Interesting experience. Tasting room pourer was a little odd, we didn't care for the wines much either.

My husband and I got married on Sept 20th 2014 at Harmony! We booked the venue WELL in advance because it was such a great value. When you're planning a wedding every penny counts. I was born and raised in Lodi and moved to the Bay Area for college. My Husband was born and raised in Placerville, but also moved to the Bay Area for college. We looked at all kinds of venues from Santa Cruz to Placerville/Folsom. Aside from a couple of SMALL venues in Placerville, Harmony was by far the best bang for our buck. I received so many great compliments about the venue from my guests. It was a great size for our 150 guest wedding... not too big...not too small. It offered beautiful views of the vineyards and a lovely reception area. The tasting room is a bit kitschy with it's theater organ and vino themed gifts/trinkets around. However, when it started raining having one of our guests hop on the theater organ really made things fun! Harmony offers a catering package for an additional charge with their venue rental or you can use a preferred caterer. We went outside catering (see my review for Da Vincis of Lodi) and did not feel stressed about the coordination at all. Linda, the owner of Harmony and the event coordinator was very helpful when we could get a hold of her. It was a bit difficult working with her remotely from the Bay Area (or trying to go through my mom). Email was not always the best way to communicate... I would recommend in person meetings or phone calls.... followed up with written communication. My experience, in general with planning, was that having a paper trail was very important for all my vendors. Biggest challenges were communication and coordinating payments (keep a paper trail). Overall the wedding went smoothly with no hitches. Linda and her team even extended our open bar by an hour, free of charge. It was a beautiful venue and I would recommend it to any local couples! I'm a little shocked to see the negative reviews because when I went with the hubby we had a good time. And we're both Latinos by the way. We were the only ones there so we got full attention from Shaun who was on the cover of some wine magazine. He was very nice and spoke at length about the wines. In fact, we even spoke about religion and philosophy. We really enjoyed our tasting, didn't feel rushed and actually learned something about wine. The place is really cute with a nice garden area. They mentioned they do weddings and even have the organ operating when they play old silent films. Seemed like a good time. We ended up buying their recommended red dessert wine. read more

We were having a lovely evening at the annual Lincoln Center Wine Stroll until we tasted at Dennis Shea Shoes where Harmony Wynelands was sampling. This pourer was SO INCREDIBLY RUDE, HOSTILE & ARGUMENTATIVE! We waited in an extremely long line that was stopped up for 10 minutes or more by some young girls that he chatted & continued to pour to. Everyone in front and behind us were commenting & complaining (this is NOT a tasting room it is a STROLL). When we finally reached the front of the line I simply made a comment on how we would be swiftly moving through the line and he WENT OFF, was raising his voice in a manner NOT APPROPRIATE for a fundraiser & especially representing BOTH Lincoln Center & the winery. He insisted on having the last word even as we walked away shouting at us. What a DISGRACE!! My dear friends Duane & Emmeline planned to have their wedding reception at the Lexington waterfront downton stockton, everything was moving a long, deposit was put down, everything was set to go, then the place shut down 1 month before the wedding!! Crazy!!.......I helped call a couple of places but they could not take them. I called Linda over at Harmony Wynelands and she said she would do everything she can to make the wedding happen. Well she came through on her word and made the wedding happen in less than 3 WEEKS!!! AMAZING!! I posted a few pictures up of the wedding. Please take a look at our event. Everyone had such a great time. Our pictures are the ones with all the minorities: the asians, hispanics and blacks at the wedding. I read some of these reviews on here and couldn't believe what people are accusing.... Weddings are extremely stressful for the bride, groom and their families so it's understandable that everything must go right....but if not 100% goes your way, please don't throw the "Race" card into it.....because that's getting old, that's been waaaay old. These people are not racists......It's one thing to be disappointed with your service or it wasn't what you thought it would be but it's unfair and unwarranted to make a personal attack on someone's personal reputation without knowing them. It's just wrong!! (Did those people ever think that maybe they were difficult to work with and what they wanted or expected was impossible and they were the pain in the ass to work with, Just Saying) Take a step back and look at yourself before you start complaining....any smart bride would have spent the extra money to hire a "day of coordinator" to make sure that their wedding went smooth....all you have to do is show up and look pretty. We had no problems whatsoever with Harmony Wynelands and they really made this wedding happen. I'm impressed if anything. The whole staff was friendly and helpful. They always walked around and made sure everyone was alright. Just wanted to say thanks and give you guys my 100% support!! Also i've been to 2-3 wine tasting events here and it's great!! We had our daughters wedding here last weekend. It was like a storybook, magical evening. All the quests were raving about the ambiance of the venue. They have manicured the grounds to create a lush, intimate and absolutely beautiful entertaining space. We booked the wedding using what they call the Maestro package. It is basically a one stop inclusive deal. They set you up with what has to be the best of the best in vendors with incredible knowledge of weddings. Bakery, caterers, DJ and florist were professional, quick to respond to any and all questions and the products they delivered were amazing. It was such an easy, non stressful way of doing things. Our guests are still calling and raving about the food. I have heard over and over it was the best wedding they have attended! Brides, honestly this place will make your wedding dreams come true! They all work together in taking your ideas and bring them to life. They have a wedding coordinator, Alina who is organized, kind and has a lovely attention to detail while making the entire day flow to perfection. We LOVED her. Linda the owner and her son Shaun are kind, professional and offer what I feel is the most perfect environment for your wedding! This post is for those future brides that think this is a good place to have a wedding after Linda "sweet talks" you into signing the contract. As a bride I was told I wouldn't have to do anything, Linda would contact my vendors for me, help me plan my itinerary and be there as my coordinator the day of the wedding to make my day exactly what I wanted. After I signed paperwork and paid a couple of payments, all of that sweet talk went right in the trash. The turn over rate for wedding coordinators was ridiculous, they changed my coordinator THREE times. I met my 3rd coordinator 3 weeks before my wedding. The 3rd coordinator had a lot on her plate due to the fact that my second coordinator (Linda) did not do one single thing. I emailed Linda my vendor list twice and she NEVER contacted them. Linda said she did not receive those particular emails (even though she responded back to them). She did not abide by certain things that were on my SIGNED contract. Linda informed me 3 weeks before my wedding that I could not have certain decor or place settings (even though I had everything already planned and ready to go) she mentioned the decor that was not allowed was stated in the contract, but IT WAS NOT. If it was stated in my contract to begin with, I would not have spent hours and hours planning certain decorations when they weren't even allowed. That doesn't make sense. So 3 weeks before my wedding I realized that I just waisted A LOT of time, energy and money and had to plan certain decor/place settings all over again because no one told me these rules when I signed the contract. On my 3 week meeting, Linda said she would not provide things that she already "verbally" stated she would provide. I would ask her questions about the wedding night and she answered in a tone like I was stupid for asking. She previously told me she would take care of the "day of" itinerary, but on this night she told me I can do it and to get it to her asap. (Not like I didn't have anything else to do, with all of the things she changed on me last minute) I walked off crying my eyes out, when I came back she did not batt an eye that I was upset. Like I said my 3rd coordinator had one heck of a job due to the fact that she had to do everything within 3 weeks. Her and her crew (husband too) did a great job helping us make our day great. After the wedding, friends of mine told me at the wedding night they over heard the venue staff cussing and talking negatively about my vendors that "they didn't do shit". It is really frustrating that my friends and family have to hear unprofessional remarks from staff and are bothered by it so much that they had to let me know about it on my honeymoon. I also find it really frustrating that if my vendors were a little more informed about the small details and someone from Harmony would actually have a conversation with them before the wedding, like it stated in my contract everything would have gone a lot smoother. Also Linda said I could come 2 hours before the wedding starts to take picture (absolutely not enough time by the way DO NOT AGREE TO THIS) and the tasting room would be closed to the public. So my bridesmaids and I get there and there is a huge crowd of customers drinking wine out in the tasting room. These people stayed until an hour before my wedding. ONE HOUR. While everyone is setting up the decorations, my bridesmaids are coming in and out of the dressing room in their robes, it was so awkward. I thought it was extremely unprofessional and made me so uncomfortable that we didn't have our own space. I was so upset how my wedding process was handled, I don't want to talk to anyone from Harmony, I don't want an apology. I just want to inform future brides about my experience so no one has to go through what I went through. When someone tells me they are getting married, I now go out of my way to tell them how bad of an experience I had with Harmony. And trust me Linda will try to sweet talk you and tell you it will all be puppies and rainbows but I'm here to tell you it won't! Just walk away and have your wedding at a different venue! read more

Inbettween excellent and fantastic is my review. As a Wedding Photographer and Wine Lover, I can truly say that Harmony Wynelands really catches my attention. Out in the country and completely private. When only the best wines will do. Linda, Bob, & Shaun are the perfect blend of personalities that make it fun to go and visit. Great winery with great people, wine, pours and location. Absolutely beautiful venue for a wedding or any event for that matter. Walked out of there after 2 hours with 5 bottles and an event planned. This was my first visit to this winery. The only reason we even stopped was a recommendation from another winery and the fact that they were open till 5:30p on a Sunday. I heard there was a good story about the origin of the organ, but I was too busy drinking wine to remember the details. Honestly, I don't remember much about their wine, which may not be a good sign. negative reviews?!? Im unsure why.. it was a beautiful place wine was great and they had wonderful prices. We spent most of the day looking for a Riesling and finally found two here. We recommend the 09 Riesling (YUM) (around $15) well I kind of recommend most of the whites!! Got a chance to taste the desert wine (red) and it is a great mixture with the bubble wine. I can not wait to come back and taste their new brand Pipe Dream and the other new releases they have coming out. read more

This place is great! Small quaint little family run winery. Their Pipedreams zin is amazing. So is the late harvest. They have plenty of places to sit and relax. There's a small garden, a court yard, a fire pit in the back looking over the vineyard. I was there for chocolate and wine Lodi festival. Was way overloaded with wine so I only tried the pipedreams and it was the only wine I specifically remember. So I came back for it. They've sold out already of three of their wines already. read more

I've really tried to look past one of the staff's negative attitude over the years. I'm sad to say I've had enough of Linda's short, snotty answers to questions and her unpleasantness overall. Look at this establishment's other reviews Yelpers-you'll see I'm not the only one. Whether its on the phone or in person, this woman shouldn't interact with the public as she has no clue about customer service or how to talk to people in a civilized manner. Shaun has always been tremendously helpful and kind about answering questions. After years of frequenting this winery I've decided to no longer venture here and will spend my money elsewhere. We had our 25th Anniversary Party there this past weekend. We've been planning it for nearly 6 moths. It's a great spot to have an event. We had 50 people total and had a buffet style dinner. We served wine/beer/soda/water. Linda was fantastic and very professional through the entire process. My wife who is very organized and asks lots of questions, asked Linda tons of questions and Linda really went out of her way to explain everything in the details that my wife wanted. Linda was very patient with my wife and reassured her that everything was going to work out. Here is what we did. The shin-dig started at 6:00pm. Most people got there around 5:30. Didn't phase Linda at all. Even though people were still there wine tasting, she started to serve our guests. Our guests were greeted with a glass of champagne. They were then directed to the "garden" area. A little grassy area in the front area. They had chairs setup for everyone to sit and enjoy their champagne until we were ready to say our little speeches. We did our speeches under a covered area. Covered with Wisteria. While we were doing our little speeches etc.. Linda was setting up the hors d'oeuvres and getting the wine out ready to pour. So by the time we finished our speeches everyone came into the tasting room and were greeted with wine/beer/non-alcoholic stuff and there was a beautifully displayed presentation of our hors d'oeuvres. One thing I'd like to point out here. Linda was in no rush to do anything which was perfect. We have a very chatty group of friends and family. Even though dinner was suppose to be served at 7:00, Linda sort of "read the room" and gave us another 20 minutes or so. Again.. PERFECT! She communicated that with us every step of the way. That is a very rare talent I have found. Dinner was a Salmon with a demi glace and a beef dish with fantastic sauce. (I can't remember what the sauce was called or what kind of beef, but it was great stuff!). We had a beautiful salad with wild berries in and tons of other stuff with a really nice dressing. I can't remember what it was called, but it was sort of sweet which went right with the salad. We brought our own desserts but Linda set it all up in the Gazebo. We did NOTHING! It was perfect. Dancing, laughing we did it all and everyone had a great time. So bottom line is this. Linda took care of everything for us. She had a "point" person to talk to if she needed some questions answered. The staff she had working with her worked their tails off and it really showed. Everyone of my party guests came up to me the next day (today) and complemented us on the venue that we chose. I first came to this place for a surprise mother's day pick-nick. It was on a beautiful Sunday afternoon and the pipes were playing. The kids were having a great time. The place is absolutely beautiful, so much I decided to have a event at this location. The owner, Linda was very helpful, and had many great ideas and suggestions. The event was well liked by those who attended. I was even asked if we could have another event at Harmony. The wine is absolutely wonderful! Try their Riesling, Alicante Bouschet , Sparkling Wine, and the Pipe Dreams. I'm not much a reds person because of the sulfur, but when I found out the Pipe Dreams has less sulfur then most reds, I was hooked. Some of the reviews said the owner was rude, I have a really hard time believing what was said because of the experience I had. It almost makes me think those people judged too quickly. read more

I have attended two events at Harmony Wynelands, my niece's wedding in 2014 and recently my high school's 40th reunion. Harmony is a wonderful, picturesque venue with a rustic charm akin to many better-known Napa/Sonoma wineries. And, compared to the exorbitant costs of these venues Harmony is a veritable bargain. Run by Linda and her son Shaun my experience is a complete opposite to what I have read in other posts. I found both to be gracious, accommodating and willing to go the extra mile to insure a memorable occasion. I would highly recommend Harmony for those major milestones in your life: weddings, graduation parties, reunions, etc. read more

This is a review for yesterday January 22nd event that was canceled without any notice: My girls and I signed up for a paint and wine event for here on December 26, 2016 for the event of Come Out and Play on January 22, 2017 @ 11:00 am. We had 10 girls sign up for my future sister-in-law bridal shower and drove at least 80 miles from the bay area and were really looking forward to this event. We drove to the winery at around 10am yesterday and walked around to check if anyone was there. There were padlocks so no one knew what was going on. It was not raining and around 11 AM the painter instructor for the event notified us that it was canceled without warning. This was extremely disappointing as we drove so far out and there was no one there to provide an update sooner. This is extremely unprofessional and such lack of communication or notice that I really hope they work on this. The instructor was really kind and informed us that the people at the winery would not allow anyone access and that they were shut down. She recommended downtown Lodi for a winery and thankfully THANKFULLY we lucked out and had a really wonderful time. We experienced extremely poor customer service at this winery. read more

I had my wedding here 6/06/09 and it was absolutely beautiful. I wanted to be married in a beutiful out door venue. When my husband and I walked into Harmony Wynelands we both looked at each other and said, "This is where we are going to get married." It is a good thing their prices were reasonable because our hearts were set. The owner/manager was a little shy at first, but once we got to know each other, she was so sweet and helpful. I think that some of these reviews were written by some very angry and critical people. Shawn and his companion were the bartenders the night of the wedding and everyone loved them. The owner linda was very helpful with explaining the wines, there was a wide variety of flavors and types available for tasting. Very friendly atmosphere and if you want, upon request you can see how an orchestra organ works. Being new to the wine tasting world I have found that this place has been the best. read more

If I could give this place negative stars I would. We were at this location for the wedding of my cousin. The owner woman treated my cousin very rudely throughout the entire process starting with the wedding rehearsal. She and her son were openly rude to many of the minority guest (meaning hispanic, black, anything besides white) and refused to serve them, instead making her son "deal with these people." We were paying customers and they treated us like peasants. They are required to serve us as their clients, and they could not even be professional. Besides the rudeness I described above, they also proceeded to get intoxicated and antagonize the guests of the wedding party. They truly ruined my cousin's special day. I hope that no one gives them business because they were racist and unprofessional hosts. I think the cats were more friendly then they were. I mean down to the fact that they would not even play the music that the guests wanted to hear around 10pm as to not disturb the neighbors. I had my wedding there in January of 2012. The owner was RUDE DEMANDING and TO DRUNK to keep her stories straight about payment. Which in turned cause family turmoil at my special day that 6 months later is still an issue! Price for facility was great! Facility was nice, accommodations nice, remove the owner and just deal with her son Shaun and the experience would have been great! We caught the owner pouring semi empty glasses in to another glass to recycle wine that had been paid for already THATS GROSS! Brides strongly consider the personnel when looking for a venue! They have a beautiful pipe organ that fills the room and a wonderful cat name Gato. We had the whole place to ourselves on Thursday. We were treated like visiting family. I even signed for their UPS package and my husband retrieved a box of wine from the back storage area because the tasting room was out. read more

Overall our wedding at Harmony was amazing. Harmony is an absolutely beautiful location. It was priced right, and they were very flexible. We had 80 people, but they could easily have had over 150 comfortably. Their wine is really good, and the servers were friendly, and gracious. Linda can sometimes be a little stern, but she returned our calls on time and made sure that everything worked perfectly. She is really good with answering questions for vendors, etc. We ordered chairs because theirs are a little cheap, their tables are nice and the indoor furniture, decor is fantastic. They had market lights in the courtyard and made sure all the bulbs worked before the wedding which made the ambiance amazing. They also watered the day before so nobody had wet shoes. The one complaint that I had was we paid an extra hour for the wedding to end at 10:30, and it ended at 9:30... didn't really matter though because everyone was good and tipsy and all danced out. I have been to quite a few weddings, and although I am a little biased because it was my wedding, I have to say it went fantastic. We had quite a few compliments about Harmony. Note: Don't let bob play the organ for the ceremony (kinda cheesy, though you may like that stuff), but ask him to play during the cocktail hour, pretty cool.. read more

When I was planning my outdoor wedding, I called many wineries. I set up an appointment at Harmony Wynelands to discuss wedding packages and see the property. Upon arrival I realized the lady in charge was quite rude. I wandered around the property on my own as she couldn't be bothered to show me around. When I asked about prices and prior weddings she tossed a photo album at me and walked away. She was more concerned about the telephone and another person who walked in. I was frustrated by the lack of customer service, I walked out and have never been back. After reading some of the other reviews, I'm glad I chose to have my wedding elsewhere. read more

Went to wedding here for the first and it was nice and intimate. I had a good time considering my allergies were kicking my butt that day. I was dissappointed that the wedding was outside and expecting a indoor reception. They had a nice set up for the wedding. One of the cons about this place is parking. I wish they had a bigger parking lot to park our cars. Now I know where this little place is, I'll make sure to take my allergy medications before attending another event there. read more

We just held a lovely reception at Harmony Wynelands. I'll admit that I didn't thoroughly read the reviews before booking here, but upon meeting the staff and booking the location, I could tell that we'd need to keep a close eye on things and confirm (and reconfirm) the components of our event and plan to keep things running smoothly. All in all, our event turned out just fine. We required minimal setup from their staff and minimal organization on their part, as we handled most of it on our end. Harmony did set up tables and place linens and our centerpieces, the patio looked lovely. It's a beautiful setting and worth considering--just book the space and handle all of the logistics and hire out for everything else. There was only one odd thing... we held our event on the outdoor patio, which was separated from the tasting room by a closed door. When booking the event, we let them know that we'd hired a musician for the beginning of our (daytime) event and they said it was no problem. About 15 minutes into our musician playing, the staff person asked if our musician "could take a 5 minute break" because they wanted to have someone play their pipe organ (inside the tasting room) and they didn't want our hired musician to interfere with their organ! I was definitely taken aback, I mean, we paid a lot of money to book this venue and a lot to hire a musician -- now we were being asked if he could stop playing? It seemed a very odd request considering we had permission for the musician to play. Not wanting any problems, we dismissed our musician and let the organ music go on... it was actually cool having the organ music for a little while, but still - very odd. What this place needs is a business manager/event planner. They need a person who understands the business and who is organized, technologically savvy and good with people. I truly think they could double their event business if they had someone like this on board. With family-owned establishments, the folks who run things are often just there by default. They are not hired for being good at their job, they are there because they are "family". I don't think that the people who run Harmony are intentionally rude-- they don't try to be cold, unaccommodating or unprofessional, they just aren't good with people, and it comes across the wrong way. read more

The place is nice. But I did a dj wedding gig on pass weekend in this place, we have a very horrible experience from management.. she keep telling us to shut the music down. A wedding reception music is been interrupted by management..that's a BIG No No.. read more

Stayed here as Harveat Host members. Arrived in our RV rhe night before, and went in to meet the owner and do some wine tasting. The grounds are beautiful and the wines were good. It was a downer vibe though. Linda gave us a few pours and turned the organ on... I'm just more into wineries that tout their wines though. She wasnt interested in sharing stories of their uniqueness or any feature about their wines, staff, vineyards, etc. We asked a lot of questions about where their various grapes are grown, where they process, etc.. I felt as though we were a burden and she had more important things to tend to. We wanted a bottle but with the "that's it?" response from her, we felt obligated to get a second bottle. Stayed long enough to drink a glass and got out of there. My husband and I are passionate about wine, and about local, small winery operations. It's too bad that the owner doesn't share the passion. Bummed :( it's the first Harvest Host location that disappointed us. read more

This is a regular stop when friends come into town and we go wine tasting. The grounds are beautiful and the staff is always very nice. On several occasions the owners son has gone to the house and asked his father to come out and play their beautiful pipe organ. Last weekend was the first time I had been there for an event. They set up in a beautiful courtyard which is right next to the tasting room. What a great place to host an event. read more

Although they were beginning to set up for a wedding in the courtyard, Shaun still managed to give us a great tasting. Shaun is the owner's son and quite the conversationalist. We talked about various topics aside from wine including his childhood and also a funny discussion on how entitiled the new generation is lol. Harmony Wynelands is adorable. I can whole-heartedly advice a bride to choose it for a wedding venue. Now, I wasn't the easiest bride to ever have a vineyard wedding but Linda handled me beautifullly. I had no idea what I wanted. We were on a tight budget and the whole time she was very understanding about my chaos. The day of the wedding she was awesome. She helped coordinate things beautifully. It's the little details that made the day special - when things got cold and she brought out blankets to all the under dressed guests. The location is beautiful - the lawn is kept, the vineyard was lush, the barn made a perfect back drop for my wedding photos. I couldn't have been happier with the experience! :) read more
