Was looking for a quick lunch while traveling between Virginia Beach and Lake Anna. Quality of food was okay. (2/5). My husband and I each got one of their special meal deals -- $5.99 each for a double cheeseburger (husband), loaded jumbo hot dog (me), crinkle fries, and small fountain sodas. The double burger was disappointing. While the bun was tasty, and it was served hot, the burgers tasted like frozen burgers, were relatively small, and were served "plain" -- without lettuce, tomatoes, or any other add-ons. The hot dog was tasty, served with chili, mustard, and raw onions though the mustard was a bit heavy for my taste. Crinkle fries tasted fresh, and were hot, but a bit over-salted. Our go-to fountain drinks were Diet Dr. Pepper, but they tasted watered down. Value (5/5). We received a good amount of food for under $7 each (with taxes), a reasonable price in this inflationary period. Staff/service (5/5). Staff were excellent. We were waited on promptly and politely. Ambiance. (5/5). Fine for a fast food restaurant. Clean. Almost no additional patrons when we were there. Location off I-64. Easy enough to find and to park, but you so need to drive a few miles off the highway. read more

Last 4 times I've been here food is wrong. I have a child that hates pickles. Everytime I order I say no pickles. Please make sure no pickles. And everytime there is pickles. The fries were hit and crispy I'll give them that. But one more time and they lose a customer for life. How hard is it not to put pickles on an item that you make fresh ?! read more

Horrible service! I waited 20 mins for a burger. They didn't tell me anything. Blasting music in the store. Employees walking around with Dew Rags on their head and T shirts. Very very unprofessional. The only 1 good thing about this restaurant was that it was clean. And after waiting 20 mins they brought the wrong order out so I had to wait another 10 mins. I have been using this Hardee's for years and never had a problem. I have used the drive through for the last few years to order breakfast, lunch or dinner. The lady at the window has always been very friendly to me. Perhaps it is what I order, excellent fried chicken breasts, chicken tenders, breakfast biscuit, hot dog occasionally and never burgers. I see all the negative reviews and just needed to add a positive. I just ordered chicken two weeks ago, no problem. I might add I am not a fast food customer usually. I limit my drive thru for chicken to Chick- Fil -A and Hardee's or I make my own. read more

I went here like 2 months ago for Thick burger that my ex told me to try and the place was empty and that was weird to me so I decided to eat outside cause I was hungry, didn't wanna eat in my car cause it is new and fast food kinda messy. So I sat down on the curb and two of your employees took a break while I was doing this. It was extremely windy on this day. My entire burger ended up falling apart and flying away, it was devastating. I just wanted to leave this review because your employees didn't laugh or anything, they really could've kicked a man when he was down but chose the high road. Thanks guys. Terrible awful service. Won't answer phone. On hold for 10 min for a simple question and hung up on me. When calling back phone would ring multiple times then it would be picked up and then the person would just hang up. Also disappointed they removed fried chicken from menu. No chicken... or maybe. Mediocre customer service. I called before I arrived to confirm they sold chicken at this location. Was informed once I arrived there would be a 20 minute wait on two 3 piece white and one 2 piece white. After agreeing to wait the 20 minutes since we drove there from our condo for chicken, I asked the manager (Crystal) if she could accommodate the wait. Spent over 20 bucks. Crystal began to tell me how Hardees operates regarding when they replenish their chicken... blah blah blah. I have no idea nor interest in what she was speaking about. Then, 11 minutes later a staff member realizes they have a whole tray of white chicken already prepared in a different cabinet @_@ Nevertheless, management eventually took $2 off and gave me my family's food. Restaurant was clean, food was good, beverages below average... all sodas tasted like seltzer water only. Would I return... Yup. I'd give them a second shot. This Hardee's is by far the worse one I've been to. Almost everyone does not have their face masks on properly. I currently have been waiting for my meal for a long time and then after doing so they seem to have forgotten my order. I have never had such a terrible experience at a drive thru until today. What can I say that hasn't already been said. If you're looking for a fast-food burger, this is the best in this part of the country. The fries are surprisingly good too, now that they make them with the skin on. No, it's not a five-star restaurant, but it deserves five stars for doing fast food really well. Last evening after shopping the Wife and I stopped in for a bite to eat. My first impression was how clean the place was. I was greeted by a nice young man, Everaud with a pleasant smile and may I help you? I ordered chilli not dogs and fries for myself and a order of chicken tenders for my Wife to go. I asked him if I could have soft and not crispy fries? His co-worker Nyjcyca said sure and I will cook them myself. When I got home, my Wife added the extras to complete a light meal. She said the tenders were delicious, as I thought my chilli dogs were the same. My experience with these two employes and the food was delightful. I will be returning to Hardie's again. L read more

Walking into Hardee's was like stepping back into a 1950's diner. I ordered a grilled-cheese bacon thick burger with onion rings. It wasn't what I expected. Their burger patties taste like turkey and the bacon and cheese tasted more like lettuce tomato and pickles. Whatever. The onion rings were subpar and the bathrooms were clean. I especially enjoyed the automatic unrinals. (I pushed the flush button anyway because I was scared it wouldn't flush.) The sweet tea was slightly to sweet for my tastes and the unsweetened tea wasn't sweet enough! Some days I just can't win. When we got back in the car my wife was upset about the quality of the food and struck me. I'm enrolling us in marital therapy when we get home. read more

Ok I know I said I would never return to this location and technically I'm true to my word since my wife went and got take out. So it's 10:50am on a Friday, breakfast crowd is gone, she pulls into the drive thru, orders two combo meals, no special instructions, pulls up to the window, handed drinks and is immediately asked to pull forward. Waits a couple minutes and gets the order to bring home. The food, bleh! The onion rings are dripping with grease and fries were thin cut and had a bad flavor. The burger was not any better as the meat was supper fatty and the bun tasted stale. One positive though the veggies tasted fresh and were crisp. Hit or miss. Staff was arguing loudly behind the counter. Got our only two orders wrong. Asked for eating utensils, lady got an attitude and gave me a fork and spoon. When I pointed out that we had two meals, she gave me 1 more spoon. Even though we live local, we won't be spending any more money there for a long time. The food was also not up to par. Ordered: a 3 piece fried chicken meal-got 2 pieces of chicken. an 8 piece meal, instead of 2 large sides, got 4 smalls, plus no coleslaw/replaced with canned green beans. Came in here on a Saturday, only customer in line and I was ignored. What fast food joint ignores customers? Ordered 2 1/3 lb thick burgers and a large order of fries. Every other Hardees puts mayo, ketchup and mustard on these burgers, way too much ketchup and mustard. So, I asked for no ketchup and mustard. Got home and there was nothing on these burgers, a few onions and pickles, no mayo. Fries were overdone. Threw $12.50 away along with the food. Ordered a cinnamon raisin biscuit with extra icing, got a old or burnt biscuit with little to no icing. They were crunchy and didn't seem fresh. We also went through the drive-through to order, and when we picked up our order the workers didn't give us any forks. I went inside, asked for forks (they were behind the counter where the general public cannot reach without asking) and I showed them my huge disappointment cinnamon raisin biscuits. This should be ranked in the NO STAR category...the absolute worst. Dirty, nasty filthy, rude, and terrible service. When you walk through the door you are overtaken with a strong urine smell and this pimp wave light skinned chic, obviously the manager, who had an ugly disposition off the flip. Customer service doesn't exist. I greeted her and received no response, so I ordered. Got my food quickly and discovered why...it was not fresh.
