Drinks are underwhelming and overpriced.
Dennis V.

This is a typical HRC store. The food was overpriced, but good. I ordered the ribs and they always seem to taste exactly the same as in the past. The drinks were underwhelming and super expensive. Especially compared to all the surrounding alternatives. The place is loud and overcrowded with tourists. Our waitress was very nice, but she seemed to disappear at times for 15 minute intervals. I think the corporate offices need to do something about all these stores, as they are almost exactly as they were in the 80's, only with ridiculous prices.

Dublin's Hard Rock Cafe is located right at the beginning of Fleet Street as you enter the ever busy and popular Temple Bar area. While I did not eat here on this occasion, I have eaten here on a past visit to Ireland. This review is only for the atmosphere and Rock Shop experience. The Hard Rock Cafe Dublin has been open about 20 years, and has been renovated a few times. Most of the street level is dominated by their gift shop (Rock Shop), with a majority of the restaurant seating down one level. Wandering around the main restaurant level, it felt a bit too dark in places and smelled a bit musty (the age is showing). Still, some areas are brighter than others, so your dining experience may vary a bit based on where you're seated. The Rock Shop was stocked really well with merchandise including shirts, glassware, and collectibles. I was happy they had both a bottle opener and a city shot glass as I try to pick up the ones with nice designs when I travel. The one big negative is that prices are extremely high compared to many other European locations. About 20 euros for a bottle opener and 16 euros for a shot glass are a bit much. I'm sure it costs quite a bit to be located in an ideal tourist spot in Dublin, but the franchise owner of this location is definitely pushing it on the higher end when it comes to prices. Overall, this is a reliable option for food (especially if you're not a fan of Irish food), but deducting a star for the higher than normal prices for a European Hard Rock Cafe location.

I mean, it's Hard Rock Cafe. This place had the most expensive menu on our trip here in Dublin. Fair food and overpriced. I ordered a vanilla milkshake with whip cream. It was more like a whip cream shake with literally no ice cream. It stunk. My nacho plate was fair at best too. Waitress was nice and attentive but very disappointing food for sure today.

Dublin Hard Rock

Recently went to the Dublin Ireland Hard Rock Cafe. Not as large as the others, small retail. I collect the hard rock pins, and do like the food. My husband ordered the sundae and I got onion rings. My phone was dying, but the waitress said she would ask the manager for a charge cord. He brought it out and we plugged in and got electricity. Nice guy. Nice staff! Food came, gave a nice tip and returned the chord.

Beautiful space, lovely smells of food and loads of memorabilia. I only stopped in to get my magnet. Wherever I travel, if there is a Hard Rock, I'll stop in. If I haven't already eaten, I will grab a bite. Best onion rings ever. On this particular day, I had eaten enough stew. I was walking it off and only needed my magnet.

It's what I expect from HRC, which is Great! I recommend coming here at least once! The food was cooked to perfection, and establishment was clean. Service was good, even though they were overwhelmed with customers.

Ah success! I was able to get my 61st hard rock shot glass here. Dublin is really nice as a city. I didn't stop for food tonight, but the hard rock cafe is located on a very festive street near the river Liffey. I was greeted at the door, by friendly staff. Good selection of items and merchandise in the store too.

In my family it is a tradition to go to Hard Rock Cafe where ever in the world we are visiting. This Hard Rock had some amazing decor (a lot of neon), and friendly staff. The reason I can't give it a full 5 stars is because of how loud the music was. I couldn't even talk to the person next to me without screaming the whole time. The food was up to par with the rest of the Hard Rocks that I have been too. I personally had the nachos and they were quite good. Everyone else at the table ask really enjoyed their food to the point of not needing to/go boxes because there was nothing left. The drinks were well balanced (not too hard but still had a kick), and the staff was extremely kind. Made sure we were happy and checked in on us several times. Happy to have gotten to visit!

Ahem. I by no means wish to suggest that the standard of memerobilia isn't as high as in some of its other branches - it does have Bono`s sunglasses, a favourite shirt of Elvis's and a jacket owned by Madonna - but a rug owned by Jimi Hendrix? I mean really, what's next for the wall of fame? A radiator key owned by Kurt Cobain? A cushion sat on by Lindsay Lohan? However, the food on offer is just as good if not better than in the other Hard Rocks around the world - it must be the Irish beef - with all the items you might expect, including chicken wings, burgers, steaks, fajitas and ribs. A good place for someone on the Atkins diet, as long as you stay away from those loaded potato skins.

Classic Club Sandwich with Coleslaw and French Fries, yummy!

I've been to a couple of other Hard Rock Cafes before, so of course I had to go in here as well.... Nice atmosphere, very friendly waiters and delicious food. A little bit expensive so far. I had the Club Sandwich, which was really good. Didn't have to wait long for it and the soft drinks got refilled. Thanks to my waitress Gayle for the super good service.

My husband and I stopped by for dinner and I ordered a caesar salad and their fish chowder. The caesar was great but my gosh the fish chowder and accompanying brown bread rocked my socks. So, much so, that I did what I never do--I revisited this spot more than once on the same trip (so many places to explore I almost never do this!). That fish chowder is craveable. They do live music on occasion as well and so we were able to enjoy that while sipping our Guinness. The prices are reasonable and the service is friendly. FOR HE IS A MAN OF LIMERICK, and a kind soul - rare to find in those westerly parts. My spouse and sprog were also dressed for social warfare determined to keep up with the appetite of the warlords recently returned to the Fatherland.. I'm happy we didn't because we really enjoyed the atmosphere. I know an American going to a new American restaurant in Ireland is a little bit weird maybe not, but the music they were playing was pretty good. It was very old-school Americano kind of style. Nothing like it is today. So if you want to get the nostalgia of a little bit of America of what it used to be definitely come on in and check it out. We were greeted by the bartender look like he was the only one taking care of everybody. Came up and told us the special and the special that we chose was the fish and chips. This place is really great because not only do you get the fish and chips at a great deal you get a pint of beer included! I believe it came out to be about €20 but that has been the best deal that I could get the whole time I was in Ireland! My partner ordered a tonic and asked for some lime and was provided was a big bottle of lime juice. Check out the photo. The fish came out with two pieces. They were perfectly flaky, and the french fries were actually pretty crispy, unlike some places we visited in Ireland the french fries were really floppy and were baked rather than deep-fried. There are different specials on the lunch menu and I believe that the lunch menu goes until 5 PM. So if you're looking for a little bit of nostalgia and a great deal, check this place out while you're walking through the streets.

Our first meal in Dublin was at The Old Mill Restaurant, right in the heart of Temple Bar. It's been serving traditional Irish fare since the 1980s and has become a favorite stop for both locals and visitors looking for classic comfort food. After about a 20-minute wait, we were seated in the warm, inviting dining room. Susan ordered the mussels, one of her favorites, while I went with the Traditional Irish Stew and my daughter chose the Braised Beef & Guinness Stew. Both were exactly what we hoped for: hearty, flavorful, and perfect after a day of sightseeing. I finally understood why the Guinness stew had such a rich, dark color, and I have to admit, I came home a big fan of Irish stew. We finished with the Homemade Bread & Butter Pudding topped with fresh cream and custard, a comforting dessert that was the perfect ending to the meal. Service, atmosphere, value, and food were all five out of five. We also enjoyed chatting with the floor manager, whose pride in the restaurant and his team was obvious. That kind of hospitality made a great meal even more memorable.
