This is our first experience using Downey's Carpet Care of Granville in our home, although my mom…read morehad stuck by the Downey family cleaning business for many years. It didn't take much convincing for us to go with them for our carpet cleaning. We were extremely pleased with the entire process. Scheduling online is very convenient, and John follows up with a confirmation email and a reminder email. John and Kevin were on time, courteous, and were careful with the equipment around corners, etc. Our carpet looked so much better after their cleaning process. We would definitely have them back for any other carpet cleaning needs.

I've wanted to join Yelp for a while but have to say that Magic Carpet is what inspired me go…read morethrough with it. These guys are really affordable, we paid like $140 for most of our house. We have had upwards of four dogs and two cats in our place over the last couple of years so you can imagine the pet odor and stains. Magic took care of it, no problem. They brought a van with the whole big vacuum/heating rig onboard and get going fast. Magic Carpet was able to salvage some really rough stained areas downstairs in our house. These guys have always been super flexible with their scheduling and services rendered, plus both times we've had them clean for us they taught us a whole lot about 'extraction' and other aspects of carpet cleaning. Plus they give you little blue booties to walk with on your freshly cleaned floor. Fast, reliable, affordable, and they get the job done right. What's not to love. PS a fun fact they taught me was that the rentals you get at grocery stores don't heat the water nearly enough to activate the chemistry they work with. I've used those rentals a bunch and definitely don't get the same results. Funny, I would close this with "if you're on a tight budget, go with Magic Carpet" but even if I had more money to spend I'd still get these guys to come out and do the job. PS- I'm writing this because they're fresh in my mind; I just called them due to some furnace carbon that got dumped all over our downstairs. I'm betting they'll be able to get it up no prob.

I think they charged to move furniture, and they left our carpet very wet. I chose Apollo from yelp.com because of the positive reviews. Would definitely use Apollo next time, its a great service.

I told the cleaner that we had just moved into our home and was not aware of what stains consisted of in carpet. Cleaner emphasized the products used and vacuum quality. My husband used a simple hand drill with a brush attached and Jax Wax and carpet looks 100 times better. Not sure why an industrial cleaner was unable to do this, however I would not recommend.

The snow storm that shut down most of the city didn't stop him from coming, either. We also had him clean some sofas that got dirty during our move. An added bonus- as their name hints, they are "eco-friendly," not using any harsh chemicals in the cleaning process.
