This is a health grocery store, which carries a variety of supplements, snacks, beverages and other food items. When you walk inside, it has the "healthy" smell to it, if you know what I mean. At the very back of the store is where they have a walk-up counter where drinks are made to order. The menu is displayed above and there were so many options to choose from (and ingredients were listed, so you knew what was in it). Almost everything had a little healthy twist to it, so it was like ordering a guilt-free sweet treat! When they make your drink you take your receipt up to the register to pay. And while they were making our drinks it also gave us time to browse around the store. Definitely great if you need some snacks for the road! I left with the Piña Colada smoothie and it was simple, but delicious! The perfect beverage to help me cool down. It's a great store! Highly recommend!

No parking lot is no problem, plenty of parking along the small pavement road. The only thing you got to watch for is that right before reaching into the farm destination, there is a tight bottleneck where the road gets a bit tight. But it is the only exit and entrance, used by two opposing traffic. So it can get kind of tight and one car has to steer off the road just a bit to make room so both car can pass along. For one hour tour, there was surprisingly a lot! First segment is interacting with a small herd of Alpacas in the outer farm. The second half is where you head into the inner portion of the farms where you'll be given food to feed the alpacas. There is a llama as well with the herd during the second half of the tour. Then afterwards, you get to go to the little shop on second floor of the farmhouse, where a cat name Charlie could be seen.

This gem of a garden isn't just my butt's savior now on long drives up from LA, but it's a sliver of paradise found--and sanity regained. Just walking around here for 15-20 mins. and you'll feel your blood pressure drop a few notches to a pleasant state of calm. You can explore the themed areas, take in the vegetation around you, and get landscaping tips just from strolling around their property. The plant things are grouped in various climate/hemispheres and it's nice to see them taking root and being incorporated in a seamless design (and it's nice shopping experience too). I was impressed with the selection and bought a few small air plants and succulents that are still thriving with offshoots. Prices are reasonable. For pros looking for inspo, I think this place that can offer Interior Designers & Landscapers creativity with plants. Or even the DIY Weekend Warrior looking to revamp their current landscaping or add a little something new to it. There were plaques for each different garden. Plaques I noticed (though there might be more) were South African Garden, Mediterranean Garden, Grassland, Cottage Garden, Native Garden, Succulent Garden, Central/South American garden, Australian garden, and Asian garden. My favorite was the Asian garden because it had a pond with koi fish.

Is everyone who works here on meds or something? Coffee was terrible and watered-down, and simple premade sandwiches took 20 minutes to heat in a panini press and bring out. Food was very mediocre and my "poached" egg was basically hard boiled. I saw their posts on SNS showing them helping local people. I thought it was wonderful, so I wanted to support their local business too. There is outdoor seating, you can have coffee with your dog! There is no parking around the café, so I park in the public parking lot near the beach. Why not stop by this café while you are at the beach or shopping in downtown Carpinteria?
