I find the grocery prices to be noticeably higher than off-island, with some items feeling like they're marked up by around 25%. For that reason, I usually recommend doing larger grocery hauls off-island when possible and using Thriftway for smaller trips or things you need in a pinch. One of the biggest highlights is their deli. They have a great selection of prepared food, including sandwiches, burritos, burgers, and plenty of other options. Personally, I love their chicken strips and potato wedges--they're definitely some of my favorite things to grab there. They also have a coffee stand, although my experience with it can be a little inconsistent depending on who is working. Sometimes it's great, and other times it's not quite as good. Despite the higher prices, the staff are consistently friendly, helpful, and attentive, which makes a big difference. Overall, it's a very useful grocery store to have on the island. It's not necessarily where I'd go for a big, budget-friendly grocery haul, but it's extremely convenient and has some great food options when you need them.

So, we'll definitely be trying them next and seeing how it is! Thank you IGA, for your managers and your entire staff. They were helpful, courteous, and really great. We'll definitely come here first next time we're on the island for anything we may need!

They were delicious!! Smoked and nicely dried (not all greasy like some smoked meats I've had). This store is sort of old and not very pretty, but it gets the job done. The staff were friendly and polite during my visit and the parking lot was easy to get in and out of. Since this store is a block or two away from the main drag, I got a little lost the first time I tried to re-find it (after just having glimpsed it while banking nearby the day before).
