    Small pepperoni pizza
    Adriana Z.

Went to this hole in a wall a few months ago when I decided to escape to Half Moon Bay. Overall the service was pretty good but the pizza was not the best quality and they definitely shorted me on the pepperoni by only half the pizza having the topping. Pizza did its job in filling me up but I don't plan on returning.

This is is a tiny little spot right next to the water. A friend and I stopped by after visiting the pumpkin patch down the road. We ordered half Hawaiian and half combo, and both were pretty disappointing. The combo side only had sausage, bell peppers, and red onion. On the Hawaiian side - I think they just tossed entire slices of deli meat on top (I mean I guess we just eating smaller versions of that on other pizzas anyway ha).

This place was OK. It's not something I would brag about, but overall the kids were happy and that is what mattered the most. The inside is very small so this is definitely not a sit down place. The barbecue chicken pizza was really good. But as I mentioned in the photo, there was a piece of tinfoil on one of my sausage pieces. Luckily I caught it before I ate it. The salad was decent sized. And it did its duty by getting vegetables into my children, lol. I'm not from around the area, so I definitely wouldn't stick this place out again. But if I lived nearby, I would eat here again.

10/3/2020. Small combo pizza. Not stingy on ingredients! Love it!

Came here around 10-11am on a Saturday morning.. hungover af, but hungry! We were gona go to Press but they weren't open. I underestimated this place cause it looked a little shabby but wowww I'm amazed! a yummy hole in the wall type place. Loved it! Also, no line around the time we came so yayyy! Ordered chicken alfredo and a small combination pizza. DELICIOUS!!! Been wanting to find an average priced pizza pasta joint in town and I finally found it! Damn.. where have you been all my liiiife lol. Enjoyyyy ya'll ~

Finally tried Harbor Pizza and I'm so glad I did! Their pizza is like an old fashioned Diner - no pretense, no fluff... just good solid food. Love the thin crust, nice and chewy. Ordered 1/2 Hawaiian piled high with pineapple, and 1/2 pepperoni, green pepper and onion. Portions are solid between the sauce, cheese and toppings. Everything has good flavor and the veggies are super fresh. Even if I lived out of town, I would come here for their pizza. Straight forward, reasonably priced and delicious! GO there... NOW : )

    BBQ chicken pizza is delicious!

Pizza is delicious! We went there because of other reviews saying the pizza selection is really good

Their Sicilian pizzas take about 30-40 minutes to cook, but they had this whole pizza available for by-the-slice so they just heated it up for us. If you're familiar with Detroit style pizza, this is similar. The crust is pillowy, soft, and herbaceous. The generous portions of sauce, cheese, and toppings are almost too heavy for the crust so you definitely need both hands to pick up a slice. The pizza is basically dripping with decadence -- normally the small is split into 4 slices but we asked them to split it into 6 -- definitely the right move. I have a smaller appetite and one and a half slices was more than plenty for me, while my buddy who has a much larger appetite had three slices. I definitely recommend asking for ranch and hot sauce if that's you're thing since they' really enhance the experience.

For years, Verrazzano has been our to-go for pizza in HMB. I have previously written a 5-star Yelp…read morereview about them. There have always been occasional problems with consistency, but when they were on their game the pies were absolutely delicious, which is why we were loyal customers. Our fridge is festooned with the colorful and imaginative stickers that seal the Verrazzano delivery boxes. Unfortunately, our last two pizzas (we order about once every two weeks) have been simply awful. We thought maybe the first one was a fluke, but the second one was the just same. Verrazzano have definitely changed to cheaper ingredients, so cheap that we didn't even feel like finishing the pies. We always order the same combo, so the change was quite pronounced. The crust was sad, the cheese was different and tasted weird, the olives tasted like they were the cheapest tinned brand possible. Half the onions were raw. Such a comedown, and not worth the money now.

Some of the hot dishes can take a bit longer, but it's clearly freshly fried and always delicious so it's worth the minor wait. Lots of picnic benches in front of the food truck. Chicharron is chunks of crispy fried pork belly - great when you want some fatty porky indulgence. The red onions pair perfectly to cut through the richness, and the Peruvian corn nuts are a fun addition! Pollo Peruana is stewed chicken thighs. Tender and fell off the bone, but could've used a bit more salt. Still tasty with a nice side salad. Lechonada peruana is stewed pork belly chunks. Fatty juicy tender, and the pork comes on a bed of saucy fries for extra heft. I like to get it with extra salad instead of rice. Super good. I asked how long it would take to get here. They said 20 minutes. They got here about an hour later. I'm pretty sure it was ready in 20 minutes. The cheese at coagulated and was pretty hard. I called and asked where it was, and the guy said it was the delivery guy's fault. Not that that's any of my business, but at least the guy on the phone was not to blame. This used to be the best pizza on the coast side. Not only was it late, and nearly cold. I think the ingredients are cheaper now too. It was very salty. Very few pepperonis. And the crust that used to be really wonderful, is now boring. I saw another post that said that someone did buy the place, so if it's under new management, it's not worth buying from them anymore. I thought I had got a pizza from there a couple of months ago, and don't remember it being bad. Maybe they are just uneven. But this was a really crappy pizza.

I still think about their Brussels sprout chips--and they aren't even on the menu anymore! I loved them so much after my first visit that I went home and started making Brussels sprouts in my air fryer. They were on repeat for months. That is probably the highest compliment I can give a restaurant dish: it followed me home. My most recent lunch in August included squash blossoms, fava beans and brown butter pasta, and it was another reminder of why I love this place. Pasta Moon does seasonal ingredients so well. The food feels thoughtful without being fussy, and even relatively simple ingredients are treated like they matter. And, of course, the pasta. I've eaten my way around enough of this menu that I'm well past having a single recommendation. Order what sounds good. Try something seasonal. Share a few things. I genuinely don't think you can go wrong. Pasta Moon has become one of those places I look forward to whenever I'm in Half Moon Bay--and yes, I'm still hoping those Brussels sprout chips make a comeback someday.

So we went next door to the actual sit down restaurant. It was our first ever dine in experience. Kinda hard to believe since we've been going to the walkup stand for nearly 30 years but never stepped into the restaurant. First thing I noticed was the size of the place. Ya' all it's small in there. Beyond left of cozy. The tables are close together. I'm not a large person, but even I had to turn and twist to maneuver around the tables while dodging other customers and staff. The view is gorgeous though, I didn't get to enjoy it since my back was towards the windows. Oh yes, you'll have to row-sham-bo with folks in party to see who gets the chairs with the view. Onto to talking about the food... Hubs got the fish n chips. This is one of the items we order at the walk up stand. Classic battered cod fried to a golden crisp. Beautiful golden color crust, satisfying audible crunch, Yum. The fries are thick cut. Very standard. I went rogue trying something totally new from here. I ordered the prawn pasta. With that entree, I received a sliced bread loaf to the table with butter. It was served a bit warm. Tasted great. Nice. Bring on the carbs! The pasta has two sauce options of Italiano style sauce or marinara. II asked the server what was the difference, he said Italiano style sauce was thicker without additional info. So Italiano style it is. The linguine was covered in a copious amount of the sauce. The sauce itself had profound sweetness. My tastebuds debated on liking it. The sauce to pasta ratio was overboard. But the amount of prawns was a nice serving size. The prawns were mixed into the sauce. They weren't easily visible. It was an Easter egg hunt to find them. If I had a choice between the walk up stand or sit down restaurant, I'll go to the walk up shack. Each place has a different menu. My palette and preferences are geared towards the walkup shack. Combination rating of 4 stars.
