We were in a stressful situation, we were in town from across the state (with our 3-week old baby), to manage our rental house as the tenant had just moved out. As luck would have it, the tenant had three cats who destroyed the carpets that had to be completely ripped out. We had very little time in town, a tight budget, and little knowledge on durability of flooring materials. He gave us a ton of information on durability and lifespan of different flooring types, along with honest pricing recommendation. Great workmanship, Daryl really knows what he is doing when it comes to hardwood flooring. We had our refrigerator go out and our hardwood floors got warped. Daryl came out and gave us a free estimate. He emailed us the estimate and got us scheduled promptly once we accepted it. He started the day he said he would, finished the work in the time frame promised and the results were AMAZING. Everyone always said our home looked beautiful but the floors have totally transformed it. I can hardly believe that it is the same floors. Daryl and his team did a great job installing our new engineered floor in our basement. We were in the midst of finishing our basement and after deciding not to take on the large job myself, I asked if Daryl could come take a look. Daryl was out to see the job the same day, gave a fair price and coincidentally could take the job on that same week. I had concerns about the floor being level and the numerous angles involved, but Daryl explained how he would handle all those challenges and did so with expertise. Most notably he expertly created a framed threshold between the stair landing and an unfinished utility room, really gave the landing a great look. I was really impressed by how clean everything was kept during the process. I would definitely recommend his service as after seeing all the work, tricks and equipment he used to complete the job, I would never envision trying to install a large hardwood job myself. I plan on using Daryl in the future to refinish my upstairs solid wood flooring. read more

Beautiful work on refinishing our original 1958 wood floors. We constantly get compliments from friends and family visiting our home.

While the floor repair, sanding and initial finish were very good, I cannot recommend this company, or even say I'm happy with the result. First, the intense odor of the finish lasted for well over a month, despite all doors and windows being opened all day, every day, for six weeks. It's been two months now, and the odor is still quite discernible when re-entering the house. I wonder if it permeated the wallboard and furniture. It's awful, and maybe unhealthy. Second, only the accidental meeting with the workman when the job was done gave us the information not to wear shoes on the floor, or replace mats, rugs, or furniture for two weeks. Not a word of that beforehand. Third, the finish, now two months in, scratches very easily, such as when moving a kitchen chair. Seems very soft and prone to cause much trouble in the future, probably another refinishing much sooner than anticipated. We also didn't appreciate the workman taking a pee near our outbuilding one day while we were gone. And if you use this company, if you are at all sensitive to the reek of after shave or cologne, don't meet personally with the owner. read more
