I have used their services for serveral years and could not be happier with them. They have repaired several kitchen appliances and have always been on time. All of their service personnel have been great. Their prices have always been reasonable and have always tried to provide only the very necessary parts. read more

This company offers a very short warranty because their service is not reliable and they do not offer quality work. $650 worth of repairs on a fridge and a promise that it would last for the life of this only 2 year old fridge, after only 2.5 months it no longer cools and is useless. I have called and asked for a call back but nothing. They also put a large dent in the center of my front door on this stainless steal fridge. they offered no ownership for the dent and left me with no option, spent another $500 buying a replacement door. This is the last place I would take an appliance. read more

Update: The repair didn't quite work. The dryer heats now, but it cuts out in the middle of a normal (automatic) cycle. When the diagnostic tech came out the first time, he banged on the solenoids, and that got them partially working. But the repair Hargo did didn't change that. So they didn't diagnose the problem properly. What really irks me is that they want to charge another $90 to send someone out to do another diagnostic. Old review: Hargo just got done fixing my dryer, and it seems to be in perfect working order now. They also gave me some good advice on getting a better exterior vent. The total turn-around time for me was about a week. I gave them the exact model of my dryer, but the diagnostic guy who showed up a few days ago didn't come prepared with any parts, so I had to wait a few more days, and they were only quick on the second visit because I called just after they'd had a cancelation. But that was really lucky. It seems that Hargo is one of the few appliance repair places in town, so they're absolutely slammed with everyone's repairs. Even just calling them on the phone, I get put on hold for extended periods every time, so the phones are ringing off the hook. I talked to their tech about that, and my take-away is that they're actively trying to hire both techs and customer service reps, but there just isn't enough available workforce. And their employees have to work over time to barely keep up with the demand. They charge $109 just to come out and diagnose the problem, and I can see why. I would not want to send a tech out for a potentially lengthy diagnostic, for free, when they could be making revenue on a real repair job. Overall, their total charge for the repair wasn't bad, considering how labor has dominated repair costs since the 1970's. Bottom line: They'll do a good job, but manage your expectations on the time. It's going to take a while for your repair to get done, because there are heck of a lot of other people in the queue ahead of you. read more

Opened a claim for repair. No one ever showed up. This is a company that does repair though Lowes. read more

Hargo charged us $199.99 plus tax for a service call to work on our Wolf range hood which stopped functioning. The technician was not able to access the components due to the way the chimney was installed. He therefore was not able to diagnose the problem, but still charged us $200 plus tax. He told us that if he could access the components on a future visit, there would be no charge for his return service call. The technician was pleasant, but seemed to have limited knowledge about Wolf hoods, and did not contact Wolf technical services, which could have been helpful. Later, Jolene K called, and introduced herself as the "CEO of Hargo". When I looked her up, I found that her official title is actually "manager/customer response contact". She told me that if the technician came back, there would be a charge for his visit (minimum of $90), despite him telling me that there would be no charge. She also said his work would not be warranteed, and strongly discouraged me from having him come back, calling the whole thing a "sticky situation". She advised purchasing a new range hood. I told her a replacement hood would cost over $4000 with installation. She again strongly advised against having the technician come back out, and was unpleasant to the point that I thought she was going to say "we refuse to come back to work on your range hood". Very disappointing and unprofessional. Needless to say, I will never use Hargo again. read more

The problem was never resolved. New washing machine, had problems with draining. I had to change the cycle to manual drain and spin, then continue wash cycle. Service techs came out 3 times. Replaced a part on the back of machine on first service. Came back for second call, told me, low water pressure. We disconnected it, and moved it to garage. I purchased another different machine. Third service he said same thing, low water pressure. I had extended warranty, and tried to get it returned. Nope. After awhile, we started having well problems. The result of the water problem was that the screens on the intake hoses were plugged. Now we have this expensive ($688) machine that I can't sell. I would ha e thought the appliance center would offer to buy it from me, since it was the result of their service. Nope. I am very dissatisfied. read more

BEWARE! I just bought a brand new washer on January 2nd 2026 and purchased an extended warranty. Last week I put in a load of laundry and the machine started smoking! SMOKING! I called LOWES and they said it was under warranty by the manufacturer. So, they sent Hargo from Binghamton, and the repair guy told me today that if they look at it and it is not covered by the warranty I have to pay out of pocket!!! What the heck? It's 2 weeks old! They say it's just something they have to say, sure until they open up the washer and you're stuck. Thats why I bought the extended warranty! read more

Punctual and courteous. Fixed our gas oven for a reasonable cost. Would definately use them again.

Would not recommend. Very unhappy with repair that took three visits and charged for two service calls blaming our "wiring".

Worst customer service ever! Just look online for a while and you will find plenty of complaints about them selling faulty parts even though they claim it rarely happens. I have been doing maintenance for over 15 years. I know a bad part when I test it. They sell broken parts then blame the customer and keep the money. Do yourself a favor and call someone else! read more

this company is horribl. took more than a month to get service fir my 8 month old Whirlpool washer. Hargo is the only service company in the Southern Tier that is contracted with Whirlpool. when they finally arrived and the technician began his evaluation which took him 45 minute he said he had to reset the computer to factory settings and left. a month later I received a bill from Hargo for 108.00. I was in the process of moving within a week of the repair delaying in receipt of bill. I called company and the rude person I spoke to said. There was nothing wrong with your washer do you have to pay us 108.00. "if it is not paid we will never repair the appliance under warranty". I purchased from Lowe's and paid for a 5 year extended warranty which will start after the first year (which I am in. they said I need to contact Whirlpool directly which I did. Whirlpool reached out to Hargo and the customer service person said she will not adjust the code that was submitted so I am liable to pay them. I absolutely do not recommend this company. read more

Chris was professional, on time and indetified the problem with my dish washer. A small mouse did some damage. Later the machine would not fill, Jeremy came out and pointed out that just pulling the power plug does not reset the machine. He pointed out how to acually reset this dish washer. The work was done corretly at a very fair price, and did not charge a fee for the return call a few weeks later. Outstanding service, Very happy. Honest and reliable ! Regards, Dave Most read more
