I received a text stating they missed a part they had to order for my bumper,that it will be ready the next day, next day come I get abother text saying they ordered wrong parts, new part be in Monday but still have to paint it so maybe Tuesday it will be ready. Was in a hit and run accident and brought my car here based on my co workers recommendation. After having my car for about 3 weeks I finally got my car back. When I stopped for gas I got out of the car and saw something wedged behind the right hand side of my car. It was a huge piece of plastic that I would later learn from a co worker is a cover for my engine. I pulled it loose and the whole thing dropped to the ground being held on by only 1 bolt / screw. I called them immediately to ask about this and asked what happened and the guy on the phone said it wasnt something they did and I " must have hit something " didn't even offer to take a look at it or bring it back it. He just automatically blamed it on me. I had to tear the thing off of my car just to get home or it would have dragged. ( See pic below ). So to Harris county body shop congrats at bilking me and my insurance company out over $6000. I hope it was worth it because not only am I writing this review but all 15+ of my co workers who are just down the street from you and some swear by how good y'all are now know to never bring their cars there. read more

I have been holding off on this review for a while now because Harris County Body Shop worked with me after crashing my car. However, I am now experiencing car trouble out of nowhere and as I am opening the hood, I see dog treats??? I don't have any pets and I have not opened the hood since before I left my car in the body shop so I can only assume it was from them. I crashed my car last November and my insurance wouldn't let me take my car to the dealership to get fixed so I had to take it to the Harris County Body Shop. I was given an approximate date of when the car was going to be ready. When the day arrived, I called the body shop to make sure it was ready but they said they needed a few days, which was fair so I said ok. The following week, when I was supposed to pick my car up, I got a call from the body shop saying that there was a an incident. Basically, they hired someone from outside Nissan Dealership and outside of the body shop to calibrate my sensor from the front. Whomever calibrated it apparently didn't close the hood correctly, so when they test drove it, the hood flew off. This led to almost another month's delay. I am not 21 yet so Enterprise would not let me rent a car from them and the body shop wouldn't let me borrow a car. Finally, I told them I would need for them to cover my Uber & Lyft expenses until I got my car back. 2 weeks later, I got my car back after it was "fixed." Friday night, I noticed that the hood was a completely different color than the rest of the car. The sensor was also not working and they never returned my license plate. The following Monday I called and let them know what was going on, they told me I had to wait two weeks until the paint settled. A week passed and I was very frustrated with my car because it wasn't fixed, so I reached out to my insurance company and they got in touch with the body shop. Rene and the owner of the body shop worked with me but it was still very disappointing the incompetence on the body shop's part. Now, I am not sure if the car issues is due to something that happened when the car was in the body shop because it is a brand new car- Nissan Kicks 2020. I am always up to date on all the maintenance so it just doesn't make sense. read more

Im giving this place 2 stars because i came in under a recommendation from a friend and it was not what i expected. My car stayed there for 1 month before i got it back. At first i was receiving text message updates on the progress. They said it was on track and would be ready by a certain date and if any complications came up they would let me know. I never heard of complications so i arrived on the day the text message said it would be finished to be told it was not ready in fact they needed to order a part that would take 3 days to get in and install. I said okay thats fine about another week. A week went by and not a word or text message from them so i called and they said one of 2 parts still havent arrived so i waited another week. No text messages or calls in that week either. Third week i call again and they said parts are installed but now it needs to be painted. So i wait another week with no updates or text messages. Finally the car is ready and when i drive off 2 lights are on for my tire pressure and the esc is flashing "unavailable" as well as the​ hillstart which has never been a problem before. They tell me drive for 50 miles and the tire pressure light will go off its because the sensors are new. I drive well over 50 miles and lights are still on. I take it back and the guy says he doesnt know why the esc light is on and has never heard if "hillstart". They take it back look at it and realize they never installed 2 of my tire pressure monitors. He says they have to order the monitors and to bring it back. I come back a week later and the tire pressure light goes off after they were installed however the esc and hill start are still "unavailable". Im now taking it to the dealership i bought it from to continue working on something that was suppose to be fixed by this body shop. The mechanics are very nice however i usually sat outside while my car was being looked at because the front desk girls have an attitude about mostly everything and flat out dont have good customer service in my opinion. The times i was in there they quickly talk over people, one lady barely spoke English and i could tell she didnt know a thing about what the girl was telling her she was basically shoving paperwork at her telling her to sign. One complained about how early she had to get up. One of the mechanics im assuming said "this lady said she wouldn't recommend you guys" and the front desk girl said, with major attitude, "well she was happy when she left so, whatever, idk." things like that are very irritating and doesnt make me want to be there at all. read more

I cannot say enough good things about this place...took my car in for some damage repairs and was very impressed by the professionalism and kindness of each person i encountered here. definitely get the vibe that it is a family-owned business, and they really focus on the customer. gilbert was my main contact from the service dept. and he called me and kept me updated during the few days they had my car. diane helped me in the office, and she was great too. the car looked good as new when i picked it up. they even stayed late on friday to finish working on it so it would be ready first thing saturday as they had originally estimated. i would definitely return here in the future and recommend their services! read more

I had the terrible misfortune recently of having my car keyed. When I worked with my insurance to find a place close to my job to handle the repairs, they suggested this shop. I was really pleased with the service from start to finish. Upon drop-off of my car, they obtained my email address and told me they would be sending me updates on the status of my car. By the end of that day, they sent me the first update letting me know the time it would take to complete the repairs. I was a little shocked because it was going to take longer than I expected, but with paint damage on some of the doors, this was going to be a lengthy process. After that initial update, I would get other updates letting me know the status. And in the end, my car was finished about three days earlier than originally projected. When I went to pick it up, they walked me thru their guarantee and explained all of the work they completed. As a woman, I usually hate any kind of repair shop and they way they treat you, but this was not an issue for me at all at this body shop. If I ever needed work on my car again or a friend needed a recommendation, I would highly recommend this place. read more

Great place. Had my truck here to get some work done. They were recommended by my insurance company. GEICO has a rep on site as well as enterprise. Everything is smooth operation, truly. I received text alerts on the status of my truck, that was a welcome change to the norm. Also, when I picked up my truck it was fully detailed.. Not just vacuumed and washed folks.. I mean.. This is by far the best experience I've ever had having work done on my car. They're friendly, efficient, and helped me deal with a difficult Allstate agent. This bodyshop does great work and they stand by it. Had some minor front end damage and they made it look good as knew. Took a day longer than they quoted me, but that happens. After two months, the paint started to chip and there was a little flaking. I brought it back and Dan was nice enough to take care of it and even took care of some chips that weren't even related. Again, they stand by their work. It did take a little longer than expected, but the paint looked fantastic! Dan, the owner, is a very nice guy. I definitely recommend this shop. read more

I brought my car here about a year ago for a Geico ARX repair, totally forgot to review! I had such a great experience with the repair process at Harris County Body Shop, their staff are so friendly (family owned, and open for 40+ years now!) and the facility is very clean and obviously efficiently operated. There is Enterprise onsite (and Geico), so you can get your insurance appraisal and rental car and be on your way asap. If I ever need body work done again in Houston I would definitely go to Harris County Body Shop! read more

Decent looking place, but these guys are taking forever to pre-order parts for my car. I'm glad I did not leave it there.

While the sales rep up front sold me on, "We'll take care of you don't worry". This job was the complete opposite. I asked for a few other items to be fixed on my car again, "Yes we can do it don't worry." I ask for an ETA. "7 days, you'll have your car back". Once they took in my car, I didn't receive any updates of any kind I had to keep calling and my car was in the shop for at least a month. Also, dealing with the back office they were like, "What were you supposed to have done?" with a side of attitude. This blew my mind and angered me. As most of us, we need our vehicle. Just be honest and communicate how long it will really take or update me so I can make other arrangements. When I picked up my car, they used duct tape on my vehicle to mask off or hold down the door handle which, they were supposed to fix! Once that adhesive sets, it's a chore to get it off. I had to wait for them to clean up the tape another 45 mins. These guys are terrible. Service wise, communication, and execution. They need to get it together. read more

I had my car sent to this body shop after my wreck based on the positive reviews on Yelp and they are really awesome! My insurance company was doing an awful job of helping me and this body shop really stepped up to try to help me. When my insurance totaled out my car, the shop walked me through all of the damages. Sadly, I forgot to remove the rhinestoned license plate cover off of my car. I called the shop to make sure my car was still there and explained that I forgot to take off the license plate cover.. Turns out the insurance company towed my car away before I could get to the shop... HOWEVER, one of the body shop employees removed the license plate cover for me and had it waiting in the front office!! I recommend this body shop just based on how thoughtful the employees are! read more

Another satisfied Geico customer! I made my appointment with Geico for a SATURDAY. The agent met me there to take care of the claim; it was a speedy process. Then a representative of the shop gave me a ride home. Everyone was friendly. If desired, a rep from Enterprise would have met me there, too. One week later, I picked up my car and it looks great! Throughout the week, I received updates on my phone. I highly recommend this to all Geico customers. This all inclusive process is super convenient for people with busy lives. read more

For what I though was going to be a great experience turned out to be a horrible one. I had to take my 2016 Dodge Charger in because of an insurance claim. The front end needed to be replaced so when I dropped off my vehicle they informed me that emails will be sent to me daily with an update on my repairs. The first email I received stated my car would be ready in 10 days on a Monday. I'm like ok that's great so on that day I get an email stating it would be ready that afternoon, so I drive to the shop after work and they informed me that it indeed is not ready. A lady at the front desk said that those emails are used mainly for estimates. So the mechanic comes from the back and says the car needed one more part that they got it that day and it will be ready tomorrow. I'm like ok one more day won't hurt. Tuesday arrives and I call after lunch for an update and they tell me it's not ready because they had to take it to a dealership to get freon because this vehicle uses a special type of freon (whatever that means). So I'm like y'all didn't tell me this yesterday and they proceed to say it will be ready tomorrow once the dealer ship finishes the job. I'm like fine ok I'll get my car tomorrow. Wednesday arrives and I call at lunch again and they said the car is still at the dealership and they're waiting for them to inform them it's ready for pick up. The mechanic assures me that when the work is done at the dealership it will ready for me to pick up. I then become aggravated because I have an application on my phone where I can see where my car is and the past 12 hours my car has been parked at the same spot at the dealership. I then call the dealership and they inform me that the vehicle has in fact been finished and been ready for pick up but the person who dropped off my car left NO INFORMATION as to why it was being dropped off and no contact information for them to call when it's ready. I had to give the dealership the body shops number for them to call and let them know it's ready. About 2 hours later I check my app and I see that the car is back at the body shop. I let time pass, waiting for them to call me and let me know it's ready. No call from them, so I call them right before I leave work and I get put on hold. The lady comes back after 5 mins and I get the same answer, it's not ready. I'm become furious and ask as to why it's not ready? It's been parked at your shop for 3 hours. The lady at the front desk puts me on hold again, another 5 mins pass and she just says it will be ready in the morning. They need to make sure the work at the dealership was completed correctly. I'm thinking to myself you had 3 hours to inspect my car but I just say fine and hang up. Thursday arrives and I call again around noon and the lady at the front desk tells me it's ready. I'm like FINALLY so I go and pick up my vehicle after work and dropped off my rental car at the same time. The enterprise Rep informed I should get my deposit back in a couple of days. Friday comes around and I see a charge on my account from the body shop/enterprise so I call up and they say my insurance only covered part of the days for the rental. I contact my insurance and they inform me that this is incorrect and enterprise needs to refund my money. A week goes by and I been calling the repair shop and my insurance back and forth with no solution. My insurance adjuster finally contacts the head branch of enterprise today and they call me to inform they are refunding the money to me and apologize for any inconvenience this has caused me. They stated it should be the shops responsibility to cover the additional cost if the vehicle wasn't ready in time that was estimated and given to the insurance. So all in all this has been the worst experience I have ever dealt with for a vehicle repair and I will never EVER go back to this repair shop again! read more

One stop shop if you have Geico insurance. I brought my AudiS5 there after being rear ended on a Tuesday morning, got the inspection done and repairs ordered and was sitting in a rental 20 minutes later. 7 days later I got the call that the car was ready - way faster than I expected. They did a very good job on the repairs. The only down side was not getting updates during the repair process (only if I actively contacted them) and the car could have been cleaned better on pick up day. Other than that - good location, if I ever get rear ended again I will definitely use their services again. read more

Took my truck to HCBS as one of Farmer's preferred shops for an estimate and I o get my claim started. While I was waiting for the estimator to finish I started reading reviews on Yelp and other sites. After talking with my estimator (Jim T) and going over the estimate I find out that HCBS being in the Farmer's body shop network means that the repairs carry a lifetime guarantee through Farmers so if I'm unhappy with the repairs I can take the vehicle to a different shop to get it fixed. Jim told me that he thought they would have my truck fixed in a week. I took the truck home and got all of my gear out of it and returned dropping it off for repair on 23 July. The other reviews I read talked about HCBS sending daily text messages regarding status. I didn't get any text messages but I got a call on Monday saying they ordered all of the parts and found more damage when they took it apart so it might take more than a week to fix it. Since I hadn't heard I called this am. I found out my tuck was ready but there was a dash light indicating it might need re-alignment. When I asked about the dash light it turns out someone had inadvertently hit the "on the fly 4WD" switch and engaged the 4WD . . . I picked up my truck today 30 July one week after dropping it off. The truck looks great, and it received a full detail cleaning. I couldn't be happier with the outcome. I also met the General manager Dan - I believe if I had any problems with the repair I could speak to him and he would make it right. I have been to this shop on two occasions. The first time, they did an excellent job. Upon pickup, the employee went over the entire repair. The second time, they went through the motions, and simply gave me the keys when complete. Part of what they didn't complete is noticeable. this morning (oct. 31st) I had an appointment to get my car fixed at this body shop through Gieco's express repair. I am now taking my business else where, customer service was rude over the phone when I called 15 minutes prior to my appointment to notify them that I was going to run a few minutes late since over night the city received flooding rain, and I had to find an alternate route to them. granted it's not their fault mother nature gave us high water on city streets but, the woman who answered the phone was rude and not helpful at all. showed no courtesy, I was going to overlook the other low star reviews but, after this mornings unprofessional handling of my phone call I will no longer take my vehicle for repairs here! I was involved in an accident a few weeks ago. Geico referred me to this body shop since it is affiliated with them to fix my car and have the repairs under warranty for the life of my vehicle. Since they accident was not my fault, I agreed to have my car repaired here due to the warranty. I picked up my car after a week of being in the shop, the receptionist and other lady there were unprofessional. The receptionist had her rap and r&b music playing loudly while she sang along and discussed her personal involving different men while myself and two others sat in front of her. My supposed Geico adjuster who was "taking care of my case" had no clue what he was doing. He asked me to come to the back then walked away confused. I had 3 different people assist me, the adjuster Brian, was a waste of time. I received my car and returned my rental only to realize, Harris County "fixed" my side mirror but left the electronics damaged. I returned 5 minutes later to get the issue fixed. The shop was going to reorder my parts and repair my car within 3 days. I have yet to have them call me to justify their sloppy repairs. My car was not aligned correctly and to top it all off, I found a piece of my exterior INSIDE my vehicle. I keep calling my adjuster's supervisor to have them fix the situation since their client hit me, and I'm being avoided. NEVER FIX YOUR CAR THROUGH THIS COMPANY!!! read more
