Every person that I met was very friendly and was always introduced to each of the team involved in my care. I do not have dental insurance, but their prices are affordable and definitely cheaper than most dental offices in the area. They accept most dental insurance if you plan to use your dental insurance. I ended up choosing their dental plan which was within my price range that fits my needs. I highly recommend Advanced Dental Care and Aesthetics to anyone who wants to be treated with respect and receive real customer service. The entire staff are outstanding and amazing! Also, I was being treated with invisalign but for some reason the dentist decided to make a physical mold for my braces so I would have had to come back in for them to scan me for a new retainer simply because they did it that way. I was due for a cleaning followed by a crown appointment. I was in for a consultation about a month ago which they did not even complete because they told me the hygienist was too busy. So I had X-rays, saw the Dr. and scheduled a cleaning and one crown for a chipped tooth. When I arrived, two workers at the front desk were talking to each other about how they were not even sure what sort of care I should be receiving for my cleaning. That there was nothing in the notes. They were talking openly about it - and I could hear everything - including using my name. They weren't even sure what they were going to do. A third worker approaches and begins talking about blood pressure and that they will take it three times, etc. Again, all within my ear shot and but never speaking directly to me about any of it. Having severe white coat syndrome (which I alerted them to at my consultation), I typically have issues with high BP until the cleaning gets underway. I warned them it would be high and that I monitor at home and with my Primary Dr. They continued to leave me alone in the room coming back only to repeat my BP (which continued to rise and rise with the anxiety) until they told me they would not treat me for anything. Not even the cleaning. My BP was high - I told them it would be elevated and that I monitor at home and with my Dr. When I returned home, it was within a normal range within 15 minutes. It felt off right from the start with them discussing my lack of a plan for care in front of me from behind the desk.

Ok, from the moment I make dentist appointments - I'm nervous as all get out. Years and years of…read morebad dental experience have left me skeptical. That was so NOT the case at Westshore Family & Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Marotta and his staff are amazing. From the moment I was introduced to everyone I knew this would be my dental office from here on out. The walls are painted a warm shade of yellow, the exam rooms are decked out with wood floor and beautiful large windows (and windows with a view at that!). My particular window had a cute little bird feeder outside (see pictures) that was just a beautiful sight with the shrubbery and snow softly falling - this was not like any dental experience I'd had before. I didn't feel trapped, no part of the office gave the "clinical" feel you get when you visit those sterile doctors or dentists offices with all the white paint and lineoleum floors - you won't find any of that here. I was pleased to find out that Dr. Marotta had a hand in a lot of selections, a little over 7 years ago he had the building designed and wanted to ensure patients felt the space was warm and inviting. It is obvious that at WFCD the patient experience is of utmost concern. Per the website, WFCD specializes in sedation dentistry or relaxation dentistry, which is a "method of managing pain and anxiety during professional dental care through the use of medication." How fabulous and refreshing, a practice that recognizes and actually cares about the fact that dental procedures are terribly anxiety inducing for some patients. After my teeth cleaning with the hygentist, Heather, I had some x-rays taken (typical of your first visit) and awaited Dr. Marotta to come give my teeth a quick look. Dr. Marotta was great, he was very approachable, great personality, not pushy, not scary, his demeanor was very kind, and he took time to answer all of my questions and related suggestions for future dental work in a very understandable and non-pushy way. I really can't stress how at ease the whole staff at WFCD made me feel. I would actually venture to say I ENJOYED my visit to the dentist! I also love that they sell Phillips Sonicare toothbrushes and brush heads. That toothbrush is by far one of my best purchases ever. Highly recommended. During my consultation I also inquiried about Invisalign - which is not presently offered at WFCD; however, I was offered a referral to a highly recommended orthodontist in the area.
