Hadn't been to Trader Joe's in a while, but the opportunity to travel with a few neighbors from the Tukwila Senior Living Apartments presented itself. I had nearly 2-hours to shop before being bussed back to the apartment complex so I must've circled the entire store and gone up & down every isle 3-4 times when my eyes came rest on Trader Joe's Dark Roast Coffee ($6.99 for 10- oz. bag of ground coffee). Never having tasted the coffee, and knowing how much I like dark roasts, I picked up a bag. The first thing I did upon returning to my place, was brew up a fresh cup of coffee. The 100% Arabica beans lent off a heavenly aroma leading my imagination to the fertile hillsides of Columbia, the jungles of Sumatra and the plantations of Cuba. Excellent flavors! Shopping in Burien, Washington... This location of Trader Joe's was relatively close to my high school classmate's home, so I stopped by quickly to take a look beforeIhad to meet up with her. I was so happy to see that the peach-colored AND turquoise-colored mini insulated coolers were available (at the entrance)! They're really handy as my niece has been using them to bring her leftover dinner to work for lunch the next day! She said that these mini coolers are a good size! I got some for her father, sister, and mother! Inside, this Trader Joe's was clean, spacious, organized, and well-lit. I got some snacks, greeting cards, and some yellow nectarines! I started looking for the store mascot and asked the cashier if these plushies were the ones. I showed her a photo on my phone, spotted the correct mascot, and took a photo when a female worker approached me and told me that "no photos were allowed in the store". I thought that she was joking until I looked at her facial expression. She was serious. Shucks. Oh, well... it's over. We got our prize (a lollipop) and took a photo outside of the store. We still went back the next day for more snacks and greeting cards because I had a bit more space in my luggage... LOL! read more

While home for Thanksgiving & needing a quick break from standing in the cold, and watching my nephew play during football practice, my brother and I quickly drove over to a nearby Trader Joe's. This particular area was new to me. Seasonal Yum: Trader Joe's Candy Cane Joe-Joes were a priority; first on my list. I wanted to introduce the delicious cookies that I crave every year around the holidays to my family. Luckily, there were just a few boxes left and I grabbed them ASAP! Haha! They are incredible & addictive! Phenomenal Florals: Trader Joe's has gorgeous flowers/bouquets. When I'm home for the holidays, I always buy my mom flowers. I found the most beautiful, colorful, and exotic mix to surprise my mom! Customer Service: Wildly friendly! While standing in the aisle, looking for crackers that I normally buy to make appetizers, a really nice employee at Trader Joe's walked over to me and asked if he could help. I truly appreciate that he took the time to ask me questions & helped me find the perfect crackers, since the ones I had in mind were not available. The woman at checkout was super nice as well. Overall: Great experience at this Trader Joe's, loved the friendliness, gorgeous flowers, found other items I needed on my list, and most of all, 2 boxes of Joe-Joe's were just waiting for me to take home! Trader Joe's is the best! This is my favorite location in the area (w W Seattle as a close second). The staff are great, items are well stocked, & I have found the produce section to be quality. I appreciate the variety of 'alternative' food they carry (dairy products, gluten free, organic, etc ). Their dessert & frozen items are tasty as well! Some say its pricey yet I think its more affordable than a co-op or other local chain grocery stores. A bit busy on the weekends yet parking is accessible. read more

This is my favorite grocery store. Things are priced just right. I prefer getting fresh cut flowers from here because of the price and the quality. The produce is of great quality as well. Do try their salad kits which are delicious. They also have ready to eat meal kits. Some of the favorite things to pick up from this grocery store are juices, coconut water, fresh produce, ready to eat salad kits, frozen Indian food, canned fizzy juices, potted plants. My new husband and I have been trying to eat healthy and I follow a blog that has tons of recipes from Trader Joes. I had never shopped here but I am a huge fan now! We love the meat selections, unique veggies and the healthy snack options. Everything is portioned appropriately for 2 people and very well priced. Their wine selections are amazing too! Of the Trader Joe's that are in my regular stomping grounds, this one just might be my preferred store due to the selection of lazy lunch foods. If you've been living under a rock (or perhaps are just here from out of state), TJ's is everyone's favourite funky grocery store. They never have any sales, but the prices are good and you don't need them. They are smaller than a standard grocery store, meaning a smaller selection -- and that's exactly the way they like it! TONS of TJ branded original products, everyone in your family is guaranteed to find something that they really, really like. Surprisingly a good place to get alcohol. Nearly everything I regularly buy is cheaper here than the regular grocery stores/Total Wine. Also a surprisingly good place to pick up flowers - nice selection to choose from and they're almost always super fresh. read more

I love Trader Joe's; let me count the ways! First, they gave raises to all their workers, after a Seattle ordinance required it for stores in Seattle. Wow. Not only do they enforce mask wearing and limit occupancy of stores, but the great prices and great selections on food and wine keep me coming back! If you want great customer service this is the place! I truly love going to this store. The produce selection and quality is above average. The premade salads and soups are excellent and always fresh. The best part is when you ask for something you can't find they go all out in locating it or ordering and holding it for you. I really appreciate how every employee is happy, smiling and welcoming. The staff here enjoys their job and it shows. What a great place to shop! This is the only place I know that actually carries turkey stock, it is great for your Thanksgiving stuffing and gravy. I was in again this week and they still had it. Have only been to this location of Trader Joe's one other time upon leaving the airport. Feel like I struck it rich in inventory of new items being fully stocked this second visit on Thursday May 20, 2021. They had the Peach Crisp Ice Cream, the brand new Vegan Cookies and Cream Bon Bons, the Ube flavored Cookies, oh yes please and thank you the Strawberry Shortcake Sandwhich Cookies! It is a welcoming, clean store with a different style of murals inside that I liked. Lots of Crew Members stocking, greeting, ready to help if needed. I also love to visit the PCC Community Market in the same parking lot. At TJ's I was also able to pick up their Pineapple Fruit Spread with which I am highly satisfied. Enjoyed it on toast but now considering it on my next bowl of Trader Joe's Vanilla Non Dairy Frozen Dessert made with almonds. Almost forgot to mention the Jalapeño Limeade I want to Mocktail it up with some Sparkling Pineapple Spring Water and maybe even add a little Pineapple Fruit Spread cause, why not? However, that's not the whole story, Trader Joe's is not just an small upscale discount american supermarket, it's actually the largest supermarket chain worldwide, parent company ALDI NORD (Albrecht Diskont) if you haven't noticed, it's german. Okay, don't get me wrong. I love Trader Joe's. However..... idk what it is about this location. But this is my second time buying packaged cookies or treats from this location, to get home and find a package of my cookies has been half eaten. I just sent my best friend across the country some Stroopwaffles from this location and she got them today and sent me a photo asking me if I had eaten some before sending. I was like absolutely not, because they're a gift for her and her husband. She sent me the photos attached below. That tin felt full when I packed it in the box to send her. I am sick and tired of spending money on things that are half eaten or someone got into it. I think you guys need to ensure some more sanitary safety on these packages of desserts or food. One busy Trader Joe and I am guessing its because its located near Sea Tac. I am not sure if its short staffed or people just looks tired. Don't get me wrong, the people here are really friendly. Its just that when you ask them a question they seems like they are going to drop on the ground as if they have worked for days without time off. Mind you this is Jan 3 that I came here. Not sure if all their staff are like partiers. So they have everything all Trader Joe's have. Good friendly service and everything looks fresh. Might not be too well stock. I came here at noon and there are a few shelves that looked empty. But its ok. Most of the stuff, I get here are not critical items. So like I say, I am a fan of Trader Joe. I will definitely come back. Lots of parking outside but the parking lot is quite full. I had to circle around for at least 15 mins before I got a parking. If you are in a rush, you might want to reconsider. Another thing to note, this TJ is not located right off a highway. Its near like another 15 mins drive off the highway. read more

While waiting for someone's flight to land at SeaTac, I made my way over to this Trader Joe's on a snack mission. Even though I told myself I was just gonna pick up a few things, let's be real, that never happens at Trader Joe's, especially with the very reasonable prices. I ended up purchasing too much and had to resort to pawning off some stuff to a friend. I came midday on a Friday so the store wasn't very crowded. I was dawdling so much that several people asked if I needed help, but that was nice of them to inquire. I was super impressed when the cashier noticed that my Quasar candy bar looked diminished and she had another crew member find me a fuller one. Whoa, that's some exceptional customer service. They didn't have as much selection on the salads as my usual TJ's and some of the other items I normally buy, they didn't have. They do have a huge wine selection! Great TJ's location - like everyone else's reviews have said. It was the closest TJ's to where I was visiting, so it immediately went on the list of places I HAD to go. If you're at the airport and have a bit of a layover, get a cab over to TJ's and buy some goodies! Love the selection of pretty much everything in Trader Joe's. If I had one nearby I'd be there all the time. Luckily they have really reasonable prices so I wouldn't go completely broke. I always find new things I want to try, and this trip was no exception. I found Pumpkin Butter since it is that season. It's really good, thicker than apple butter, all pumpkiny & filled with spices. Makes for a great pumpkin spice latte at home. I wish I had gotten a couple more jars to bring home. I did stock up on a few non-perishables that could go in my suitcase to tide me over until I can get another TJ's fix. As for all the other comments about great parking, yep, that was my experience too.
