louie is incredible. My husband is obsessed with their burger - that's actually his baseline for any restaurant we eat at now. It's a huge space, and they do get really busy, but they take reservations, so it's usually not a problem getting a table. Highly recommend if you are in the area. I wish we had GARs in NC. I miss them so much! Bonus: they are really good with allergies and picky eaters.
