We wanted the floor to be installed within 2 weeks so we have less downtime to use the court. Paul insisted to climatize the floor then install otherwise it would be junk flooring. He would rather not to do the big job than ruin his quality reputation. He came to our court at least 4 times for this job to measure. He is knowledgable and professional. At the end he returned our deposit. We will come back when we are ready to do the job. We would definitely use him next time.

Well that certainly DID NOT OCCUR! Not only did they not show up for the scheduled appointment, but nobody even called to say they would be late. This however was over an hour after I left a message, asking if they still were coming. Talk about first impressions!

Before, the staircase was worn and chipping. Sadly, there were even a few treads that had been chewed by our puppy. They were in really rough shape. We recently purchased a nearly hundred-year-old home whose original hardwood floors were badly…read morewater stained after years of being covered by carpet. Shanks responded quickly to my quote request and was even recommended to me by another company. We had to postpone our job by a few days after booking, but Jon was totally flexible and accommodating. He put in some extra hours each day to try to make up for the lost time, although it still ended up taking an extra couple of days past what we had originally planned. However, it was necessary due to the extent of the work that had to be done, and I'm glad he took the time to do it right. Shanks did an amazing job on our floors. They look brand new and the espresso stain is gorgeous. One entire corner of the living room had to be replaced due to extensive water damage, and now it blends in seamlessly with the rest of the floor. One of our other contractors, who saw the floors both before and after the refinishing, was highly impressed with the result, and so are we! The price was a little bit above the original quoted estimate (and I knew it would be because the original quote didn't include repair time), but it was still well within what I expected to pay based on online estimates I'd looked up. I believe it was very fair considering the extent of the repairs that had to be done and the quality of the finished work. It was an investment, but it was well worth it. I highly recommend this company and I love love LOVE my new floors!

We never visited the company's store location, as the Jamie, the owner, agreed to travel to our property to discuss the project and execute the agreement. After deciding to cancel the project, we submitted our cancellation request 21 days later, and the company acknowledged receipt of our cancellation dated June 25, 2026. Since that time, we have repeatedly requested updates regarding our refund and the status of our cancellation. Despite our continued efforts to communicate, we have not received a clear timeline or meaningful updates. The ongoing delays and lack of communication have been extremely frustrating and have caused unnecessary emotional stress. Jaime still has still to date not provided any documentation showing that a door or any other materials were purchased on our behalf, despite our many requests. We are deeply disappointed by the company's lack of communication, failure to complete any work, and poor customer service. I would steer clear from anyone wanting to do business with Jaime and his, so called business. Lastly, he will dispute that there is a policy in his agreement and indeed there is none. Here is how the agreement outlines: No provision stating that refunds take 60-90 days. In particular: Page 1 covers: Scope of Work Time/Substantial Completion Payments Change Orders Delays Punch List Warranty There is no refund timeline in these sections. Page 2 covers: Warranty details Dispute resolution (mediation/arbitration) Risk of Loss Assignment Page 3 is the Washington State contractor disclosure statement. It discusses: Contractor registration Bond information Liens Lien releases It also does not mention any refund policy or refund processing timeframe. One thing to check

I'm not a reviewer. I generally think if you provide me a service and I pay for that service then…read morewe're good. But sometimes there's something extra provided that needs some fanfare. So this is my story, in the fall of '23 I moved from North Carolina to Spokane. I purchased a twenty year old house that still had the original paint on the walls. And senior citizens had lived in it all that time, so it kinda looked like it was from the 80s. Being the HGTV fan that I am, I needed a handyman and a paint brush. So I went to the internet. I found Burgan Home Services, Brandon asked questions about what I needed and suggested Jake would be a good fit for my needs. Over the next six months, Jake renovated the second kitchen, moved walls and doors, ripped up 20 year old carpet and taught me how to install LVP. He was great. BTW, I only scheduled him a couple of days a week because I wanted to do some of the work myself. He could have gotten it done faster without me as his helper. I had saved the renovation of the 3 bathrooms for the last project. Brandon came over and wrote up an estimate and I had sticker shock. So I went back to the internet and found another contractor for a quote, and second guy was significantly lower (and more in line with east coast prices). So yeah, I signed a contract with the second contractor. Significantly less, remember. What a significantly huge mistake, second guy talked a good game but I think he was watching YouTube videos in my bathroom. Trying to figure out how to fix my bathroom. Plus asking for money without making any progress. Then he quit coming at all. Fast forward to now and we get to the something special. I called Burgan Home Services and talked with Stacy (she's the scheduler). I just wanted some guidance on what to do. Brandon came to my house the same day. He expressed his sympathy for my situation and pledged to help me navigate through whatever recourse I have with the YouTube watching contractor. Burgan Home Services will be finishing the bathrooms. I highly recommend them, their work and their customer service. They have my loyalty and will always be my go to contractor/handyman.
