My husband has used this garage for years and the previous owner Jim, sold it to a new person last year. Jim still works part time in the shop. I took my car here because my AC was not blowing much cold air....just coolish air....and I did not want to be taken by anybody to find out the real issue of the problem.... We made an appointment and showed up on time. I explained the issue and I left the car. About 4 hours later, they called me telling me that they had filled the system with freon since it was low on freon and they gave me a total price. My husband said that in the past, Jim would call before any repairs with an estimate to make sure the customer was OK with the path forward...this time, I just got the work done without any previous chance to "think about it". I arrived, got my car and paid....when I saw my credit card receipt, I noticed that the charge was higher than what I was quoted....I was then told that any credit card charge incurs a 4% extra processing fee... I was just surprised by the lack of transparency. Who walks around with hundreds or thousands of dollars in their wallet??? I think the best is to quote the credit card price and tell the customer that they offer a 4% discount if paid in cash..... read more

Absolute criminals. My fiance took her jeep there to fix a noise. The first visit, they did a bunch of work on it that we were not given a work order for or approved of in any way. The bill came to over $1000. The car also needed to stay the night when they originally said it would be ready in time. After it finally being ready after a 2 hour wait the following day, the noise still wasn't fixed. She was told to bring the car back another day and they would fix it for free and it would take two hours. It was finished right before close, she was charged over $300 for yet another part she never approved for, and guess what? It's still making the noise. This is the worst mechanic we've ever encountered. Stay. Away. Seriously. Terrible business, terrible mechanics, terrible people. read more

Totally tried to rip us off and charge for work NEVER done. When my son came back from picking up his car he told me they couldn't give him a receipt, come back next week...FIRST RED FLAG. They tried to charge me for replacing alternator pulley and said they had to cut off lugnuts because no key, and that they would replace lugnuts. NEVER DONE. We ended up just going to Phil Newman in Westerly, who DID replace alternator pulley and other work the car needed. Reported to Better Business Bureau. Thieves. read more

Fast, efficient and high marks for customer service. I was referred by a family member after another auto shop diagnosed a $2,000 exhaust job on my 2002 Nissan Sentra that was completely out of the question. I'm grateful I took her advice. Awesome family run garage. It's hard to find a good auto repair shop but I have done it. Having a family with four vehicles it can get expensive to keep them all maintained. They have helped me out recently with a battery in one vehicle and a starter in another. All work was done correct the first time and in a very reasonable time frame. Their repair cost are better than most places and you will always leave feeling like they were looking out for you and not just the money. If you have had a hard time finding a place where you felt welcomed and could put your trust in their hands look no further. This is a great shop and everyone from the mechanics to the owners know the meaning of customer service. When you leave you will feel like you have been a customer forever. This place is a RIP OFF!!! they tell you one thing is wrong with your car when you clearly know it's something else but you give him the benefit of the doubt and he fixes it his way and tells you its fixed alset... ha you go to pick it up and it's doin the same exact thing what yoy dropped it off for and charged to 325.00 the first time and bring it right back and it needs what you thought it did and tries to charge you more $$$ when it's his error and can easily take the parts out and return and get the right parts when he told you over the phone if his way didn't fix it that he would return and go my way... Name says it all. They sold me a used tire for $30 even though it was the wrong size for my car. After driving less than 1 mile I noticed smoke coming from the tire that they just sold me. The owner assured me when I bought the tire it would be fine. I went back, they put another used tire on my car. Less than a week later the tire was flat. They charged me another $20 to fix the leak.Huge rip off, they should have fixed that flat without charge. I could have bought a brand new tire for what I paid . Will never go back again, stay away from these crooks . read more
