Usually such a great experience in store. It's a clean store and always has great holiday decorations. However, there is terrible customer service at the gate if you are trying to pick up rocks or drywall. My husband had to load drywall by himself and the gate guard didn't proactively ask or offer any help. She told my husband "I'm not a mind reader". read more

We came to pick up an order of rocks and gravel that was ordered in 2025 and to get a credit on another order. The first person we saw was Ricardo. He greeted us with a friendly smile and was helpful in getting the outdated order reopened. He directed us to the order pickup area, where I was greeted by GiGi, who was so friendly and helpful. Not only did we have an order to pick up, we also had one to cancel. She walked our information to the front desk to get us a refund, while we waited in the car. She came out with our paperwork, including our refund receipt. She then led us to the rock pickup area. There we met Jay. Again a friendly greeting. The staff was helpful as we needed to ask where one particular item was located. It was easy to find a staff person too. We didn't have to wait in line either. I traveled from the east side of Cleveland to Menards on the southwest side, near Parma. As compared to the BIG BOX home improvement stores on the east side, I found Menards to be much, much better. They have better selection, organization and display of their inventory. Their staff is helpful and friendly. At the stores on the east side where I live, I spent a lot of time browsing the disorganized, mis-priced, confusing aisles for my home improvement project. Let me start with all the positive aspects about this particular Menards. I'm happy that this store opened and it's bringing many jobs to the area. There is nothing like going into a new, clean store full of everything you may need and more. Now for the not so positive. We went to this store looking for a portable air conditioner. After we went by an aisle and found all empty shelves, we decided to ask an employee about the item. They gave us a quick answer, oh check down that aisle. It was the same aisle we went down. We went to the appliance section and asked someone else, same generic answer. I understand completely with this heat that stores would not have many choices of air conditioning. What would have been nice if the employees would have tried just a little more. It might have been an off day for them, it's HOT and humid. I'm sure they are great people. Hopefully next time it will be better. I've been to this Menards twice and it left me underwhelmed. I do love the Menards in Sandusky. They're very helpful. I'm sure that as time goes by they'll get better. It's a new store and there is a learning process. The third visit might be the charm. I won't give up. read more

Ummmmm WOW. imagine if Home Depot and Lowe's had a Wal Mart baby is guess is the best description. This place is the size of two Home Depot's. It is massive. Lumber. Building supplies. Plumbing. Food. Lawn ornaments. Toys. Pool floaties. Everything. I walked around an hour and still wasn't all the way through. Place is new and check outs were long but ignore that other review about someone complaining about check out lines for a store a week old. This place might replace my weekly trips to Home Depot or Lowe's and Target. It has it all. Not too mention I found the same bathroom faucet here (not same brand but EXACT same look) for about $40 cheaper. Same with a kitchen faucet I already installed. Home Depot was $275 and Menards was $125. It wasn't a Moen but looked identical. Take time. Walk around. Enjoy the massive store and the jobs it brought to this area. Cheers Menards. Beware- you might be buying used merchandise! I bought a 5x7 area rug for $129.00 today, brought it home and laid it out in my living room. After a few minutes, I started wheezing, coughing and itching all over. It reminded me of the reaction I get from dogs and cats due to my allergies, but since I'm so allergic, no dog has ever been in my house ( I love them, just too allergic!) I took some tape and stuck a few pieces to the rug and when I pulled it up... DOG/CAT HAIRS!!! Where do I start? This is disgusting...if I wanted to buy a used rug, I would have went to a yard sale. And 129.00 is not cheap. My allergic reaction was pretty bad, the rug was big and heavy and a pain to drag back to Menards...and the manager could not have cared less when I explained what happened. He said, " it could have been a return... sorry that happened". Really? You didn't seem to be. Ridiculous. At least I got my money back, and of course won't go back there. read more

I bought Quality Craft Designer Image flooring from Menards for my business. It had a 30 year commercial warranty. IN LESS THAN ONE YEAR the edges of some of the planks started curling and some of the planks started cracking. I spent over $12000 on this floor and now Menards and Quality Craft are telling me there is nothing they can or will do. They are blaming installation but the boards curling and cracking have nothing to do with installation. The flooring is junk. They will not even attempt to repair or give me any kind of a refund so I could hire someone to fix it. I would never buy anything from Menards again nor would I buy any Quality Craft Flooring. I have reported them to the BBB and I have now hired an attorney to try to get some satisfaction! read more

I think I've found my new DIY store. I've been shopping at Menard's in Massillon, Ohio for years. When this store opened, I was happy and looking forward to visiting. The store is huge and it's nested between a Lowe's and a Home Depot. It's so nice to have options and selection. They have a better selection of lumber than both Lowe's and Home Depot. Plus, I found some gray basement paint that has rubber in it which helps to reduce the moisture coming through my basement walls. The paint was expensive, but it worked and it looked good. I'm very happy with the paint. I like the loading area. Most of the time, I'm in and out in under 15 minutes, so the loading area works well for me. read more

I was in the market for a new hot water tank for my home. Home Depot had the one i wanted but did not have it in stock. They charged 389. I looked on Menards website and they supposedly had 4 in stock but for 30 dollars more. I sent an email asking if they price match since H.D. has the same tank, free shipping for 30 dollars less. Long story short, in order to price match, they want the sku, flier, item, item number, person that made the tank, cardboard box it was shipped in etc. I stated that its on H.D.s website because they were out of stock in their Brooklyn location. They came late at night, after calling the store several times, and they delivered just half of the order, and I had rent a pick up from home depot to pick up the rest. This place is amazing. They give the the other big stores a true run for their money. I went to them for literally every project I had this summer...from patio, to garden, to lighting. They had it all, with great selection and great prices. The store is also a lot more pleasant than this other stores as well. I actually look forward to going back. So I was a huge Menards fan and was happy one opened near me. The first couple times I went there, I thought it was great, good wood selection and a great variety of products. I recently went there for a sizable lumber order. I looked and had questions about a product and nobody was around. Then I tried to stop someone who was in a hurry and sent me to the lumber desk. Once at the desk I waited for over 20 minutes while the only worker at the register was on a long phone call while 2-3 other workers came and went behind the counter ignoring what was going on.NO one stopped to help. It was like I was invisible. I got frustrated and left. There's a Home Depot closer and always more helpful. I can spend my money anywhere. read more
