We liked this restaurant. They were very friendly. We ordered breakfast. The food was good. The one thing that disturbed me was the grill out in the open. It didn't look too appetizing. Breakfast is not served til 10:30 a.m. If you're looking for a nice hometown place then this place fits the bill. read more

I lived in Olive Hill for over two decades and had Walkers breakfast today, for the first time. And WOW!!! It is delicious. Big generous portions (almost too much) you definitely get enough to share. My only complaint is absolutely none of the staff wears masks.... I had to put my mask on when the waitress brought our food to the car. This doesn't exactly surprise me because Olive Hill is largely Trump supporters. However, I figured they'd show more respect for their older customers because that is a large portion of their customers. Next time I will make a ruckus. read more

Great burger and Hospitality at its finest! I had the western burger and fries and it was very good. Handmade beef patty. You can tell it's family owned and ran, the woman running around in there does a great job. It took a little bit to get our food but it's to be expected, they have great food and a lot of orders to cook. read more

I've been eating here since I was really young. Granted the first time I had ever been in the restaurant was a few years ago. I can tell you that the food is just as good wrapped "to go" and maybe better if you consider the grease being soaked up in the wrapper a plus. So, whenever mom took grandma grocery shopping, us kids got to eat Walker's in the car! The grill is right there for everyone to see. You can sit at the counter and watch it all go down. They steam the buns (near as I can figure) in some sort of device they have near the grill. I witnessed it, but wasn't sure what was happening. Regardless, it's good food. You have to like fried though... and lots of grease. They have a pretty good selection on the menu but I always get a burger and krinkle cut fries (got hotdogs when I was little --good stuff). Sometimes I order fried mushrooms. Oh and sweet tea - they have some of the best tea. They don't just have lunch, folks. Breakfast, too! Fried bologna sandwich with a side of gravy for dippin'. Mmm! It's the kinda of bologna that is cut in uneven slab form off a big roll of bologna (Kentucky Border, I would guess). They also have the usual breakfast stuff but I suggest bologna. The place is yellow and dingy from all the years of smoking that has went on there. You can't see inside the windows at all, might be the nicotine stain but the windows might be designed that way. They have deer heads on the walls. There was a rumor that they were closed for awhile but we went in for a closer look and when I pulled the door open there were people (the same people as always) sitting around and eating. Game on! Snuffed out that rumor. My brothers and I eat here every 4th of July before starting our own grill duty... and man, do we ever look out of place. They know we are "out of towners" but they treat us right and serve good food. Not too expensive either. Cash only and pay at the front. read more

Not worth the price. We ordered onion rings as an appetizer and it was served as a side on my meal. Spent $4 on 6 TINY onion rings. Ridiculous. Dad ordered a boat load seafood platter and did not receive shrimp sauce. Couldn't get waitress's attention so he ended up using ketchup instead. The western burger came with, I guess, a creamy bbq sauce which did NOT taste anything like BBQ sauce. The cheese and bbq "sauce" were cold. The burger and bacon were lukewarm. Couldn't taste the burger itself as the bun was 4-5x thicker. Didn't know I was paying for mostly bread. And paid $6-$8 with no sides. Waitress ONLY came back at the END of the meal. The other tables had to go to the counter to get refills as waitresses don't come to the tables. $28 for the meal. I was better off cooking a meal at home. read more

Great little restaurant. The waitress was friendly and the food was really good. We had a hearty breakfast. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the hash browns were crispy just the way I like them. My wife had the fried ham and she said it was very tasty. We had a great experience in this hometown diner. We will return. read more

Walker's catered a lunch for a meeting I had in Olive Hill today. The Roast beef was really delicious as was the slaw. I was disappointed in the mashed potatoes which seemed on the thin side but the roast beef more than made up for that. I found the owner, Carl, good to work with and the price very reasonable. I'll be back to try their hamburgers which several folks have told me are really good. read more

Just left Walker's Grill...never so disappointed in my life! Chicken was cold and so hard it wasn't edible (took 2 bites), instant mashed potatoes and the dressing was mush. Told the manager the chicken wasn't edible and we refused to pay for it the response was "well it was good noon"! I have news for the new owners "it wasn't good at 6pm". You don't keep food that long and serve it to customers without telling them!!! If you're gonna serve a special at night...cook it at night! read more

Should've turned around and walkered out. The place is dirty...one person cooking and three standing around. Whoever is paying them needs to come look at how their buisness is being run. Took forever to get our order. Saw a waitress who sat a plate in front of a man who said it wasn't his walked off then ran back and took the plate...rule of tumb you sat it down in front of someone you don't serve it to another customer. Made that mistake more than once. Was their for a long time before getting my cheap grocery story quality meal. Need better managment and better workers. Retink your establishment! read more
