Bing su and honey bread
Sammy W.

This was my first time here as me and my bf were craving Korean bbq. The place aesthetically was very nice but the food was alright. We thought it was an ayce which was our fault but when the combo we got which was the bulgogi, pork belly, and galbi were brought out I was astonished by how little the portion was. Even the banchan side dishes were small we had less than a spoonful of everything. I don't think it was enough to even eat for one person but then again I was used to more all you can eat style. We ended up ordering another combo. We also got the corn cheese because I love corn and it was pretty greasy but I still ate it cause I love corn. The meat in my opinion was alright I could tell the bulgogi was not marinated and had not much flavor and the galbi was alright. I liked the pork belly but i usually don't because of how thick of a cut it is but this place it was more thin so idk if that's good or bad. The service was good always checking up on us but food was mid in my opinion. It would've been more worth it to go to an ayce and it would've been cheaper. Their dessert honey bread was really good and bing su was alright not the traditional bing su but meh. I think if you're looking for a quick Korean bbq alternative and don't mind spending a little more this place is perfect for you.

Steakhouse selections on the table grill

We were in town visiting family, and knowing we loved other Epiphany Farms restaurants, we wanted to try this spot. We went on a Saturday night with a party of 9. We had made a reservation, and it was set up and ready when we got there. Unfortunately they seemed to be way understaffed. Our server took a long time to come over, and when we put in our drink order, it took probably 10-15 minutes before our drinks came out and we could put in food. The shareables did come at a reasonable pace, but the rest of the food was really slow. They also ran out of rice, so everyone had their food and had eaten half of it before rice started coming out. It was hard ro get any new drinks or more water, as our server just seemed overwhelmed. On a positive note, the food was good. I had the modeum pajeon and shared several steakhouse selections with another person. The grill was fun. Some others in the group opted not to order grill items thinking it would be too much work, but it was quite simple. Overall I would try it again, hoping that the service was better. It's something unique for Bloomington, so I do hope they can up the service standards.

Midwest grill.

This was a wonderful meal and our server, Tom, made it extremely enjoyable. His hospitality, knowledge & graciousness elevated our dinner into an experience!

Meat after grilled

The quality of meat was great. The only reason they got a three star. If you ever ate Korean food before you will be disappointed. There was no Korean spice on anything. The Banchan was limited and not great. Each serving or banchqn was small portions. The menu was confusing, as we ordered the meat on the section we chose and they had to charge extra because was asked for the same meat twice. They did not say it would be extra, but we thought as long as we order within the section it was part of the price.

Soooo much FUN! So what's the deal? I've been to S. Korea and experienced BBQ there and Harmony is pretty darn authentic - right down to the 'no fork unless you ask for it', the spoon, the yummy Korean 'ketchup' and the scissors (you have to visit to see what the scissors are all about! ;) ). Korean BBQ is a grill at your table concept. You can DIY the grilling, or your server will do it for you. The whole table shares the grilled goodness and uses lettuce leaves/nori, sauces, rice and bottomless banchan (little bowls of tasty nibbles) to make little wraps. To me, this is the Korean take on tacos but more FUN! Tables at Harmony either have built-in grills or portables for outdoor tables. Over each built in grill is a neato vent hood that gets pulled down and handily deals with any smoke. It's not 100% foolproof though so you might want to wear washables. I did detect a SLIGHT food odor on my clothes afterward. As of this review, The Experience is the only menu offered ($38/adult; $16/under 12) with a few add ons for additional cost such as Kimchi pizza and fried rice cake. Some people will say 'expensive' but I say it's WWWAAAAAYYY cheaper than going to Korea! The Experience includes 3 meats (pork belly, beef brisket, and marinated beef short rib), 6 or so refilled banchan, rice, a steamed egg dish and snow ice for dessert. Every combination of a wrap that I concocted was really good. Dessert is super unique as well. The snow ice consisted of, you guessed it, snow ice with vanilla beet ice cream and topped with little chewy mochi bits, sweet bean paste, fresh fruits and a strawberry rhubarb drizzle. They have several bottled Korean beers on the menu as well as various soju and sake and wine. The traditional way to drink beer in a Korean restaurant to order the large bottles (640 or 500ml) and share it drinking out of little juice glasses. Insider secret, Korean etiquette says don't refill your own beer from the big bottle - fill for others and they reciprocate when your glass gets low. Service was super friendly with multiple staff assisting a table. Korean BBQ is labor intensive for the servers - especially if you have them do the grilling. So tip them well! Finally, last but not least, Harmony will soon offer traditional karaoke rooms where your group can get silly and cap off your dinner with a few more drinks and fun! Gamsahabnida Harmony!!!!!!!!!

Friday night. Reservation at 7:45 pm for 3. Quite slow service, limited side dishes and refilled upon request. Meats are good quality. Sauces we're ok. Somewhat authentic Korean but my standards are high since I came from L.A and experience Korean bbq in Korean town prior and in Asia prior.

We headed to Harmony Korean BBQ to celebrate a birthday with extended family. We knowingly went in to the restaurant with the intent to do the dining 'experience' and estimated it would take us about 2 hours (which was about right). We selected the Harmony Combo featuring pork belly, beef bulgogi, and short ribs as our main meats. The experience combos come with unlimited sides and desert as well. One of the unique things about Harmony is you can enjoy having your meats literally grilled at the center of your table. Their quiet and efficient ventilation system does a great job of keeping any smoke or loud noises out of your environment. We enjoyed all the sides and will have to say the two types featuring beets (pickled and fermented) were a pleasant surprise and one of my favorites. We enjoyed all three of the meat options. Our server was great at helping us prepare the meats (one type at a time) and bringing us more sides and rice when desired. The meats all had great flavor and the portion sizes were ample for the number of people we had (5 total). For dessert we did two: Bing Su Shaved Fluffy Ice and the Honey Bread. We were split on which was the favorite of our group. The fluffy ice was light with great flavor and fruit. The honey bread reminded us of churros from a flavor standpoint. Harmony offers options other than the packaged experiences and offering other proteins. It is great to have a place in Bloomington-Normal that breaks through the typical fare. I look forward to trying a dinner off the menu and am also intrigued by their Karaoke bar. Sounds like that could make for an interesting night!

BIBIMBAB

Food and Service was great! Nice Ambiance. I will return. I ordered BIBIMBAB and beef short ribs.

Highly recommend! One of our go to special occasion spots. Definitely a must try. We make the drive from Peoria to Bloomington and it's well worth the trip. The ribs and beef bulgogi are must haves. The service is attentive and the ownership is awesome.

Gangnam style with pork belly
Mapu P.

Uhmmmm best value meal I've had so far. I'm so fulfilled with the Gangnam style combo with a portion of pork belly. The bingsu was interesting, it was apple cider with homemade vanilla ice cream . Everything was bomb. I went for lunch and the service was extremely good. Definitely coming back when I'm in town again!!

The menu was several pages but only one page with food, drinks were the remainder. We got the dipper appetizer and I had the Sassy Chicken Thighs. Both were good and the thigh was boneless. My wife had the loaded potato salad, asparagus, and broccoli which she enjoyed. My son had the Steak Sliders with the potato salad which he really enjoyed. I suppose when the chef can master a menu there's no need for multiple pages. I misjudged and would definitely come back if I'm in town again.

The Salty Caesar Flatbread was exceptional, romaine, herb chicken, bacon, tomatoes, mozzarella, and parmesan all piled on a flatbread, you just have to try it. The Shaved steak sliders were topped with a horseradish aioli and really didn't need the au jus but it was a nice addition. And leave room for dessert because the Blueberry Cobbler was also something that you have to try. Served perfectly warm with just a small scoop of ice cream. Kitchen was a little slow with some of the dishes but it was a great meal and a great experience.

We decided to go with the rustic pizzas that were delicious and unusual: harmony, Korean, chicken and loaded supreme. The crust tasted like it was from a woodfired oven and the Korean chicken pizza was so unusual and tasty with kimchi and pickled shiitake. The fresh from the forest mushroom side dish they gave us a special treat to us was quite a delicacy. Even the farm to table items they have for sale when you walk in to take home are a treat, Especially the homemade marshmallows! Ended with dessert of a fresh orange olive oil cake with just tremendous flavor and blood orange on the side and orange marmalade on the cake. It served exquisitely with a side of homemade ice cream that was to die for. We can't wait to come back! Our waitress, Lupe, treated us like family and was incredibly personal and warm. Put this on your must visit List.

The fish was fresh- including tuna, salmon, shrimp- placed over small celery bites. A variety of sauces were dotted around the plate's edge. The dish would have benefited from some ginger and more sauce. Our entrees included Pork Coppa Ramen- which was a solid dish- strong beef broth flavor and the sambal (chili sauce) -a few cents extra- added a good depth of flavor. The fish bowl- tuna, salmon- with rice, pickled veggies, and gim (Korean seaweed) was tasty. It was even tasty the next day cold out of the fridge. Our server Jack did a nice job- we sampled their roasted carrots- and they were actually our favorite bite. We also had the potato graten and they were tasty- but could have been easily skipped with our Asian dinner vibe. The restaurant has a great eclectic historical vibe and was busy on a Friday night, but still felt spacious. The drink menu is a good selection- we enjoyed wine with dinner (a solid Pinot noir). I would definitely go back to have the pizza- which looked delicious at a couple of the neighboring tables. This is a great date night venue or girls night out.

I may have gone into this with too high of expectations because of what I heard about the epiphany…read moregroup and that may have been unfair of me. But that being said there were a lot of GREAT things about this restaurant so I'll start there. The restaurant itself it's so moody and vibey I LOVED it, was such a good place for a date night, our waiter was so attentive, helped with all of our questions and a very patient with us as we worked through the menu. 10/10 service! We got the dumpling and pork bun appetizer and both were AMAZING, seriously the pork bun?? I could have eaten 1000 of them. Next was the sushi, I got the Atlantic hand roll and another member of the table got the rainbow roll, both were very fresh and flavorful, highly recommend. Next was the entree, I got the pork belly ramen, as a huge ramen fanatic I was SO excited, especially following up our appetizers, the bar was set high and unfortunately I was so disappointed. The broth was not very good and everything so extremely salty, I couldn't even eat the mushrooms in the bowl because they soaked up so much of the broth and it was like a salt bomb in my mouth. The pork belly was cooked well and I did really enjoy that, but for a $20 bowl of ramen, it really fell flat for me. I also got the sweet heat cocktail, and it also wasn't for me, cocktails are so personal so it's not that I wouldn't recommend someone try it, it's just that I didn't hit for me, and that was the general consensus of the table. While I had a great night, I would probably try a different restaurant for Asian food before I came back to this one!
