The Beach Cafe is my favourite cafe hereabouts, and it's very popular with locals and visitors. On a windy day you can sit indoors in the warm and watch the windsurfers, and on a sunny day you can sit out on the verandah. The views are great, from Penmaenmawr mountain right round to the Great Orme. There is a large council-owned car park nearby, £1 for 2 hours or £1.50 for 4 hours (in 2011), and the cycle track to Deganwy and Conwy passes the door.
Alison and the team make you very welcome at the cafe. There is a choice of free newspapers to read. The cafe is busy from opening time, and at times you may have to wait to be served. The food is very good, there is a wide variety, and it is good value. I can recommend their traditional Welsh breakfasts. There is nowhere locally to beat it! read more
