This young lady at the window, wearing gloves way too big for her hands,taking my money put the coins on the counter to count them, then dropped some coins on the floor because her gloves were too big, picked up the coins from the floor with the same too big of gloves and not changing these gloves put my fry's in my bag (with her thumb on the inside of the container )wearing these same too big of gloves that she just touched the floor with AND all the dirty money that she touched since she put them on and every dirty surface in the restaurant and probably her face or body because of an itch! Growing up in North Carolina I know all about Hardee's and the journey it has taken. In Michigan, they are far and few. The food is always good when I visit this location, only about 10 miles from my home. The service at the drive-thru is always great. I have not been inside in years. I have to say I have been a big fan since the late '70s. Yeah, I am old, but that Jingle from back in the day still sticks in my head. Hardee's best eating in the town up and down all around. It is my favorite item at Hardee's. I also got the big hot ham and cheese well because I am a fat @ss and one sandwich is not enough. I got my food and ended up eating it in the parking lot. Because driving back home to eat it was too far to take it from this location. I'm not particularly eager to eat food cold. I also need to point out I hate eating in my car. The Frisco burger was delicious, and Big Hot Ham and cheese was ok. I will have to stop back again when I am in the area. There used to be a bunch of Hardee's in metro Detroit when I was growing up. Now there's two, I think. An also-ran in the fast food game, Hardee's can be good if you get some giant burger with like mushrooms and onion rings on it with tons of melted cheese and barbecue sauce on grilled sourdough or something. Pretty much the unhealthier the better. Well, the last time I was here I had the most basic burger combo and the beef seemed like it was all just pink slime without all that other crap to distract me. After hitting up the Hardee's drive thru I went to play some disc golf, my new hobby, and I swear the crap I ate effected my performance. I felt like crap and just couldn't move as fluidly. And it probably just would have been worse if I had a more extra combo. And this is more my aging body crying out against fast food in general than anything against Hardee's in particular but it's a lower tier chain that's on its last legs here for a reason. Service has been alright at this location but i just fell into hitting up too many drive thrus over quarantimes. I'm fixing to eat better and this place is one of the exhibits in my case. read more

Food was good service was awful. I waited over 5 minutes to get service when the inside was empty. After I made my order they never brought me my order. I watched two people come in and leave with their food in the span of 15 minutes. I finally walked up to see about my food and the guy at the counter asked you didn't get your food? I was on this side of town and planned on going to Hardee's. It was a place I used to go to in my youth. Actually where I grew up the Hardee's turned to Arby's and I thought that's what happened to all of them. This was my thought until one glorious day leaving Mabel Gray I saw a Hardee's illuminating the night. So I thought the next time I'm on that side of town "I'm going!" Fast forward a couple years. Went to grab some drinks at Joebars LATIDO... a new change for the restaurant. Anyway, I wanted to grab Hardee's after so when I left I pulled right in. No cars were in the drive thru that I could see. I waited by the speaker. About three minutes or so a young boy came over the intercom asking what I wanted to order. I said "Hello." He responded. I gave him the number and asked for the combo. His response, "What's that?" I responded back a bit puzzled, "What is the combo...?" "Yes" "Um... the big chicken sandwich." "What's the combo?" He responded as if he were unclear of what that was. "The big chicken sandwich..." "Do you want a combo?" "Yes!" "Do you want a combo?" "Really? Yes. I want a combo." "What size?" "Medium" "What?" "Medium!" "Ok" "Pull forward." I thought it odd he didn't know the menu but maybe he was new? I also tried to deduce up his multiple questions to a bad intercom. However, he heard me when I first said hello in a normal voice. He was also having a conversation with someone in the space while taking my order. I'm not sure he understood that when the intercom is on... one can hear you. Oh well. I proceeded driving forward. There was one car in front of me waiting at the window. Ten minutes later. Still waiting. Twenty minutes later. Still waiting. No one came to the window to take money or check in on the car in front of me. So I ended up driving away. My thought was, wait another ten minutes and hope the person in front of me gets their food then wait longer for my food... or go grab a chicken sandwich from Wendy's. Shoutout to Wendy's down the road! They were fast and the food was freshly made. Took less than 10 minutes. I'm not meaning to sound crass Hardee's but get it together. It's fast food. It should be somewhat fast. Even though it's a fast food establishment there still is a level of professionalism that should be maintained. You may also want to evaluate your employee training program. The teenagers you are employing need to be mentored. Like anyone in a job/career, they need clear expectations and guidelines. They also need to know what excellence on the job looks like and that is often modeled by management/supervisors. One can't have an excellent team without having excellent leadership. This is an HP lifer review. Man.... WTF happened? This place has been around forever pretty much, aside from the time BK came in for a minute.. Many memories here growing up and it was always the go-to for a mushroom swiss burger. Not anymore. There is something about Hardees and Carls Jr that make me smile. Maybe not the best place, and yes it is fast food but it has sort of a Detroit pre-Gilbert takeover sort of feel. I was running errands and couldn't help but stop for breakfast. They still make biscuits each day and have quite a few selections of high calorie and sodium options. I wanted to keep it simple the Frisco selection is always been good but I had to go with an egg and sausage biscuit. My order was taken and I grabbed a table. The counter person brought my coffee out and a few minutes later the food. Taking into account where I am at and what I ordered, I had a big smile on my face the entire time I was there. Swindle at the cash register. Stopped on 2/12/2021 purchased $3.90 of food. Paid with a $20. I had just been to the ATM and got two $20's. The male african american 40ish person at the cash register, gave me change for a $10. An argument ensued about how much he was given. Pulled receipt out of my pocket and remaining $20, asserted I was not leaving until I got the proper change. Told him to close down the register and count it out. The change he initially offered was $6.10 which included a $5 and a $1. He took the change back and stated he was going to accept me at my word, and offered me $10 back as two $5s. I asserted he still had the original $5 and $1. He gave me it all back. This is a well rehearsed swindle to distract and retain funds due a customer in this situation. Pay attention at the cash register. BTW when I asked for the manager, he stated he was the manager. read more

Poor customer service. Was not given a receipt or an order number. Was asked by employee, "is this your order?" Nope. 30 minutes sitting in dining room, waiting for a few cheeseburgers. Nothing "fast" about this food. Lots of customers standing around waiting for their orders as well. Maybe not enough staff in kitchen. the burgers & fries were great BUT my friend & I went to pour us a drink at their dispenser I got a sprite & he got a Hi-C as I drunk my sprite I noticed it tasted weaker than I remember I ignored it.
