The space is cute and rustic. The walk up window for the host was pretty great so the staff isn't outside in the Fl heat. I made it a four star review instead of five because our server disappeared during the meal and never returned. Another server did eventually come by to cash us out but no offer of drink refills. Otherwise, a really nice spot for a meal while in town.

The place had cool vibes, albeit a bit dingy, as you're basically hugging the flight line while you dine. There were five of us for lunch. Drinks were 2 iced teas and a Diet Coke ($3.12 each). My wife thought her chicken salad had a good flavor, moist and tender chicken. However, she thought the croissant wasn't light and flaky. My Black Hawk burger had good enough flavor BUT the bun was falling apart and wasn't even warmed up. In the end, I had to finish eating it with a fork and knife. Decent service and ambient but value was lacking. It's probably a "one and done" place for us. Lunch for 5 with tip came out to just over $130.

The staff was super friendly, great has small-town hospitality vibe. Since we stopped for breakfast let's start with the coffee, absolutely fantastic. Rich, fresh, and hot - and they never let your cup get below half full. I swear the waitress had a sixth sense for it because my mug was topped off with a smile before I even realized it was getting low. You don't see that here in Miami. The portions are wonderfully generous without being ridiculous. My vegetable omelette was loaded with fluffy eggs & veges, crispy bacon, and perfectly golden hash browns - and the biscuit! Love me a good southern style biscuit! Everything tasted homemade like someone's grandma was back in the kitchen looking out for you. Best of all? The prices are incredibly reasonable, especially for the quality and quantity you get. I left feeling so FULL that my next meal was dinner.
