Went to a wedding there in August and was amazed at how rude the woman that owns that place was. The beer and wine was paid for by the bride and groom in advance, yet it was like begging to get a glass. They were rude and have absolutely no business having weddings there if they are going to treat the guests with such disrespect. The setting , I will admit was beautiful and I could see why my cousin chose to marry there, however I don't think that she was aware beforehand about how horribly rude the the people that run it are. I heard so many of the guests talking about it at the wedding and I know it left a bad taste in most of the guests mouth. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. read more

I recenty attended a wedding here the wedding started at five and the owner didnt get all of the Wine tasters out of there until 4:30 completely unprofessional as well as i'm concered and the organ playing louder than heck right next to the brides quarters time and place organ man time and place . When I showed up I saw the groom and groomsmen setting up all of the chairs and decor which was supposed to be done by the onsite employees this place is not the place to get married unless you want to set up everything for the staff, somehow with alot of help from friends and family we ended up having a great time anyways....bottom line the staff and owner don't know the first thing about customer service lazy lazy lazy! read more

Let me start by saying that the previous reviews shouldn't fool anyone. You can clearly tell that it was 1 person/party that forwhatever stupid reason didn't like this place. I don't buy the racist rant, it's easy for someone to say that someone is "racist" or hates a certain type of person when they don't' get the service they expect. If you didn't like the service say that, don't' call someone an outright racist, because that's just showing your ignorance. Now, on to my review, I attended my cousins wedding at Harmony on the fourth of July, and it was amazing. The staff was not only attentive, at times they were overly attentive! As a venue this place is beautiful, the gardens are kept nice and clean, and the atmosphere is mind blowing. I love a place that i can feel comfortable in a full three piece suit. Obviously having a wedding on the fourth of July in Lodi their could be a problem with heat. And it was one hot day, however the owner and her two sons did nothing but check on the guests. They kept cold waters around at all times. Basically if your looking for an affordable place to hold your wedding with a luxury look, look no further than Harmony. Bravo. read more

Was there for a wedding, the catering staff was treated like dirt and no one seemed to care. The lady who was "in charge" (assuming it was Linda) did a terrible job. She was extremely unorganized and has a terrible attitude. I would never recommend this place to anyone and honestly if someone brought up this winery, I'd probably go out of my way to tell them how awful this place is. WOW! All five wines we tasted were delicious. The wine tasting rooms is really cool and the grounds are lovely. The coolest part is that they have an organ and all the pipes behind the walls. Ask them to play a tune for you on the organ! It's so awesome! read more

Came in at closing time today and could not have been greeted with a more welcoming invitation to taste. Shaun guided us through the tasting while tells us the history of the winery. His mother came down to the tasting room and was very lovely, as well. My friend and I felt happy and satisfied when we left and we will definitely go back! read more

On a breezy winter day, my husband and I had time for one more wine tasting and decided that we would try Harmony. We walked into an empty tasting room and the owner (Linda) came out of the back room. I asked if they were still open and she said yes - which she really didn't have to since it was just about closing time. As we continued to ask questions and taste the wine, the son Shawn came in and lit the fireplace which definitely warmed the atmosphere. Shawn showed us the famous organ - which the building was built around. From that moment on, we truly had an enjoyable evening conversing with both Linda and Shawn. We held our Aunt's birthday at Harmony. It was a lovely location, friendly staff, and great tasting wine.

I was recently married there.....It was such a memorable event. Everyone loved the setting for both the ceremony and the reception. The grounds are BEAUTIFUL. Linda was extremely helpful in planning my special day. My friends and family had a fabulous time. Will definitely be returning to do some more tasting and visit where we tied the knot. read more

I attended a wedding at this venue last night of my close friend and unfortunately, all my greatest fears came true. I had read previous reviews about this site because my sister was considering it for her own wedding, but we instantly decided against it because of all of the horrible reviews on here. The garden area is quite pretty and well maintained, but all of the comments about the owner/mother of this venue are completely justified. The bride drinks wine and the groom only drinks beer, so they paid for an open beer and wine service for the entire night. Each and every time anyone approached the bar and asked for a beer, the woman would say, "Why are you guys only ordering beer? This is a winery!" Not only did she have issue serving beer, my boyfriend's bottle had an expiration date that had expired 6 months ago! Every time I spotted the owner, she had the bride in a corner and was busy complaining about something, which you should never to do a bride or groom on their special day! At the end of the night, the owner and the DJ were having a full out yelling battle over her poor customer service. Apparently, she went to complain to the DJ about something and he informed her that the guests were complaining of "tension" between her and everyone else for the entire night. She decided to yell at him in front of everyone about it. Overall, the location is nice, the wine was good, but the owner is a nightmare. I feel bad for her son, who was truly trying to be a gentleman. Thank you for trying to calm your mother down if you're reading this. She needs to learn better customer service. read more

Wow... I am very shocked by the comments from some on the post for this winery! I normally never write a review but just ran across this when trying to find Harmony's phone number. We have been frequent visitors to this winery for several years. When we have family come into the area or visitors we always stop by harmony to visit the beautiful grounds and the fabulous wine. The owners are very hospitable and always go out of their way to play the organ when we request. I have attended a beautiful wedding there and it was 1st class. I believe in giving credit where credit is do... believe me this place is wonderful! read more

My friend had her wedding at this venue. Even though this venue is absolutely stunning, I give this venue 1 star for terrible customer service. The owner of this place is very unfriendly. She never smiles and is frankly, rude. My friend and her family had a hard time planning their wedding at this venue. The owner is not accommodating and her mannerisms are very sour. My friends mother has to rent 20 extra chairs for her guest, and she was told this within a week of the wedding. Many of the guest at the wedding, noticed the sour look on the owners face as she walked around instructing the caterers to pick pick up plates and glasses from the tables. We also witnessed her taking hors d'oeuvres, and extra entree plates to an elderly man who lived on the property. A venue is nothing when the customer service is terrible. The owner is very unprofessional and unfriendly. And I wouldn't recommend this venue to anyone! read more

We just had the most wonderful impromptu experience at this beautiful place! After we left I realized they closed before we walked in and they went through a full tasting for us never once saying they were closed! They made us feel at home and told of us of the history of their tasting room and grounds. We will absolutely be going back! Oh and by the way...the wine is phenomenal, we purchased the port and I will be going back for the Rosé, Chardonnay and Alicante! If you are visiting Lodi or even if you've lived here your whole life (like us) this fantastic place needs to be on your to do list! I had my wedding Ceremony at Harmony Wynelands this past May. I was looking for a place that had a small intimate feel and that was outdoors. I also wanted a place that would photograph beautifully. I looked at several wineries in the area and chose Harmony because of the relaxed and inviting feel of the grounds. The grounds are very pretty and green which I love. The main building is built around a pipe organ that the owner Bob can play. It was very charming. They have several beautiful places that can be used for taking photos and two locations that can be used for the ceremony. We chose the garden location and were very happy with it. Overall I am very happy with my experience there. They were flexible with the contract which is something that you don't often see. They allowed me to shift the hours we were renting the location which I appreciated. Their prices were very reasonable which was nice. There were a couple of typos in the contract so we had to redo it which was a minor inconvenience. They did an excellent job setting up for the ceremony and were very nice about letting us use the grounds for all of our photos. I read several reviews that commented on service provided by the staff and owners. I did not have my reception there so I cannot comment on the services provided by the staff other than to say that they had everything set up when it was supposed to. The only thing I felt could be improved upon was communication. Linda takes, what I'd call a less involved approach to the event in the sense that rather than reaching out to me to touch base, or set up meetings, or communicate I had to seek her out to ask questions about how things would be done the day of the wedding. Since the majority of couples getting married are doing it for the first time I think it would be beneficial to provide more guidance and information about how the venue will provide its service on the day of the event. Overall I had a wonderful experience at Harmony Wynelands and I am grateful to them for providing a beautiful site for my wedding. read more

Great experience here. Shaun was such a great host. He gave us some organ lessons, took us out to look at some vines and poured some great wines. When we left, he gave us a vine with some of their lovely grapes. The Pipe Dreams and the Champagne were our favorites. Will be going back for more wine for sure. read more

This place should work on it's advertising and customer service. The son is more than disrespectful with zero care for the visitors. We all put our merchandise down and walked out. As a matter of fact he even walked out on us and didnt even try to make things right. Focus on the guests and making them enjoy their time as they are your buyers for the day. We had 14 people unhappy who have alot of wine loving friends who will now spread a really bad name for Harmony. The mother was unpleasant too. This was a great place. Adorable grounds This was a second visit and loved it. The wine was very very good. I love white wine, but the GMC was very good Most of all we enjoyed the organ playing old songs.Old tunes of Vera Lynn from 2nd world war times. I chose this beautiful, quaint venue for my wedding the end of this July. From the very first visit, the staff was very informative and kind. I enjoyed the flexibility in which they worked and therefore was less stressful for the friends and family involved in decorating the day of the wedding. When I arrived that afternoon for my wedding, I could not be more surprised and blessed with how it looked that Sunday morning. The staff were present and helpful throughout the entire process leading up to the special day as well as on the incredible day. I cannot imagine having my wedding anywhere else. Attended a wedding here a few years back and am just now getting around to writing a review because something reminded me of my friend who was married there. Similar to other stories, the owner of the winery was a disaster. To start, it ended up raining the day of the wedding. The tables were all moved underneath the overhangs, which was cramped, but it happens and no one seemed to mind. However, the owner was (loudly) complaining about how much of a pain it was to move the tables (even though all she did was move 2 or 3 chairs) and several guests took note. Her son was genuinely trying to help and was kind/courteous as it seemed he was embarrassed by his mothers comments and attitude. Throughout the evening, she would continuously make snarky comments to guests if they asked her a question regarding anything (including the winery or how to become a wine club member). During dinner (buffet) she stood behind the caterers the entire time continuously telling them to give people as little food as possible so they wouldn't run out and would straight up say no if someone asked for an extra portion of food. Later she came around saying we could get more if we wanted, so we walked in and saw enough food to feed the entire party twice over. By far the worst part, as others have mentioned, is that the owner continued to drink throughout the night and was completely hammered by the end. The arrangement was so that there was a period of time that was an open bar at which point it switched over to a cash bar. However, 45 minutes before the party officially ended the owner announced that they had run out of wine to serve. Literally 5 seconds later, she reaches behind the bar and pours herself a full glass of wine from the cases that were stored behind the bar. Didn't really make sense considering we were paying for the wine at this point. Overall it's a good site and the wine is good, but again, the owner is a disaster and completely ruined parts of the evening. read more

We were looking for wedding venues and we heard that this place is beautiful... not really... It has this ugly blue barn feel. We were greeted by a woman and a young man who asked us if we need help. It seemed forced because they were staring at us when I said I made an appointment which they want you to do, but when you get there they don't remember? There was this energetic young man who was in charge of the wine tasting and he seemed like a good guy but this woman turned out to be the owner and his mother who kept staring at us. This guy had to make his mother discuss with us the wedding services they offer. She barely answered any questions and when she did she spoke in a dry voice and made little eye contact. By the way, the men's dressing area for weddings is very small and the men must use the public restroom, which is disgusting to me. She was quite cold and she gave her son dirty looks when he was joking with us. She gave us a half ass tour around and didn't seem to care whether we liked the place or not. From the other reviews, I wonder whether this is because my fiance isn't white. And neither was our extra guest that we had come with us because he loves wine tasting. We all felt better after leaving because this woman was so negative. I don't want to bash people and assume they are racist, but if they aren't racist then they are just rude, except for the one older son who genuinely seemed cool, which makes me feel bad for him. The only reason this place gets a star is because of Shaun. I am soo sorry I did not write this sooner. It could have saved some other couples the disappointment that I had on my wedding day. Is that a day you are supposed to be disappointed?? I think not. When I read Marielas post from 08. I thought is this my cousin?? Nope. I was married there in 06. But her post describes all the complaints I had. I soo wish I could do it over... I noticed the owner treating me coldly prior to the wedding. However, I had already pd my deposit and the invites were out. I should have changed the venue. I felt it in my gut and I did not. It would have been worth the money to send out a new invite and loose my deposit. There were sooo many problems that happened. To many to write. Here is one...about 10 min before the wedding is timed to be over Shauns girlfriend comes to me the Bride. And says," your wedding is over in ten min.. what do you want to do about it?' I was shocked. I was not watching the time. I had no clue. Our DJ was the owners son. Should he not have been slowing things down? Anyway, I could not just ask my family to leave. Luckly my cousin had some cash and paid Linda so she would not kick my family and friends out. Then she wanted Shaun to move the music inside. Thank God he told her no. He said that would take to much time. My parents were paying for the wedding and were mortified to find out that one of the guests shelled money so the wedding would not come to an abrubt end. What made me most upset??? The way some of my guests were treated. Come on.. my parents pd. a lot for my wedding. It made me soo sad to hear negative comments. My guests also purchased a lot of wine and other products sold in their shop... Two weeks after my wedding my new husband returned a plate that my cousin had thought was mine to Linda. He also gave her a 2 page complaint letter. She yelled at him. He remained calm.. She asked how old I was.. Like I was a spoiled brat or something... I was not the only one complaining. She did not appologize. PLEASE do not have your wedding here! There are plenty of other beautiful wineries in Lodi. I appologize to those of you who had your wedding here after mine and were unhappy. This place was awful, disgraceful, unprofessional, DREADFUL, I could go on....but I think you get the picture, I attended a wedding here and I was DISGUSTED with the way these people run their business. A wedding is someone's special day and when you pay to rent out a venue, you would expect for everything to be top notch service wise, well here it wasn't. The help was drinking on the job, who does that?!?!? I can' t drink at my job, can you? would you want a bunch of drunko's handling your event for you?! The more they drank the more unprofessional the service became, these people need to understand when you rent out a business, you need to take your emotions out of it, they clearly didn't. They treated guests as if they were trespassing their private property, HELLO! You rented out your establishment for a wedding, who comes...race...color....size....should not matter and if it does. I'm sure they make a dummies book for how to run a business, they need to read it because obviously they have no clue about how to run their FINE ( can you sense the sarcasm? GOOD!) establishment. The thing is, when you hire people and rent a venue, it's a party for you and YOUR closest friends, you want them to drink and enjoy themselves, well.... these people act like they are a part of the party, running around drinking and forgetting that this isn't THEIR event. I wouldn't want anyone to go through the tragedy we went through here, you deserve better than this. Chose a place that will be professional and that will have your best interest at heart make your event memorable. On a positive note, the only good thing out of this whole thing was they had a really great Riesling. Harmony??!! Harmony Wynelands is the antithesis of harmony! We went wine tasting today searching for a winery to become members of. I should have done my homework and researched Yelp before heading out. We first went to a winery two miles away from Harmony which by the way had excellent wine, friendly service, and a reasonable tasting fee policy that was communicated to us. The second place we went to was Harmony, empty tasting room, except for us which should have been a sign. The mom stated that their winery was the most popular winery venue in the area for weddings (highly doubtful). We saw the bleak set up for a wedding tonight and were unimpressed. Their bouschet wine "almost won an award." Hmmm. Now I'm not believing anything she says. Mom was unfriendly, maybe because she was SO overworked with two customers, and NEVER explained their unreasonable tasting fee policy. They (arrogant son and unfriendly mom) were more concerned about tasting fees than selling wine or other merchandise judging by the unharmonious heated exchange (initiated on their end) that ensued over their crappy policy. What? We're out for a nice afternoon of wine tasting I don't want to argue with anyone let alone the owners. If I was aware of this crappy policy I wouldn't have purchased anything more than tastings. I'm not swayed, like some of the reviewers here, with a musty organ and an overfed cat. There is no way I could ever enjoy the wine we purchased, so I will be giving it away. We will not only not become members of their wine club we will NEVER step foot in their tasting room again AND tell every wine drinker we know about our experience. More importantly, please research other venues before deciding on this one for your wedding; because the region is brimming with excellent choices. I have a strong suspicion that the positive reviews posted on this site for Hamony are posted by their friends and not actual customers. read more

We worked with vendors that were very familiar with this winery and truly had an amazing evening. Our family and friends are still talking about it! I had my wedding here this last weekend. the venue is spectacular and really provides an intimate and romantic vintage feel. My guests were just absolutely in awe at how beautiful the venue was. Shaun and Linda, (son and mother) run the vineyard together along with bob, the owner. Bob delights crowds with his magnificient pipe organ, an instrument they built the whole tasting room around. Linda can be a bit particular about coordinating your event and definitely has many ideas of her own. I think years of experience has made her this way. Sean (shawn? Shaun?) is awesome and extremely accommodating of his guests. And Linda runs a business--so there are two very different personality types you encounter when dealing with these two--understand that they both compliment each other and make this venue successful. However, I was treated like family there from the day I booked the venue up to this very day, more than a year later. The venue is intimate and doesn't seem pretentious or uppity--and then Bob plays the pipe organ and you are captivated and filled with overwhelming emotion. All of a sudden a small, intimate venue turns into a room fit to announce a king and queen to tea. There is no hard liquor allowed at this venue, and because of Lodi's noise ordinance, they either have to move your party inside to the tasting room or turn the music down to a certain decibel level after 10:00 pm. We didn't notice anything was missing really. Their wines are some of the best I've had and I mainline their champagne like gatorade after a hot day in the sun since it's so good. My guests were delighted with the stories they told about the vineyard and the personal tales they (shaun and linda) shared. Everyone loved how intimate it was, yet they can seat up to 170 I believe (don't quote me). The prices were reasonable (wine prices, venue prices, deposit expectations, etc.), and their wines are worth every sip. The event went smooth, all my stuff was neatly packed up the next day even though I thrashed the bridal room, and things seemed to go according to planned. I accidentally overbooked the beverage package by 10 or more people, they found a way to rectify this even though in my contract it was an "all sales final" number tally I gave. I really enjoyed my day. We had a few pitfalls--they didn't want to crack the champagne until after the ceremony. Ugh. And one of the ladies working the wine counter was nickel and diming us for every bottle of champagne we had before the wedding--had I known I would have brought one of my many bottles of champagne from home to avoid the conflict. However, shaun is an amazing people person and understands that it's his customers that keep the place alive and he does everything in his power to keep everyone happy. I really want to give them 5 stars because I definitely felt like a family member there and had a beautiful wedding that I pictured only in my dreams. But you do have to navigate the rules and expectations of the vineyard a bit, and follow Lodi's obnoxious ordinances such as no hard liquor, no loud music, etc. I had also spoken to them about setting up the wedding decor the day before months in advance and the thursday before I had everyone lined up to be there on friday, they informed me that they had scheduled all the landscaping and cleaning people to be there and setting up early would only result in my decorations getting dirty. We were not allowed to set up as early as we would have liked. I felt like I wasted the time of 5 different people that showed up that day expecting to decorate and were not allowed to. We were only permitted to set up during non-business hours as they do not close the venue down on saturdays just because you have a wedding there later that evening. We had plenty of time to decorate in retrospect, but only because I had a crew of people willing to help and slam it all out. I recommend having a decorating crew ready to go and just staging elements of the decor before you do it as they will not give you an 8 hour day before to get things ready and feel good about it. Linda assured me it would all get done. She was right, but it all came together at the last minute. Not desirable for a planning savvy bride. I do want to thank them all for my terrific day. All in all it was a success and my guests said everything was above and beyond and totally over the top. What more could a bride ask for from a wedding review? The four stars is because of the difficulty trying to navigate my wedding alongside with normal business hours of the venue and a chain of emails that had to happen over changing out my beer preferences that should have been an easy switch. Honestly I didn't think they were going to change them and it started to stress me out a lot. but they did come through in the end and it was a fairytale wedding when all was said and done. read more

Now, the service is okay depending on the time of day, depending on what time you get there, depending on who is serving, depending on how they are feeling. The beautiful grounds set the stage as you arrive and it only gets better when you walk into the tasting room. Greeted by the family that actually owns the winery is a nice touch. They are professional and knowledgeable. (I have been to other wineries where the people are unable to talk to you about the wines they are serving.) I was at Harmony Wynelands during Wine and Chocolates Celebration recently and they did a beautiful job. There were people from every walk of life and all were treated equally and all left smiling. A fun place to pop in every once in a while. They have a great late harvest zin for about $15. Nothing else really to write home about, but the place is fun. It's built in a big pipe organ and they will even get someone out to play some old stuff for you if you'd like. A neat experience. The wine maker is also the youngest (or 2nd youngest) in Lodi and has some true talent and is nice to chat with for a bit. Not necessarily a place you have to stop, but every once in a while or for people new to the area it's a cool experience. read more

I attended a wedding a few weeks ago. The setting is quaint and the pipe organ is nice. The reception left much to be desired. The father of the bride asked for a glass of wine before the wedding and they were very slow about serving. ( He said I am paying for it) The play-list for music had been sent ahead twice but the DJ had his own agenda. He was asked and indicated he would down load the songs but never did and continue to play songs that guest could n After several complaints it was decided to move the reception. I agree with Mariela. I believe the family are prejudice. I had to say something because it is such an important day in ones life. This venue does not deserve an average three star rating. I got married at this winery a few weeks ago. All the negative feedback couldn't be more accurate. I'm so upset I didn't read this before I threw my money away. The owner is a drunk and the rudest person I've encountered in a long time. She changed her story and contract more times than you could imagine. She has no idea what she is doing. We got ripped off so bad and they even ripped off the rental place I rented my linens from. They give you a piece of paper that they call a contract and after filing in small claims court we found out it's not a contract at all. Needless to say the day I looked forward to for a year of long stressful planning was ruined by this place. The owner charged me and extra 500.00 for having extra bartenders and help with the reception of which they never showed up. My wedding party arrived to the winery an hour before the wedding to find nothing was set up as is states in the contract. Linda the owner had a dinner party to attend so she left and went on to her dinner. My bridesmaids in their dresses had to set up everything. We were out earlier that morning and found ants everywhere and brought it to the owners attention. She said she would have someone spray for us. When it was time to cut my cake it was infested with huge red ants. I got plenty of pictures of that. We had to buy their wine at 186.00 a case of which we were shorted 6 bottles. The son was helping as so we were told but when he showed up he brought a car full of his friends to join my reception. The women he had were so rude. They even sat their purses down on top of the bridal table while they grabbed wine and were enjoying theirselves at my wedding. I poured a glass of red wine inside one of the purses I was so angry. After the reception we are packing up to leave to find the owners son and his friends smoking marijuana my our truck. That's professional!! This is after the son sat at my bridal table with my groom and had a glass or 2 and chatted about how inconsistent his mother is and that's why he's there to take over. Now I've been trying to get my deposit back and it's been excuse after excuse. Remember I said it was 500 more totalling 3000 because she was hiring extra help. Well yesterday I received a bill for 1200 and it says for busing device. We signed our "contract" that she said their accountant wrote up back in February. When I asked about the inconsistencies on it in May, Linda took it and wrote in pen the things she wanted to add. Like the extra 500.00, that voided the contract. I guess their accountant doesnt give very good legal advice. After Linda the owners dinner party off grounds she showed up at my reception around 9pm so drunk she could barely stand up. I asked her for my 1st anniversary cake that someone put in their cooler for me and she couldn't stand to get the keys. Needless to say again, they somehow lost my cake!! I don't recommend this place at all for anything. I'm surprised after all the lawsuits against them that this place is still open. They will rip you off, make your wedding a complete disaster and enjoy the wine and food you pay for with their friends, at your reception. If anyone would like to dispute this, I have video of the sons friends gathered around and drinking at my bridal party, pictures of ants all over the tables and all over my wedding cake and video of the owner Linda so drunk she's stumbling all over the place. If I could give negative stars I would. We are suing for a complete refund. With the pictures, paperwork and videos I have no doubt this place will be out of business. I recently held a corporate function at this vineyard. We were in the tasting room which also serves as a concert hall and event center. I was blow away by the customer service, the tasting room decor and the pipe organ. What a lovely place. The grounds are also very, very nice and we enjoyed all the wine we tasted. We had the opportunity to meet the owners and the wine maker. What a interesting, lovely family. I plan to return at every opportunity. What a great family, local owned business. read more
