Hardee's at West Liberty is great. Their 2 for $ 5 is great. I like their biscuits and gravy also. Big portions and friendly service.

We both had burgers... delicious! Try the Garlic pepper cheese if you can! I got the plate with fries, my husband just got a burger. The plate with fries was HUGE! We shared and still had left overs. There are tables and picnic tables out front, and a partially enclosed deck area around the side. We would highly recommend!

We were really looking forward to eating here after a two hour hike on a 91° day. I'd read the…read morereviews on the Garlic burger and knew that was what I'd have. My husband and I both ordered one. He also got regular fries and I did the sweet potato. The service staff was kind and helpful. I loved the way the restaurant was set up with indoor or outdoor seating. It was clean and fresh. The fries were great. The beer my husband order was nice and cold and refreshing. But the burgers, the main part of this meal...we each did a double.....someone doesn't know how to cook smash burgers. They were cooked so hard and dried out. They had flavor but they were so salty and this says a lot. I use a lot of natural salt in my diet every day; this was overkill. But on top of my burger being cooked past well done, the salt put the nail in the coffin. I was really disappointed. A nice juicy smash burger sounded so good, and it wasn't. When ya spend almost $60 for 2 double grass fed beef hamburger and fries and one beer...we expect a better meal. Maybe it was an off day for the cook or maybe this is how they are done all the time. We weren't asked how we wanted them done, which is kind of hard with smash burgers. You need to know how to cook them. If I was to give it a "next time" I'd mention to them how I cook want my meat done. There's a lot of good reviews. Maybe it was just an off day. So consider yourself forewarned if you're looking for a juicy burger.

It is my first time to Morehead, Kentucky. Absolutely beautiful place!…read moreMy son said I "needed" to try Cook Out before I left. I must tell you, there is massive hype surrounding this drive-thru only restaurant. For the college kid on a budget I totally get it. However, I was not totally on board as we rolled to a stop at one of the two drive thru lanes. It was pretty hard for me to hear and understand the person on the intercom. They have Mr Pibb but not Dr Pepper. Let me say here that Mr Pibb was a drink whose recipe was surely invented by the Soviets during the Cold War in order to create chaos an unrest in the US. I just got a coke. I ordered a "tray", with a double burger on the advice of my more worldly, athlete son. He went the distance and ordered the same, but in a special way ( I think it might have been "cookout style"?). Anyway, it came with chili and slaw... on the burger. Again, under his advisement , I ordered the hush puppies as a side, and I saw they had Cajun Fries, so I thought I would try them. My one regret is that I did not try one of the 45 shakes on the menu. I was not super hungry and I just couldn't justify buying one. The food was ready, fresh, and hot in a matter of about three minutes! A friendly efficient young lady passed it through the window to us and took our payment. I was pretty impressed at their operation as far as that went. My son's order was correct but I think they might've given me a junior burger or something? It turned out it was fine because there was quite a bit of food there. Hush puppies were in fact pretty good. The "Cajun Fries" were just crinkle cut fries with some kind of spicy, salty powder sprinkled on them after they put the fries in the styrofoam container. The tiny burger was tasty, and the burgers taste like they are flame broiled. Pretty good! Overall, the food was pretty good. My experience would've been a lot better if the intercom and order taker had been little bit better, so keep that in mind if you go here. The drive-through only business is not for me, but for college kids and people who just want to get something to eat on the way home I think it's fine. I can't recommend the shakes because I didn't try one but they all sounded really good.

I love ending summer days with a hamburger and hotdog (don't judge me). It is a great away to add a little "summer" to winter days. They had a sweet sticky sauce and came off the bone nicely. The rest of the sides were also good. Nothing spectacular but I have nothing negative to say. We came here after the summer boating season was over so the ice cream pickings were limited. Our server was Lexie and she was sweet. Another employee also tended to us a bit and he was very helpful. So if you are in the area and need a sturdy meal, stop in.
