On 4/8, I purchased a craftsman drill from this Ace Hardware. At checkout, Cassie the cashier told…read moreme if it is opened they cannot return it unless it's defective but even then they recommend going through craftsman to return it. I go home, open the drill to put the battery on the charger and the charger will not work. We tried four different outlets and it will not work at all. So I call craftsman because Cassie told me it would be a hassle to come back for a defective product, and craftsman tells me they will not and cannot do anything if it is within 30 days of purchase. It is up to the store to return the item. So I called Ace, I spoke with a guy and told him what happened. He said to come in today while the store manager is there before 5 or tomorrow when he is there. I came in today (4/9) and told Cassie what happened. She called up Mike, the shift manager. I told him what happened. He said that he cannot return it to the store. No one can. That I have to go through craftsman. I told him I called yesterday and was told the store manager would be here. He said he doesn't know who I spoke with and that he wasn't gonna be there today and he's the only one who could MAYBE do something, that I now I have to waste my time and come back tomorrow. He offered to keep the drill and take my info and have the manager reach out tomorrow, but he could not and would not take it out of the box and look at what I was talking about. He said that it was store policy that they cannot return it. I asked where that was, where it was posted. He used his foot to point out a sign that said they don't accept returns or exchanges. Yet I was told by the cashier for a defective item, that I could return it, and that that policy was not posted anywhere about defective items. I once again, called craftsman after leaving the store and they have informed me there is nothing they can do within the 30 day window and that the store HAS TO accept the return, exchange, etc. So now I have to wait until the manager Keaton comes in to see how screwed I am going to be or wait 5-8 WEEKS for craftsman to give me a refund.. I am appalled. Oh and to top it'll off, according to the manufacturer date it has been sitting on their shelf for 4 years.

We had our toddler with us and the sweet lady who was helping us with paint was engaging and kind to our little boy, which sure made us smile! Check out was also quick and efficient! Love that they have ice cream and toys too for little ones. Paint turned out great! We will be back for more home improvement needs!!!

She is friendly, attentive, informed and helpful! In a time when Outstanding Customer Service feels like an exception to the rule, Danielle takes us back to a time when working with the public entailed comprehensive Customer Service training. While speaking with Danielle, I noticed a sign on the Customer Service counter that requests from Customers that they please refrain from abusive speech and behavior being directed to the Lowe's staff (paraphrased). I mentioned to Danielle that it's sad that this sign is even needed. Even with this opportunity to complain, Danielle maintained a positive and helpful attitude and smile. She exemplifies outstanding Customer Service, and I suspect it's her normal disposition. I hope she is recognized and rewarded for the important contribution she makes to the Lowe's team and brand!

Called warranty department and they sent a link to schedule appointment, I received a confirmation for an 8am-12pm appointment. At 8am received a message that they cannot make it until between 12pm-5pm. They showed up between 2pm - 2:30pm and said its the main frame board and it will take them 5-7 days to get the part. So Lowes at Ridge and Little is refusing to replace it even though its still under warranty and the warranty department does not care about a family 4 going without a Frig for 5-7 days. Lowes truly do NOT care about their Customers!!!!!!!!!!

The moment I walk in the guy behind the counter starts telling me how they don't have the part I…read morewant. I go to explain that I need an adapter and he starts spouting a bunch of plumber jargon at me and how they don't have what I'm looking for. I show him a picture of what I'm looking for and he doesn't look at it and tells me they don't have any 14 inch faucets because I'm holding a 14 inch faucet. I explain that I am bringing this in to find a piece that adapts to it and that this faucet is just fine and I'm not looking to replace it in 14 or 12 inches. So he did not understand my problem at all and was telling me how they couldn't solve it. I go to show him pictures again of what I want and he doesn't understand he just starts talking about how they don't have it. I have to explain to him that the picture is showing five different common parts, not one and he then proceeds to recommend some other place tells me all about how they have a selection of parts but that they won't sell them to me unless I'm a licensed plumber. Very unhelpful. Terrible customer service. He had no idea what I was looking for. And upon further Investigation into the pieces that I need he did in fact have the parts that I wanted after sending me out. Was I dressed nicely for this place? Because I'm not wearing overalls doesn't mean I don't know how to turn a wrench.

Upon walking in a very arrogant employee decided to address me as boss man and told me to immediately leave the store because they do not allow backpacks as a 44 year old person who rides his motorcycle as could be seen by my helmet in my hand and I have been in this store many times I said no problem and left but did add I will never be entering your store again while your very rude and misguided employee still is employed there. That is no way to treat a paying customer so I am without the tools I need and you are without the money in my pocket I guess off to harbor freight anyway at least I won't spend as much. Money there. The Good- Lots of stock on the shelves and seems to be…read morestaffed well. Pricing on some things is a bit high but relative to current market conditions The Bad- Went to shop for mini blinds. Nothing on the shelf fits but that's ok because these are made to be cut to the width of the windows. There is an apparatus right there to do so. HOWEVER, one sign says "We will cut to size in store while you shop" And then another paper sign that says "We don't cut grab and go mini blinds." Very confusing because I asked the adjacent department with cabinets and appliances if they cut blinds to the window width and he said the folks in blinds and flooring do. When I approached the person sitting at the desk and asked if he can cut some blinds down to my dimensions, he said "we can't cut them". I asked if customers are supposed to use the cutting machine to cut their blinds themselves or was it just for looks. He said, "We just can't cut them." My plan to initially buy 7 sets from HD plus some other items won't happen. Instead I went to Lowe's. I also have 6 additional sets I plan to replace but since HD won't cut to size with the equipment they already have, then my purchases will just be done elsewhere. If it's too much bother and if the customers are interrupting employees and whatever else is going on there in the store and there's no desire to sell goods, maybe I should just stick to the new "Blue" store closer to my house instead. Customer loyalty takes a while to earn but boy can it be lost in the blink of an eye. I realize this is being typed immediately after my visit and some personal passion is evident in what I've said above. I guess I'm a little peeved. My house sustained quite a lot of damage from Hurricane Milton. I've spent a generous amount of money at HD during this rebuild for materials and other supplies; walls, trim, paint, cleaning and storage items, etc. Seemingly simple home items like blinds may not appear to be that important on the surface. I've been living upstairs for more than 7 months. I'm at a point where I can move back into my bedroom on the first floor but need blinds for not only privacy but for blocking light. I still have to replace kitchen cabinets and attached drywall. There's additional renovations I'd like to do upstairs and will need floor covering, paint, blinds, etc. Easily a few grand at minimum. Something as stupid and meaningless as mini blinds and a lack to provide service for something that's been done in the past might be enough to cause my purchasing power to be redirected completely. You can buy a lot of items online from many sources and more often than not, at a better price. Folks like me show up at Home Depot and Lowe's for specific items and sometimes we just walk around and see what else we can buy that we don't need. But the main reason we go to the store to the shop....is the customer service. Without that, might as well find distributors online for all of our home needs. As cranky as this probably comes across, maybe look at a being said. Your BIGGEST asset and sale item is your service. When you only service expensive items and not the average purchased items, then you risk loosing most of your clientele. You can consider this review or ignore it. For the sake of Home Depot, I hope there is some consideration given to their meat and potatoes- "Service" Board associates sitting around chatting and ignoring customers probably isn't going generate the additional sales the corporation wants. Again, give it some thought or just dismiss the above. You have almost 17.1% of the US home improvement market against Lowe's at 15.2%. I'm sure you'll hold onto this lead.....for now. I would ask that you try to do better in the service area.
