We stopped here as this is the town where Sue's mom was born. After wandering around on a Saturday morning we sought out a place that we might find a proper Welsh breakfast. We came upon the store part on the bottom floor and while inside I noticed a sign for a cafe just up the stairs. Mentioned it to Sue and we took a look. Cute little place. Busy on an overcast Saturday morning. We saw that they offered a Welsh breakfast and we were sold. The breakfast consisted of good toast and Welsh butter, sausage and bacon (you read that correctly), mushrooms, tomatoes and sunny side up eggs. It hit the spot after a long flight from the states. It's served with a pile of cheese that melts quickly, and a stack of seasoned mushrooms that leave a nice sauce for you to dip the potato skin in. My favorite part was definitely the latter. It's also served with a decent salad- I enjoyed the dressing. I could only steal a few bites of the brie and cranberry panini, but it was as good as I expected. Their Instagram is just as unprofessional, filled with childish stories, digs at other local coffee shops, and even personal posts that have no place on a business account. One recent story mocked a teenager who works at McDonald's, which I found really alarming. A café should be about good food, a welcoming space, and basic respect -- none of which were present here.
