I had just spent over $600 and just beginning my projects. I got in my car and went to LOWE'S. After the altercation, I was helped by NICHOLAS, who was very nice and professional. Most of the staff is sitting around on their phones and have no interest in helping the customers. I have no interest in spending my money at this location any longer. When I finally called, I was told the sale had been switched to the Cleveland Heights store, which, apparently, no one in Cleveland Heights knew. I sat here all day for no reason. I'm now waiting for a new delivery window --but why should I trust them? Their promises are plainly a joke. They're utterly incompetent. And they clearly don't care.

I waited over 7 hours for an order update. After seven hours I didn't even want the items and called corporate to cancel. During 7 hours there was no order update whatsoever. I then decided to go to the store a few days later to find the items on my own. I used Home Depot online product catalog to look up aisles and bays. Not even one of my ten purchased items was in the right bay which extended my time here. There was zero help on the store floor as always. Almost every aisle was obstructed with ladders or other equipment on a busy day - Sunday. I then had unfortunate interactions with staff. One associate rudely told me to go to checkout and not returns with so much zest. Another associate at checkout told me to put the items down in my cart and not hold them with so much hatred in her voice. I was very surprised. I'm overall appalled at every experience at this store. Store is unkempt. Customer service culture is rude. I've firmly decided to go to another retailer next time. I simply can't deal with more derailed experiences.

When I got to the cashier, she kept looking under the boards as I had an outdoor mat and Zevo. She told me that the wood was 5 marks and it was $44.00. I told her that I was told that it was $29.47 before it was cut and 5 cuts were free. She called the guy from lumber and he sided with her. She also had me lift the 3 pieces off the cart so that she could scan the mat. The display with the mats was right there at the entrance. I will not be going back there again, as they lost my business.

We have found that the pros mostly outweigh the cons. We've saved some money coming here through the years and have almost always found what we've needed for own home repairs and yard maintenance. The store is clean, well organized, and store employees have always been helpful and friendly. I've used the Menards app to see if the store has what I'm looking for and to help me locate items once I've found them. That's very useful. We get a kick out of finding food and drinks there. Couldn't believe we found giardiniera (spicy relish often used on Chicago-style hot dogs) and other items there in a pinch. It's saved us from going to a much busier grocery store. We've rented their pickup truck to bring furniture to our daughter''s new place. That was a good value and rental was a snap. But there are three things that we have found not so great: 1.) Their garden section is hit-or-miss with plants, and sometimes the plants look a bit unhealthy. 2.) I wish product reviews were available on their website and app to help me decide if products I'm considering are good or not. 3.) I think the rebate system is terrible; unless you are spending a lot, sending in a rebate slip to get back 11% on a five dollar item isn't worth the postage stamp, and you aren't always guaranteed that an item has a rebate attached to it-we recently discovered that. Also the 'rebate' is store credit, so not really cash back in your pocket.

He greeted us with a friendly smile and was helpful in getting the outdated order reopened. He directed us to the order pickup area, where I was greeted by GiGi, who was so friendly and helpful. Not only did we have an order to pick up, we also had one to cancel. She walked our information to the front desk to get us a refund, while we waited in the car. She came out with our paperwork, including our refund receipt. She then led us to the rock pickup area. There we met Jay. Again a friendly greeting. He loaded our materials and told us to have a nice day. You can be very proud of how these three represented Menards. I work in retail and I know the importance of good customer service.

In this case I was looking for a tile to use for a kitchen backsplash. After visiting several other big box stores and not finding the right fit I took a trip to Menards and found several options that fit my vision. The store also has everything else you could need. They show up, bring the new washer in but won't install it. The feeder hoses brought are only 4 feet long and won't reach the shutoffs. Use the old hoses already there I tell them. NO. They leave but don't take the old washer with them. I weigh 105 pounds and I had to uninstall the old washer, drag it out, push the new one in, connect feeder hoses, discharge hose and plug it in. I HAD TO DO THE INSTALLATION! And get this--they took the new feeder hoses with them. This is the new normal for Home Depot. Sell an expensive, heavy apploamce and leave the work to you.​
