I stood in the lumber section for 15 minutes, waiting for somebody to help me as associates walked past me. Until I finally stopped one of them and she said oh I'll call somebody. I proceeded to wait another 10 minutes for said somebody to come to no avail. After I finally found somebody and showed them the board I wanted and if I could get it cut, he told me those boards are over on the first aisle. You can go get it and bring it to me then I will cut it. So I went back to the aisle, but I was on at the beginning and did not find that specific board that was clearly on the inventory rack with all the other lumber. So I finally just found a pre-cut board that I ended up paying four times price that the other boards cost just to avoid being felt like I was stupid or just because I was a woman- I didn't know what I was talking about. Just do yourself a favor and skip the Home Depot altogether.

I couldn't have been farther off base in my assumption. The only similarity is the helpful staff working in the store, which gained this place an extra star. They greet patrons as they enter and offer to help them find things. Initially, I said I was going to browse around a little and pick up the things I needed. I ended up going back asking for help finding items I was looking for. The clerk working helped me look for the items I needed and then told me they are not actually an Ace Hardware Store anymore. They're an authorized Ace retailer, so they now sell some Ace products, but don't carry all normal items. She wasn't kidding! They don't carry most Ace products. No paint, no stain, etc. This place is mostly a feed store, I guess. I ended up going to Home Depot to get what I needed, they had it. I simply prefer to support the small businesses in a community. In this case, I bought two items at each place. I will try visiting another Ace hardware that's across town that the clerk recommended. I'm pretty sure I won't be back to this store.

The gentleman that works here was very helpful, walked us thru the whole process & told us to return the trailer with his 24/7 self serve return whenever we liked as he is closed on Sundays. We picked up the trailer, picked up the antique & returned the trailer with no issues. However, the return did not process bc the web site was down. Another causality of the Digital Matrix apocalypse. Oopsy. Digital doesn't work without power derp derp. We prefer his wonderful customer to customer personal service better anyway. I had a very uncomfortable experience today. I usually enjoy shopping here and it's actually one of…read moremy favorite places, which is why I brought people with me today. However, one employee touched my shoulder and poked me instead of simply saying "excuse me" to ask me to move. When I reacted, he spoke to me in a rude and disrespectful way and did not apologize. This made me feel especially targeted and uncomfortable. I expect to be treated with the same basic respect as any other customer. Employees should never touch customers without consent, and this behavior is unacceptable. I hope management takes this seriously.
