The Work: The atmosphere is relaxing and peaceful, and She did a great job. I was happy with the range of pressures she applied and actually suprised at how strong she was to get deep to my hip/buttox and shoulders as I am a fairly meaty individual. I got a flyer at a local shop and the "$20 off your first massage!" caught my attention. Shannon Reagan charges as follows (from her flyer): 60 min for $60 (now $40) 90 min for $85 (now $65) 120 min for $105 (now $85) Includes option of complimentary hot stones. Shannon is a very nice lady, very graceful and kind. I felt very comfortable with her. Her room was clean, lightly scented, and the music was on low. She uses a eucalyptus lotion. I prefer a stronger massage as I enjoy deep tissue massages, hers felt a bit more like a relaxation. Also, she didn't massage my chest and stomach (but probably would if I had thought to ask and not just assume everyone did). She also does pre-natal. I recommend you give her a try if you are looking for a massage and want to try different places before you find the right masseuse for you. read more

I've been on a bit of a Yelp hiatus lately, but Shannon is worth Yelping about! I've never had a more caring, knowledgeable and capable massage therapist...ever. Oh Shannon. I'm quite sad you are closed on Mondays. I mean, it would have been perfect (for my schedule) if you had been open. Because you see, I just ran a half marathon on Sunday, and would have loved a massage 24 hours after the race, but alas, Tuesday would have to do. And there was no disappointment when Tuesday came! Shannon is gentle in demeanor, both knowledgeable and nurturing in her approach-- and strong enough to work out any stubborn muscle-knots you might have. She communicates well and adjusts her level of pressure to suit your preference. And basically, she is just a lovely person. I would love to make this a capital-letters, multiple-exclamation-point review-- but I just came back from a massage and am way too relaxed to lean on the shift key. It really has been quite a long time since my last massage from a professional masseuse. Shannon is as professional as they get. I never felt that there was an up-sell, or any sell at all for anything "extra". I found it very easy to talk to her of my goals, what is bothering me, and what pressure is good. This is a good point to say, that her massages are a little intense, but they're so wonderfully relaxing! She also does assert that it is "your hour", so if it's something isn't working out, just let her know. I tend to carry the weight of the world on my shoulders like atlas, and she smoothed out the terrible knot between my shoulders. I walk around as if I don't have a care in the world... I just had my first massage by Shannon this morning. I saw her reviews on Yelp and checked out her website. I was impressed by not only her reviews but her background so I decided to send her an e-mail to check her availability. I was surprised that she was willing to book me on Christmas Eve as I am sure most people would like to take this time off. When I arrived she was very welcoming and offered tea or water. We went over my form and I felt she understood what areas I was most interested in her working on. The massage ended up being excellent and deep just as I had hoped. Like someone already mentioned, the music she plays is awesome. Different from the "waves" that the standard masseur plays and much better. Her space is clean and next door to a See's Candy store. Shannon is wonderful! I've had chronic hip (it's really buttock) pain for 5 years. I've been in physical therapy for a year with minimal results. A few sessions with Shannon and I feel like a new woman! These are not relaxing, long-stroke massages (although I'm sure she is great at that too). This is body work. She has a sixth sense and finds the little pockets of tightness and digs in until they release. I appreciate the time she takes before and after a massage to talk about exactly what you want to get out the massage as well as tips for stretches and/or self-massaging techniques (tennis ball) to do at home. I had heard great things about Shannon, and I can see why. The studio is cute and inviting, warm and relaxing. I receive massage from Shannon on a regular basis. She is fantastic! Shannon always checks in with me before the massage to see how I am feeling that day. She then tailors the massage to fit those needs. In my experience Shannon's strong point is deep tissue massage. She find's all my knots and works them out. I can strongly recommend Shannon. I like deep tissue and she can bring it. Deep tissue is hard work for a therapist and she is willing to work hard. A plus for me is that she had no problem with me directing parts of the massage, such as where to move to or the intensity of pressure. Some therapists get kind of bent out of shape if I do that, or if I use specific names of muscles because I know some anatomy (like I am moving into their territory). Not with Shannon; she is not threatened or turned off by it. She is positive, nice, and a very good young practitioner. I would go back and I will recommend her to friends. read more
