Just past the faded remnants of a 4H center on route 1 (Cabrillo Hwy), between Cayucos and Cambria, lies Harmony Valley Road. Jog up the freshly paved macadam hill to the right and through the wrought iron gates and you will discover the most wonderful winery and tasting room. I cycled up after a good sprint from Cayucos and parked in the small bike rack out front. Its larger than expected within and there is a lovely patio area among the gardens surrounding the structure for picnics or to just enjoy the lovely Central Coast sunsets. Within the wonderful tasting room are two beautiful and absolutely wonderful hostesses: Brook and Laurel. Honestly, you have to give this wonderful hidden gem among so many in the Paso Robles region five stars just for the welcoming simpatico feeling they impart to every single guest! I was offered a bottle of water since Brooke noticed that I was on a cycling quest. I was invited to try the whites and they were amazing. Some of the grapes come from Paso Robles and environs and some from the Monterey area. I first tried the 2009 Diamond Reserve Pinot Gris. It was my favorite. They also had a nice 2009 Chardonnay and an interesting blend called Harmonie. Plus a white reisling. All were very good. I then proceeded to try their excellent Cab, Diamond Reserve Aria (a Bordeux style blend), the Petit Syrah. They weren't tasting out the Malbec and would have very much enjoyed trying that. They offer various snacks including cheese to go with the wines. They have a large shop full of the various wine bar sundries. What I found the most interesting were the plethora of events featuring food and wine. They have a Friday twilight even with live music that runs from June 24th to August 26th. They are having a Central Coast Clam Bake on September 3rd. While I was there quite a number of tourists here for the 4th of July weekend were flocking in to this gem hidden in the green Harmony Headlands hills. I enjoyed chatting with the wonderful hostesses until well after closing and then cycled back to Cayucos in the blissful state that can only come from enjoying good wine and great company. read more

Harmony Cellars is always one of the wineries I stop at when I'm enjoying a weekend getaway in Cambria. I'm not too fond of the reds they offer, which is why I'm giving them a four star review. But, when you stop by this little gem, you must try their Riesling! It is definitely worth the price. I usually pick up a few bottles when I'm there. This last time I decided to join their wine club for a better price. The one thing I love most about Harmony Cellars is the views from the outdoor sitting area. There isn't much of a town to see, but overlooking the rollings hills with a glass of wine is relaxing. Nice place to have a little picnic. read more

Great wines. There reds are amazing and they have great whites too. The standard wines are very inexpensive for the quality (under $20) but they have Reserve wines that hit high $30's that are amazing and the older vintages ($50 is the most I've seen) have never let me down. I put that they are kid friendly because, well, they are. They have chalk so the older kids can go out and color on the large beautiful patio area. My kids never minded stopping in. read more

Came for a wine tasting this morning with a group of 9 women ready to spend big $$. Walked up to the podium and before we could even ask for seating we we told by the very rude man that we couldn't stay. There were too many of us and they're full. We thought he was joking. He was rude and said this is not a joke. Needless to say we left which was too bad as we wanted to buy 9 cases of wine. We'll never go back and won't be recommending to anyone else. read more

Cool spot to stop in and have a few sips of wine. On our recent visit, I was the designated driver, so I sat outside and enjoyed the view of Harmony and the cow pasture below the winery (yes, the winery is situated on a hillside, not hovering overhead like a winery-spaceship.) We decided to stop here as we were heading on our way back from Hearst Castle. We arrived on a Monday afternoon around 2pm. I won't lie, I was attracted by the adorable name and good reviews. Their property is very cute and you are able to picnic outside with wine, cheese, tapenade (much of which you can purchase inside). For their tasting, you try six of the wines from their list for $5. Like usual I split the tasting with my mom and here the one we tried: 2009 Chardonnay Harmonie (Tank-fermented Chardonnay, Riesling, and Muscat) 2010 White Riesling* 2008 Diamond Reserve Pinot Noir 2009 Zinfandel 2008 Diamond Reserve Petite Syrah *Preferred from the list Overall, nothing really stood out to us. Customer service was okay, they didn't seem as excited or enthusiastic as many of the other places I tried. They really didn't tell us much about the wine or their winery. I felt like if they didn't think you were going to purchase a wine they didn't really care about you. This could have just been my experience. read more

My boyfriend and I stopped here on our way up to Big Sur for a Sunday drive last weekend. This was my first experience here, and overall, I was pleased. It was quite crowded, but the tasting room attendants did a pretty good job of serving us. The only thing that was lacking, was any sort of explanation about the wines we were tasting. (Yes, I can read the winemaker's notes on the piece of paper in front of me, but I'd much rather hear about them.) I'm not sure if this was just because of the fact that they were busy, or if they don't do much talking about their wines/the winery in general. Their whites were good, in my opinion. We ended up buying two bottles: their 2009 Chardonnay and their 2010 Reisling. Their red wines were just okay...nothing that really stood out to my palate. The prices are very reasonable and the property itself is pretty. I will definitely be going back on occasion. read more

On our way out of Cambria we decided to make a quick stop to check out Harmony Cellars. After being turned away several times over the weekend for having a baby in a stroller with us we were so happy to be welcomed by the friendly staff and able to have a great wine tasting. We especially enjoyed the reds, with the 2015 Reserve Aria being our favorite. The outdoor patio had plenty of seating and gorgeous views of the hillside. The only downside was there was only one restroom and it was quite busy so there was a long line. read more

I was staying in Cambria for the weekend for a Paso trip and on the tail end of our tour we decided to stop by this little town for wine tasting. Don't let them trick you, it might be a little town, but the grounds and structure for this winery makes it feel like a "big" town. The wines were okay. We did leave with a bottle of barbera, but our wine pourer was pretty awful. He was wearing shorts and a t-shirt (not that I judge by that), but he said maybe all but two words to us. I find that the interactions with a pourer sometimes make it or break it for me. The wine wasn't bad, it was a great deal, I just would have liked to have a little more talking about the wine- which is why I got to taste in the first place. read more

A great little place to taste wine. What's cool is that Harmony has a population of about 10 or so. We tasted wines there on 4-09-2014. Blink and you will miss it as the stated population is 18, and the town has a very interesting history. Taste six wines for $5 or $7 if you want to keep the glass. There are over a dozen wines to choose from. We know that everybody likes something different when it comes to wines, so it was great to be able to pick your own flight. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The gift shop has many interesting items. And the view is very good from the winery. read more

We just love Harmony Cellars. They are a small boutique winery located in the quaint and picturesque community of Harmony, CA (population: 18). The winery is located at the top of a hill directly off the main highway--impossible to miss. I especially like their Resiling which is crisp, light and has a delicious flavor. For those who like a drier wine, they have wonderful Sauvignons,Chardonnays and wonderfully robust reds. Added to this is a very well stocked gift store with all sorts of unique items for sale. If you become a member of the winery, you will be treated to special dinners, tastings, discounts and evenings on the patio where you will be enthralled by the pastoral view and peacefulness of the setting. Don't miss the lovely little town on Harmony either. Directly down the hill and to the right, you will find many cute little shops and a lovely little restaurant where you can get light, homemade food. Dine on the lovely patio amid a rural setting. Our visits to Harmony are always fun and soul satisfying, appealing to all of the senses in a region of California that is exceptional. read more

Thanks to yelp for a great find! This was our first stop on our trip to Morro Bay. The staff was friendly, and the wine was great! We bought a bottle of Reisling and Cab. I am sad that we have finished both already......should have bought more! ugh! The Reisling went great with our seafood dinner that night, and we had the cab with some steak once we got home. Although they didn't comp the tastings for a 4 bottle wine purchase, they did give a 5% discount. The grounds are lovely with a gazebo & tables to sit at while sipping your wine & the staff is knowledgable as well as interesting to chat with. Definitely a place worth stopping by & they're "Twilight" special in the summer seems well worth the trip. A new fav for me! read more
