This Pilates Studio is located in Manoa Marketplace and has 3 levels of classes as well as PT. I have been a Pilates student for over 20 years, and Frank is an amazing coach/teacher/instructor. it is affordable compared to every other studios in Honolulu and in 6 months, you will see and feel your body getting toned, more flexible, and you will have more strength and balance; plus your energy levels increase. I also like that the average ages of attendees is from 25-75, with both men and women attending. read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PILATES STUDIO! They only want your money. No flexibility to accomodate clients that have been spending their money to support local business. I wish I could give them a minus zero. That's how bad this business is run. Spend your money where you feel appreciated it and value. read more

I'm new to Pilates and just completed my new client intro/assessment & 3 private intro sessions. Most people probably could do one or the other, but I'll be 70 soon with literally no athletic experience beyond walking. Frank was very patient explaining everything very clearly so that I'll be successful in the group classes. I found Frank very knowledgeable and attentive to how to strengthen the different muscles, build stamina and avoid injuries. He helped build my independence by briefly explaining what each exercise is doing and teaching me how to adjust the rings on the Pilates Reformer, move the equipment and how to care for them. There are also private areas for PT if needed. I'm looking forward to my group classes. Mahalo Frank and team! read more

I was touched inappropriately by one of the instructors during class. When I tried to have a conversation about this with the studio's manager, he ignored me for over a week, then asked me what I wanted him to do about it, then told me he wasn't going to do anything. The staff is wildly unprofessional from the top down. I do not feel safe there and will not be going back. read more

Pilates is proof that you can reverse the aging process to some degree. Not only has Pilates helped me attain improved posture, balance, and core strength, but going to classes regularly has really improved my overall wellbeing. It is also a perfect foundation for my other activities, such as running, bicycling, and strength training. I've been a client at Harmony Pilates' Manoa Marketplace location for more than two years and am very pleased with the instructors, cleanliness of the studio, convenience, special promotions, and fees. I usually attend the equipment (reformer) classes, and find them to be just the right amount of challenge. In fact, I often break a sweat and feel very energized after class. Each instructor is certified and has his or her own style of teaching. Most of the time the workouts vary, which means they're never boring or routine. We work every part of the body and focus on breathing and form. Pilates is such a game changer. It has helped me become more aware of body mechanics, alignment, and imbalances that can be resolved with consistent, proper training. I can honestly say, even if I have been active for most of my adult life, Pilates has been the best decision in maintaining fitness and building strength that I've made. There's ample, free parking, and the studio is open seven days a week with class times for people with busy lives or those who have a lot of time to spare. Going to stop right here, I have a Pilates class to get to! read more

This is a top notch pilates reformer studio and physical therapy clinic. I've been for PT in 2019 with Karen, who is knowledgeable and tailored physical therapy around the other activities I already did. I really love Lāhela and Maggie for therapeutic pilates and pilates equipment on the reformer. Lāhela also has knowledge of PT and massage and has been teaching pilates for 14 years; Maggie has been teaching for 10. I recommend both highly. This studio requires masks post-Covid-19 as of May 2021. Previously, pre-Covid, I had classes with Laura (who now lives in Oklahoma) and Sam, who were also excellent and experienced teachers. read more

I've been going to Harmony Pilates and Physical Therapy consistently for the past couple of weeks. They have an amazing Groupon special and if you haven't tried pilates you should really check this place out. They have six Pilates reformer machines and you can sign up for the classes online. My sister and I preferred the weekend classes and those classes fill up really quick. The first couple of times we weren't able to get in. It was a little disappointing at first but then we found out that we need to reserve it earlier than just the day before. We've been to about four classes so far and they all are great. Pilates works all kinds of muscles you never even knew you had. Classes are an hour long and it seriously works all parts of your body. It does you legs, core, and then your arms. My body really is very inflexible and tight all the time and Pilates really helps to stretch it out. Sometimes I have sore arches and the workout helps to relieve the pain. I'm a little sad because my Groupon is about to expire. Hope I'll be able to continue in the future because I think it'll be really good for my body in the long term. read more

A few big changes over the past year. It seems a change in ownership has made some large staff changes. I joined a year ago and was drinking the cool aide. Still some great instructors, but who ever bought this place... Well I found a new place. Love the people here but absent new owners conduct from above. read more

To begin with I'd like to say that I'm an active person who mostly spends her time outdoors as a way to stay in shape and enjoy this beautiful island we live on. Occasionally I implement some yoga and other activities as a cross training. I've taken a few Pilates classes here and there, but it's been years since I practiced on reformers. This week I decided to take a Pilates class and see if I like it enough to commit to it and buy a class pack. Unfortunately after visiting this studio and taken a late morning class, I won't be coming back. Here's a few things that went great: -easy free parking at Manoa marketplace -online sign-up and prepay for class However so many things were just confusing for me and I left feeling out of place as a beginner. Such things are: - no guest/first time practitioner greeting or even a tour of the studio. Fill out your release form and you're good to go. Receptionist was busy trying to solve other person's issues and seem to show no interest in helping me get situated for a class i.e I didn't know I needed pair of socks until instructor asked me. Thankfully I've had a pair in my bag. - instructor won't come up to you to help you with reformer if you're struggling, even after you say that. I'm not sure if that's a Covid protocol or just inattentive instructor who was busy with her own practice vs. helping out a beginner. The class is small though only 4 people allowed why not give at least a thorough verbal instructions regarding unfamiliar equipment or just to adjust for you ‍ - I wish there was more core work and moved done on the reformer, that's what I'm here for. The class felt more yoga like with lots of stretches which I can do at home and no need to pay for class with an equipment. - after I prepaid there was no follow up email to tell you how to prepare for class: what to wear as far as dress code and new Covid protocol which felt very disorganized and unprofessional considering they charge a lot for their classes. - there's no formal check in area, so people who arrive for PT and Pilates classes take place at the same room. I believe it interrupts the flow of the class and very distracting in general. I love supporting small local businesses, but not when their service is clearly subpar and leaves you feeling disappointed. I hope my constructive feedback can create some changes for this business located in such beautiful area. read more

Samantha is a great and attentive instructor. She provided great adjustments and her class sequences are also great. I have only been to the manoa location but I'm sure Kailua is just as great read more

Great workout, clean environment, friendly staff, plenty of parking=it's a win win situation. I had never done Pilates before. I have now been twice and I really enjoy it. I am not as good as every one else, but the instructor has been very patient with me and doesn't make me feel uncomfortable. The class size is small, which for me being a beginner,Gets no complaints from me! The small class size allows the instructor to pay attention to everyone. There are people of all ages and all sizes that attend the classes. I am active and try to stay in shape. But I am horrible at stretching. Once I'm done working out, I'm just done and continue with the rest of my day. Pilates has definitely stretched those muscles that I have been ignoring. I see myself continuing to attend more Pilates classes. read more

My 19 yo daughter and I (58 yo) enjoy these classes together! They have excellent instructors, equipment and classes. I feel stronger after two classes! Really good customer service. read more

I started taking classes here on Sunday's because 1. I'm tired of this "baby weight" (3yrs past due lol) and 2. I wanted something that was impactful so that I didn't have to go to the gym 5x a week. I read up on Pilates and having taken yoga and other forms of mat Pilates courses in the past - I figured that learning how to use the reformer machine would be the best route because it would be a little better on my back and body. They offer basic equipment classes at both the Kailua and Aina Haina locations but since this is closer, I ended up here! I really enjoy the flow of the class and you pretty much take the intensity of the work out at your own discretion. My favorite thing about this class is that it really does work out all your bad parts, at one time!! I have to incorporate some cardio during the week because that's the only thing this class is missing. I'm glad I started coming and Lahela is really nice as well. I look forward to becoming a regular :) (It's a bit pricey but worth it.) read more

Harmony Pilates & Physical Therapy - My favorite way to spend a Sunday. - Physical Therapy Near Me - Honolulu, Hawaii

I had an excellent exercise experience here. I've done reformer pilates once before and the machines are not as menacing as they look. The actual workout was exactly at the pace I needed and there were only a few times that I thought, "i can't do this" but somehow powered through it. My instructor was really in tune to our what we could do and adjusted accordingly. Parking is ample and location convenient. I got a groupon for three classes and wish I had gotten more. It's a little pricey compared to other forms of exercise but on par with other area pilates studios. The following day you really feel the burn and it's a great feeling! Highly recommend trying out this place! read more

I am glad that I tried this place. The first time I had no idea what I was doing since it was my first pilates class. But the instructor Samanth was so helpful! Even though it was hard for me, I feel better after it. I have just finished 5 class. And I decided keep going to this place after vacation Thanks for making me wanna work out haha read more

My husband and I have been wanting to try an exercise plan that we can both do together and something that won't hurt our knees too much and something that will help with my split recti. After checking out several pilates places we found Harmony and decided to forego the groupon deal and just try a duet private session and that's where we met Mikum. We are just so totally impressed with her that my husband and I just totally look forward to a class with her. She is very knowledgeable and always shares useful health tips. Her classes are always fun yet focused. Mikum's class is for somebody who wants to see results. Try her out and you will know what I am talking about. My husband and I wish that she's stay inthe island forever! read more

I've been going to Harmony for a few months for physical therapy. Karen, the PT is always so kind and friendly and has really worked hard to understand and address a couple of difficult issues I've had. What was really amazing though was when Winona, the receptionist, messed up scheduling a couple of my appointments. It was an inconvenience, but I've missed a couple of appointments by mistake and they have always been nice about it so I wasn't too upset about the mistake. But on my last appointment, Winona brought me some chocolate and a Starbucks gift card to make up for the mistake! Amazing - I can't remember the last time I had that kind of customer service! They are just the people I want to see when I'm not feeling my best. They truly have a wonderful staff. read more

Great studio with clean environment, great instructors and easy parking. Perfect for this beginner.

This studio provides an intimate class setting that I love. I've heard great things about the other teachers, but I Sheila's barre/mat work class is my fave. I felt a connection with my abs after the first class and I'm totally hooked! read more

I was referred to them by my doctor for PT and they were great. Fixed my problem in 4 sessions plus taught me the correct exercises to strengthen my core plus Pilates which is an excellent exercise. They are very professional while being extremely caring. I highly recommend them for PT and/or Pilates. I went to their place in Aina Hina shopping center. read more

I'm disappointed with how Samantha has communicated with me about her non-transferable, no-refund policy. Instead of a phone call back, which is how I was asking to be responded to, I received an email with her re-instating her policy and feeling like I was being judged. I got a nerve and vein injury and unfortunately, it's very challenging and painful to do most physical tasks. This is a new, scary experience for me and I feel at a loss. I feel even more at a loss that Samantha will not return my money for services unused. Yes, she did say that in the future that I can use my unused credit, but I do not know when I will be healed from this damage, and after learning about her rigid policy, I do not want to receive their service and would never recommend their studio. Also, it's challenging to speak with one of their staff on the phone as they don't always have someone available, so I've been playing phone tag. I one day soon hope we can live in a world, where we can recognize and respect when someone wants to pull out of a commitment and not control them or their money by saying that there's no other way than their way. I'm very disappointed all around. read more
