They misrepresented treatment to be given, options available, price of services, and later increased price owed with no notification. I came into Dr Huddleston's office with a abscessed tooth needing a root canal. I originally called as a referral of my family doctor. He recommended I call Dr Huddleston to either have him do the root canal or to get a referral of a dental surgeon. When I called I spoke with Debbie. I told Debbie I was looking for an oral surgeon because I wanted to be put under for the root canal. I DID NOT want to be awake for the procedure. Debbie politely talked with me about what I was experiencing and said she couldn't give me a surgeon's name but assured me they could handle everything in their office. So I agreed to come in the next day After arriving at the office I was informed that they are not equipped to put people under and could only do a general local anesthetic. At this point I was already in a great deal of pain & very sick so I didn't want to risk getting any worse. I begrudgingly agreed to go ahead with the procedure knowing it would hurt very badly. I had provided my insurance info prior to the visit and was told there would be a nominal cost for me. So at least I felt assured in that. I never met Dr. Huddleston and only met his assistants. One woman came in and said they may be able to save the tooth as it was very badly damaged, but also told me I needed to get a root canal on another tooth on the other side. They told me if I didn't do it soon I would lose the other tooth. I was already in pain and on medications for it so I was pretty scared and terrified now. I asked how much this would all cost and they said they would check my insurance and let me know. After sitting in the chair waiting for about 15 minutes Debbie came back in. She sat down with me and showed me the total cost of the procedure which she said would be about $1250 for one tooth or $2500 for both. She said my insurance would cover $900 of it and I would have to pay the rest myself. I worked out a payment plan then with them for three more payments of $100 each, one of which I was paying that day. So I had two more payments. I then went to prep for the operation. But right before they started drilling the doctor lady came in again and said I had one final release of liability to sign that said that some equipment could break off in my mouth and some other major complications could happen. They presented this to me RIGHT as I was about to have my mouth drilled and had already had local anesthetic applied. I was terrified at this point. This was the worst time to try to present another release of liability. The entire time of this surgery I was thinking of equipment breaking off in my mouth. .. which it did. It took them an hour longer to do the surgery they expected. The hygienist couldn't keep the spring clamp connected right and metal kept flying all over the office. The drill bit broke, my mouth was killing me from being open for three hours, and I was now crying from pain since the local was wearing off or having little effect. This was why I wanted to be put under. So I didn't have to experience this moment. And they assured me... this moment wouldn't come. The hygienist eventually rushed through the end of the procedure getting the filling in. They said they couldn't put a crown on at this point which is something I thought they would be able to do. They said I'd have to come back for that. I have no intention on ever returning here again. But then today I get a phone call from Debbie saying my credit card on file declined. The one I gave them had become lost and I didn't update it. I called her back right away to update the credit card because I thought this was my final payment of $100. I was then informed I still had a balance of $295 dollars left to pay off. It turns out that my insurance paid for less than I was originally told and Debbie never notified me. She just planned on billing my credit card until it was paid off. This is an extremely shady business practice. Everything Debbie told me from being able to be put under, to costing just $300, to having nothing to worry about in regards to the surgery, to there being only a little pain was either a lie or misleading. I will never recommend this office to anyone ever.

You want to know how good Dr Curtis is? I lived in Southern California for 7 months last year and flew back to Seattle from San Diego just to get my teeth cleaned. I'm very particular about dentists since I get anxiety and have sensitive teeth, so I decided its worth staying with Dr Curtis even if it means catching a flight to get to my appointments!

On the last visit I had a 2 root canals that I don't think I needed. I should have gotten a second opinion so partially my fault. After that visit my teeth that had the root canals turned yellow. Which was never mentioned as a side effect of the procedure even the waiver I signed had no mention of it. They weren't very helpful and offered to fix it for several hundred dollars per tooth! No thank you I will take my business elsewhere from now on.

I chipped my tooth and returned to this clinic because I had already established care there. The…read moredentist told me the repair would only be a partial filling because my night guard might not fit afterward. After the filling, I experienced sensitivity to hot and cold, along with a sore sensation, for an entire month. I got a second opinion from another dentist, who explained that the filling had not been done properly. They also explained that even if a filling changes the fit of a night guard, the night guard can simply be adjusted. After they redid the filling, my sensitivity to hot and cold completely resolved, and my night guard still fits comfortably without any issues. During my visit to the new dental office, they also performed gum measurements, which had not been done during my initial visit at Bellevue Prime Dental Group. They reviewed my previous X-rays and pointed out that one of them did not fully capture my gums. They also found a significant amount of plaque and tartar buildup. They asked whether there had been a long gap since my last dental cleaning, but I had actually been seen for a cleaning at Bellevue Prime Dental Group in January. Overall, I did not feel that I received a thorough examination or comprehensive care at this clinic. I'm very glad I sought a second opinion as it resolved the ongoing sensitivity from the filling.

I have nothing but high praises for Dr. Berude…read more He is an exceptional doctor who made my first ever root canal, a wonderful, and non painful experience. Coming in, I had all of these fearful/negative images in my head. I spent the night youtubing videos and reading other peoples feedback on their root canal experiences. Needless to say, Dr. Berude turned my fears into mere perception. He is very compassionate, understanding, and full of patience. He will take his time to prep you, answer all your questions/concerns, and guide you through the entire process. I never felt more at ease. I was expecting excruciating pain from the needle injection, but felt nothing more then a mere pinch. In fact, it hurts less then getting a tattoo embedded in your skin! Once the novocain kicks in, your mouth will be numb and all you'll feel is the pressure and vibration from the utensils. I have no side affects, so residual effects and no longing aches. I can't wait to get the crown (although, it will cost me an arm and a leg) so that my teeth will become more stable. I really wish he was a general dentist so that I can make him my primary dentist. Needless to say, if I ever need another root canal done (knock on wood) he will be my go to guy.

It was just recently though that I became extremely grateful for Dr. Berude's quality and total patient care. I was referred to him for a new tooth problem last week and he found that it was something he probably couldn't solve long term and told me that his recommendation was to get the tooth extracted. Being my first time with such news, I asked Dr. Berude a hundred different questions about bridges, and other options and then about the process of extraction and implants. He sat and discussed all these things with me very thoroughly and patiently; in fact he encouraged my questions and was very understanding about my hesitation in making a decision. He didn't make me feel rushed or dumb and I finally resolved myself to the decision that the tooth really would need an extraction. Dr. Berude told me to call if I needed anything. I thanked him for his help and went to the counter only to discover that he had not charged me a penny for the visit. This was impressive considering that x-ray's had been taken, he had spent at least a half hour examining and talking with me and the fact that I had taken a slot that was expected to a for an hour and a half root canal. It's one thing to have a dentist do quality root canals, it's another thing to feel that, as a patient, you're a high priority. I probably wouldn't have minded paying for the visit, but this action told me more than anything that his concern was genuine and he respected me as a patient.

He is a perfectionist and does an outstanding job. All of his dental hygienists are very well trained and do excellent teeth cleaning.
