A lot of the regular portions else where in llandudno are quite healthy so that's why we went small. I believe this worked out around £13 (£3 for the chips each and £7 for the med cod) We ordered got a ticket and was waiting out on the street for 25 mins until our order was called we took them away and went back to our room. Once back we discovered that there was around 15 chips in each box (on show in the pic) and the rest crispy straps (underneath what is shown in rhe pic). I thought I'd ring the number on the website rather than going straight back to the chip shop and ask if the price was right at £3 for a small chips and advised my unhappiness considering other chip shops in the area are more competitively priced for the size and to be honest was after taking them back as thought it was a bit of a take on. Initially the first person I spoke to was fair enough and advised he'd speak to his manager. I then spoke with the manager who confirmed the price was right, stated that a small is equivalent to a cone (but there were no cones in the shop to compare what we would get and the chips were put in a box the size a burger would go in) I had explained the above, how unhappy I was considering and based on this would we be able to come back show him what had been served and have a refund to which he laughed and said "under no circumstances would I be able to refund you based on what your definition of a small / cone portion should be." I said but I can show you what has been served and you can see for yourself and also would this not possible under the circumstances of bad customer service and quality? But again repeated their size ratio measured against a cone very curt and advised no. I stated I would leave a review advising of my experience as I was really unhappy and he stated you "you don't need the threaten me with leaving a review, but thanks for your call, good bye" then hung up. Not the experience, customer service or quality you would expect from a small run family business that the manager had advised of, cooked to order. I would not go to this chip shop the next time we holiday in llandudno and do not recommend.

We tried to get into their diner next door to eat in, but they don't reserve tables and it was rammed so it's pot luck really for when you turn up, but it's the same food they serve at the takeaway so it's no worries really. We had battered haddock with chips and mushy peas - the fish was good quality, the batter light and the peas homemade, meaning it didn't feel quite as unhealthy as it was (that's not really the point of fish and chips though is it...?) It was £8 each for all this and much more than we could eat so it doesn't need to break the bank; the diner next door charges £3 extra per fish for eating in.

As they say 'if it ain't broke, don't try to fix it'. There's the choice of either takeaway or you can eat in the small dining area. Unfortunately there are no scenic views on offer but you can always watch the cars going by on Conwy Road. The emphasis here is on using good quality ingredients which are well prepared. There's a decent choice of food available, although there are no real surprises, but whatever you opt for you shouldn't leave disappointed. If you like your fish and chips you won't go too far wrong here. The shop is located in Llandudno Junction which is about four miles from Llandudno itself and is a short (if steep) walk from the railway station.

Llandudno has all sorts of by-laws prohibiting the sale of takeaway food so there aren't too many fish and chip shops to be found. The food is ok rather than great although because it gets busy it's often freshly prepared which helps. ps a word of warning-if you do opt for takeaway beware of the gulls and stay under cover!

Whilst it may not be the BEST Chippy in town it is Noted as one of the busiest and is popular with locals and has a good late night trade after the pubs have shut. Whilst I dont go to this Takeaway very often anymore as there is one closer to where I live, I have very fond memories of Beckies Chippy when I used to escape the bland and boring School Dinners to get a Bag of Greasy Chips with an extra scoop of batter bits for just 50p!! But now recession has hit, Llandudno has too many empty properties in the town centre, and St. George's Place in particular has been badly affected. Presumably the powers-that-be have decided that a chip shop is marginally better than an empty shop. Having now paid a visit to St. George's Plaice I have to say it isn't that bad. We had to wait a couple of minutes for a fresh batch of chips so our food was hot and fresh (maybe lucky timing though!). The chips were nicely cut, thick but not greasy, and better than you'd get just down the road in Tribells. Unlike Tribells though this a takeaway only so you can't eat in. The prices were maybe a bit higher than in other chippies in the area, presumably you pay a town centre premium, but I'm sure I'll return at some point.
