This place is more about aesthetics than good food. It's on the water and it beautiful but the food is just ok. The tuna tartare was just ok and the chunks of tuna were too big. I ordered the crab cakes and they were good and it was served with a boring regular tartar sauce. You can't mess up Burrata and the raw clams were good. I enjoy coming here. It's a beautiful restaurant both inside and out. The servers are phenomenal and the staff is always kind/professional. My only complaint is that the price occasionally does not match the food. I can have a phenomenal lobster roll one night and a decent one the next. Both being about $25+. We got there at 5:45 pm and were completely ignored until my husband spoke to a staff member at 6:00 asking for our table. we were brushed off and once again ignored until 6:20 when we're we're told we would be sat soon Finally at 6:35 we got our table. we ordered as soon as we could and our appetizers didn't come out until 7:15 and they were cold. When our mains came out 45 minutes after we ordered them they were also cold and served by a careless staff member who couldn't be bothered to speak to us or answer any of our questions. It's amazing that they have a beautiful outdoor patio overlooking the harbor; spacious indoor dining with open windows; and great customer service. My friend and I was searching for something light to eat before heading to the beach. We ordered their Mediterranean grilled octopus, Caesar salad, lobster roll, and fried calamari. The grilled octopus was nicely seasoned paired with their signature sauce and served with diced peppers. The Caesar salad was delicious, fresh, and enjoyed the homemade Caesar dressing. The lobster roll had big chunks of lobster served in a buttered toasted roll and was definitely my favorite. Our last dish was their calamari and my friend loved it. It was perfectly seasoned, calamari wasn't overcooked; and the marinara was amazing. Along with our meals, we had their signature martini and frose (frozen rose wine). Our waiter never bothered to tell us the specials, never showed up with the bread we asked until the end, didn't give us a Caeser salad we ordered and then the waiter blamed both us and the kitchen for not getting our order in and complained about having to take it off the bill. We hosted a baby shower at Harbor Lights and were delighted with all aspects of the event. A Sunday brunch was the perfect way to celebrate and I know our guests were all very pleased. The Ballroom gave us the opportunity to spread out and enjoy the elegant room and lovely view. We were able to arrive early, set up decorations and personalize the space. When you decide to extend your deck so you can make more money, make sure you know your kitchen of 3 Line cooks can keep up with the demand. Sat down at 7 pm, had appetizers at 8pm. Octopus which was good, and 8 shrimp cocktail for $30 that were as dirty as it could get (poop vein on every single one of them). Dishes from the appetizer sat on our table for the remainder. We were informed by our server Dave that they extremely backed up because the owner expanded the deck to it's extremes and kept the kitchen with the same amount of staff (3 line cooks, 1 salad, 1 desert) this information was later confirmed by their manager. Sad when your staff calls you out on your shit. We got food one at a time (2 people on the table between 8:15-8:20. Cold pasta, cold lobster, well done NY steak.... Asked for a manager, server said that the manager was very busy but there is an owner sitting on the bar. Asked for owner, didn't get response for 20 minutes. Asked for my check and went to talk to her. I spoke to her in her native language and was respectful because she was eating her meal and didn't want to be rude but I had no idea what was coming... Servers and "management" is great but they work for a money hungry Greek. That should say it all. An apology would be accepted but calling me an asshole didn't do the trick. Shame on you. read more

The filet was disappointing, the scallop appetizer didn't mix well with the chutney. The lamb llollipops were cold but good. Whatever it came with was not good. The salad was overpriced. First off, waitress never brought the bread she offered to bring us. We were all starving but ok. No big deal. My daughters entree came out along with my son's appetizer. Not realizing my son wanted his appetizer along with his entree. My daughter is 9 and eats at the pace of a tortoise yet she managed to finish her dinner before our entrees even came out. After about 20, 25 minutes I see our waitress with a couple of plates heading our way. Praying it's ours. At this point, I tell our waitress the wait took incredibly long and that I wasn't happy. She told me that usually the appetizer and children's food comes out first and that's standard practice. My son is 22 years old! He ordered an alcoholic beverage! His appetizer (that he wanted along with his entree) had been finished for 20 minutes already. He ordered crab cakes by the way, that were dry and bland. And Yes, I understand its standard practice to wait to bring out entrees till after apps, but the app was 2 crab cakes. Did you honestly think everyone else wanted to wait for their food because 2 crab cakes were going to hold over 3 adults? You should've at least asked us if we wanted our entrees out at the same time as the 1 appetizer. Given us the option! Bc we would've absolutely told you to bring it all out together. Again, we were starving! I tell the waitress that I'm super unhappy about the long wait and while she's apologetic she keeps on insisting that appetizers come out before entrees. Again, it was 2 crab cakes. So now entrees are out. We begin to eat. I ordered the seafood risotto and my husband ordered a lobster roll. My son ordered a steak sandwich (to go with his 2 crab cakes.) my seafood risotto tasted like paper. Dry as ever! I asked my husband how his lobster roll was. He gave me a look of disappointment. My son, same look. Utter disappointment. My clams were so tough, I couldn't break it apart in my mouth. Clearly overcooked. No one ever came to check on us and ask how the food was, if we needed anything, needed a refill, nothing. Because we were all so hungry, we ate what we could to at least feel somewhat full. once we were all done, I asked for a manager and the manager had the audacity to tell us "well you ate everything on your plate so I can't comp anything." At this point, she's lucky I didn't lose my sh*t on her because everything about our dinner was trash. You couldn't offer me a gift card to the place to convince me to go. The food was mediocre but very expensive. Oysters were dull, octopus was tasty but too squishy. Their Red Snapper special was overcooked and came with too much pepper polenta as a base. Did I say that this place is expensive? For what you get, it is certainly over-priced. The bill took away whatever enjoyment the evening produced. The restaurant had no fresh vegetables and half of the menu was not available. The lobster roll was one of the worst lobster rolls I've ever tasted for about $33. Lobster meat was below average and mostly from the lobster claws. There were no real chunks of the good meat in a good lobster. The waiter was a nice guy, but as another reviewer said, he wasn't set up for success by the management. The location is good overlooking the sound, but I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone unless they make big changes by serving fresh ingredients and good quality food. Had 1/2 a dozen oysters of the blue point variety (yes they come from 1 block away and are the oversized variety; just the best) I ordered the Prix Fixe menu and NE Clam Chowder, Sole Francaise and then the Profiterole for dessert; my wife had just had an app of Shrimp & Coquilles St Jacques New England Clam Chowder: Holy Chowder!! the best jamb packed soup!! with plenty of bacon and clams and not a lot soup; very hearty and the best ever! Sole Française was with carrot and green beans and capers. Very nice and then the profiteroles were served with cream and ice cream. Very kind service and restaurant was moderately full for a Tuesday night. Maybe smart to have reservations for Fri and Sat eves. We stopped by for a Sunday evening dinner after a sunset sail from Cove Marina. There was ample parking and we were seated right away. There were few diners inside and only a few occupied tables outside. Our waitress was friendly and efficient taking drink orders and bread was offered while we perused our menus. The menu is simple and limited with just a few choices of appetizers, salads and entrees. Entrees are ala cart. You don't need much help understanding the menu. We received our drinks while contemplating our choices and the waitress came by to offer the evening specials with mouth watering descriptions. We ordered one salad to share and two entrees (no appetizers). Our salad came out almost immediately. I asked for no onion but had to pick them off as the salad must have been made and they did not bother to remove them. The wait staff came by to check on our satisfaction, fill our water glasses and see if more wine was needed. Our entrees arrived after the salads were cleared. Our meals were delicious and we were very satisfied. The cost for three glasses of wine, one salad, two entrees and tip came out to about $130 which was pricey. The food and service was good, water views are nice and free on site parking. Overall good. Not sure why more tables were filled. read more

This used to be a fabulous restaurant. I would look forward to going and having a leisurely dinner with my family. Last night we waited 60 minutes for an appetizer and 2 hours for the main course to arrive - this is not an exaggeration. They had no specials - had sold out. And we were not the only table with this issue. They were training busboys, who had absolutely no idea what to do. Our waiter was beyond frustrated and kept apologizing, but it wasn't his fault. I think the reason for this is that they have opened another patio outside and were overwhelmed and understaffed. Shame on you management for not anticipating this. It was just a comedy of errors. I had the Pan Seared Salmon With lemon risotto and asparagus in a blood orange sauce. I loved the blood orange sauce, it paired perfectly with everything in the plate! My mom had the Seafood Casserole which was littlenecks, mussels, shrimp, calamari and pieces of fish in a tomato clam broth. That was also delicious. We basically shared our two entrees and we were so full when we left! Staff is super friendly and helpful, and even if you are seated inside, you can still see the water since there are huge windows.
