Food: Rori's has the best tasting ice cream going on the Central coast and surrounding areas. I've been to the Ventura & Arroyo Grande locations and they are fantastic as well. They use high quality ingredients and you cannot go wrong with whatever you decide to order. They actually have chunks in their ice cream, unlike the overrated Handels. However, that's another story for another time. One of my personal favorites is the Pistachio Ice cream loaded with delicious nuts. The chocolate peanut butter is fantastic and the chocolate with chunks of fudge brownies throughout the frozen masterpiece. Muy Delicious! Service: The service is fantastic and they greet you with a smile and they are very accommodating and very dog friendly. Ambiance: The ambiance is not the greatest here and very small. It is a shared location with a Mexican restaurant. However, you're going here for delicious ice cream. Furthermore, they have tables set up outside on the sidewalk with umbrellas and it is usually shaded here with dog friendly people always walking by. I would like to see them eventually get their own stand alone place similar to Ventura with room to move around. I would give this place overall a 4.5 review due to ambiance. However, on Yelp they get 5 stars because half's don't exist. . It would be a sin to give them 4 stars here. 5 stars all the way. Rori Trovato has empire in the making. To me, this is the best ice cream in the world. The way I know this is because: it could not be better. It's the same reason I know Barry Bonds is the best hitter I've ever seen. One day the world will understand what I say to be true -- one day, Rori's will have its day in the sun. It's Q-U-A-L-I-T-Y in all caps. It's everything I could ever want in an ice cream. My favorite flavors are chocolate ice chunk, banana brown sugar, and salted caramel. 100/100 score. If you know, you know. P.S. Rori's makes McConnell's look like child's play. Many will disagree. Excellent quality ice cream. Kinda pricey, but servings are good amount. Got the single + extra + extra = 3 scoops I guess. And it was packed into the larger cup for an overindulgence for me and my wife, lol! Pistachio has tons of pieces. Salted caramel so smooth and satisfying. Wife always enjoys any of the coffee flavors. Several locations, like the one in SB market and tried Carpinteria. This location had the friendliest gal who helped us in Feb. The lemon curd is my favorite. Has that lemon flavor that's not too tart, but it has a refreshing flavor to it. I was not a fan of their flavor of the month. I didn't get much blueberry flavor from the June flavor of the month. It had more gram cracker/cinnamon flavor. Ill stick to my lemon curd in the future! They do have picnic benches for you to sit on to enjoy your ice cream. read more

Rori's is my go to when I'm craving ice cream. Yes, it's on the pricier side but the quality, portions and flavors match the price point. Plus the ice cream is made with real ingredients as opposed to artificial. My favorite flavors here are brown sugar banana and now the strawberry cheesecake. I loved the little chunks of cheesecake and the strawberry flavor was so good! Not too sweet. A great combo and you can split the flavors if ordering a single scoop. I normally go to the one in Santa Barbara at the Public Market, but this location is a smaller space with no seating or A/C inside. There are tables outside though and you get a nice view of the Main Street. I definitely recommend giving them a try! read more

Super cute little spot on the main strip. Stays open later than most of the businesses around there. I think Carpinteria may have a curfew. We were visiting the area and had a hankering for some ice cream and this place came highly recommended. It did not disappoint! I opted for the dairy free options but my friends taste tested almost all of the flavors and the people that work there couldn't have been nicer about it. My favorite by far not dairy free but the lavender was on another level. I am still dreaming of this ice cream. read more

Oh Rori's. Nestled in a tiny shop, sharing space with a great Mexican restaurant. You are a gem! It's a little tight inside with people when it's busy but it's worth it. The ice cream is hard to beat and their scoop sizes are pretty large and generous. They have a great option for the kids with unlimited toppings. Mind blown! It was my first time at the Carpinteria location. It's smaller than the one in my hometown of Ventura. Inside the shop your order what you want and then there are picnic style tables outside if you want to sit. They are also walking distance to the beach so I imagine that would be an enjoyable option on a warm day, which thankfully we have a lot of in Souther California. Today, I was drawn in by the Hot Chocolate and Ice Cream offering. Think Affogato. The service was excellent. She was very attentive to the smallest details. I decided to pair my hot chocolate with the Honey Lavender ice cream and it was a dream. So creamy and delicious. As a topping I had the cobbler crumble on the side. I enjoyed it outside as the sun was setting. Two recommendations I have is making sure the ice cream to hot chocolate ratio is balanced because once the ice cream that wasn't melted is consumed you are left with a less than full cup of hot chocolate, and the unmelted ice cream was at best 5 spoonfuls. Also, if there is a way to not use a microwave that would elevate the experience. For myself even though I enjoyed the new offering, I don't know if I would order again because of that. Just a thought. Overall, I love Rory's. The flavors of ice cream are delicious and unique. Some of my favorites are the Honey Lavender, Lemon Curd and the Passionfruit. read more

After a beach day, we were craving something sweet before heading back to Santa Clarita -- and wow, this spot delivered and then some. Honestly... this place might've ruined ice cream for me anywhere else I tried the Honey Almond Crunch and their Star-Spangled Banner July special, and both were absolutely incredible. The ice cream is so creamy, rich, and flavorful -- you can tell they don't skimp on quality. The jam in the Star-Spangled Banner was perfectly sweet and swirled throughout the scoop, while the Honey Almond Crunch was smooth, nutty, and delicious. The portions are huge -- one regular scoop was more than enough (I couldn't even finish!). I also loved how kind and attentive the staff were. They offered to keep my pints in their freezer while we enjoyed our cones outside -- such a thoughtful touch. And yes... I definitely took a couple pints home with me. Fantastic ice cream with interesting, but not too eclectic flavors. I hate when they put weird stuff in ice cream. Who wants Lavender in their ice cream? Be prepared for long lines during popular times. The store is super small. It is hard to get past people to see the flavors, but it is worth it. Store is small because it's split into two restaurants/stores. So it's a bit hard for a stroller or walker etc to get through. You order at the counter. Some seating outside (only ones marked for Roris). The ice cream itself is really yummy and fresh! The best in my opinion is the peanut butter candy flavor with homemade peanut butter candies, it's like Halloween candy in a cup. Anyways this place has some delicious and unique ice cream flavors (like the black pepper pistachio which was great). The fresh mint patty was like no ice cream flavor I've had. Not like a normal mint ice cream, it really did taste like fresh mint. You can sample as much as you want to try them out! The single scoop is incredibly big. The itty bitty size was the perfect amount to satisfy your craving and feeling happy :). They also do split flavors if you are like me and can't decide. The shop itself is small with no inside seating but they have a couple picnic tables outside to use. Both inside and outside the shop are clean and well kept! This place is your average, delicious ice cream spot. But it's so pricey! We walked in around 3:00 on a weekday, it was nice and empty. The worker who was scooping for us was helpful, but her replies were snappy and impatient. The ice cream is a bit on the expensive si, so we both got kids cups, and they served a substantial amount of ice cream. There are only 3 dairy free options. The inside does not have a lot of seating but the outside has benches and chairs to sit and enjoy. After we ordered, our ice cream was served in a quick fashion, we paid and left. The ice cream was delicious! Very creamy and rich. A bit more milk-y and soft than average, which I enjoyed. Service was neither amazing nor horrible, and the ice cream was delicious. Yeah, ice cream was good, but fair warning for those with celiac disease... The homemade gluten-free cones are not safe for celiac, they are made on the same waffle maker as the regular comes. They changed gloves and scoopers when you tell them about celiac, and there is not much worry with cross contamination with the ice cream as it is almost all gluten free... The gluten-free cones are fine for a dietary choice, but not for a medical restriction. read more

I went by for my second visit last night. First time I've had a chance to get back in a few months. I ordered the Salted Caramel. It was divine! Definitely some of the tastiest ice cream I've ever had. Now, per my complaint from my last visit: During my last visit, I'd ordered Salted Caramel on a sugar cone. I was barely out of the place before it was melting and literally streaming down my hand and onto my clothes (hence my less than stellar review). I remembered that this time and asked how melty the ice cream was. The server checked, and it looked really melty. I thought maybe I should get another flavor, and inquired about the Honey Almond Crunch. Also really melty. The server volunteered at that point that the caramel and honey flavors tended to be a little meltier due to the caramel and honey. We ultimately settled on getting ice cream in a cup, topped with a cone. My one and only complaint: if it is known that honey and caramel flavors have a lower melt temperature, let clients know before they wander out with a mess. Assuming the customer will know isn't helpful to the customer, because they won't. It was a much better experience this time. I really got to enjoy the ice cream without the panic I experienced last time. Really great stuff. read more

Delicious artisanal ice cream in a small setting. They share a space with a taco shop. I goofed - I didn't check in until after we paid, thereby missing out on a discount. Next time! The young lady who took care of us offered generous samples. Each flavor has a custom label describing the ingredients. I went for the mint patty. Sooo rich, creamy and flavorful! My only negative note is the minimal seating. There are a few tables at the front of their space, but they looked short, almost like visiting a first grade classroom. The waffle cone is really good and has an airy lightness to it I enjoyed. The ice cream in every flavor (vegan and not) was ultra rich, delicious and unique. I asked and then the cashier asked the other employee and said it's up too you and the cashier said no. it was before 5 and they would've give us a deal. it wasn't that big of deal that we didn't get a free ice cream but the way they were acting annoyed at us for no reason and it's not a choice it's what the menu said. there was also a sign that said it too.
