The Kwan office sends a text offering two options: provide the copay credit card number over the phone (we had a CC # end up on the dark web doing that once, so never again over the phone!), or drive to their office M-F 7:30-4 to present the copay CC to receive the refund via credit to the CC. So prepare to take time off from your job to accommodate their refund policy/process. This office will not simply mail a refund check to the patient--like most other medical facility refunds are disbursed. Customer service grade: F

Got a bill in the mail for $63 on what I was told was a free exam. Called the office to dispute…read morethis- they called the next day and left a voicemail saying that I had already received an exam through my insurance that year and that was why I was billed. Here's my question- why was I explicitly told my exam would be free while I was in the lobby after I told them I wouldn't be able to keep my appointment because they had just informed me that they don't take Care Credit. They then said, "what if we give you a free exam?" I said, guess it couldn't hurt- it did. See my initial review above. This is ridiculous simply because the front desk at every medical office should never promise anything is free unless they are absolutely sure. Now I am being made to pay out of pocket for an "exam" in an office that 1) made my situation worse by putting me in pain when I wasn't in any prior, 2) made a financial error on the front desk staff's part that is now MY responsibility, 3) asked for my SSN on the initial intake form which is completely bewildering- they said they need it to bill third party, well I didn't give them my SSN (because there's no way that's real, no one besides your job and the government need that information) and guess what, they found a way to bill me anyway. Do not go here. You will regret it.

I called to schedule a consult, Leena (who is so awesome) got me in the very next day and they did the treatment the following day! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism. The staff was incredibly friendly, patient, and attentive--they made me feel comfortable and at ease every step of the way. Dr. Matthew Tomala is truly a master of their craft. He took the time to explain the procedure clearly and answered all of my questions, which really helped calm my nerves. The treatment itself was quick, precise, and painless throughout the entire procedure! You can tell that patient care and comfort are top priorities here. I highly recommend Dr. Tomala and their team to anyone in need of endodontic care. It's rare to find a dental office that combines such a high level of skill with such genuine kindness. I'm so grateful to have been in such great hands!

And if you're going to need a root canal, you can do no better than Dr. Mandy Louis. I had developed swelling and pain in a molar. The front off staff get me in the very next morning and before I could say Happy New Year, the xrays were done and I was being numbed up for the root canal. Dr. Louie's injections are as pain-free as an injection can be. I was totally numb and honestly fell asleep a few times while she worked her way through my calcified roots. (I had been awake most of the night with discomfort.) She and her dental assistant worked together with such proficiency that I was done and out the door before my nap was really over. The front office staff gives very clear financial responsibility papers prior to the appt so I knew what to expect. Overall, I would have e rather gone to the movies but getting dentistry with Louis Endontics wasn't a bad second choice. I will definitely see her again for all my endontic needs. Thank you, Dr. Louis and staff fir a very easy experience.....as far as root canals go.

He is kind, gentle, communicative, and overall fantastic at what he does. He will always find the right treatment plan and work with you to meet your dental needs. Dr. David Larson, or "Dr. Dave" as I like to call him, is the best dentist I've ever had to the…read morepoint I actually look forward to going to the dentist...even for the four fillings I had to get after being afraid to see a dentist for ten years! For me, this is why I absolutely am very fond of Dr. Dave as my dentist: 1. There's no rush job. I think Dr. Dave is one of the few dentists these days that doesn't buy into the volume business, in-and-out in 15 minutes job. It's nice to know there are dentists that still take the time to understand and explain your dental situation. 2. Less about the office, more about the quality exam/treatment. Dr. Dave's dental office is in a building that more so resembles a community college from the late 80s/early 90s BUT he has the best possible apparatus to make your exam/procedure go very well such as instant dental images, no metal contraption to hold your mouth uncomfortable open and absolutely, positively, no pain when getting numbing medication before getting a filling replaced/tooth worked on. While I've gone to some dental offices where they have a big fancy tv in the waiting room, bottled water, and a hot towel, none really compare to just having a skilled dentist that does care. 3. Bends over backwards a bit. If you're in super dire need, I know Dr. Dave will try to make some arrangement, even when he's supposed to be closed to get patients in. 4. Dr. Dave will refer you out if need be. I needed four wisdom teeth removed per Dr. Dave's recommendation and recommended an oral surgeon to see, even explained the risks and my situation better than the oral surgeon he recommended I see. Although Dr. Dave does admit he can do wisdom teeth, my case was a tough one to which he said I'd be better off seeing someone who was more experienced in this. I appreciate his honesty. 5. Big parking lot and not on a super busy street. Compared to some other places, Dr. Dave's office is in a big parking lot that offers plentiful and free parking that isn't on a busy street so getting there should be easy. So...why wouldn't you see Dr. Dave? 1. You don't like dentists over the age of 40. 2. You will only go to fancy dental offices. 3. You just can't make the drive to Burien. 4. You already have a dentist you're fine with. 5. You don't want to see a dentist. 6. You work on your own teeth. 7. You don't like people named David. That said, if you need a dentist and live or are willing to drive to Burien, I'd go see Dr. Dave.

The front desk manager is very sweet and welcoming. Such a handsome guy, friendly and kind too. The x ray technician is a lovely lady as well. My dentist however, she has a special place in my heart. A bundle of joy. Dr. Yin always makes sure to talk me through everything. In the middle of procedures, she will give me updates on how much progress we're making. Sometimes she'll tell me I'm doing a good job and i get so happy like a child. I know it's silly but it's the little things that make the experience bearable. My last visit, i had a locked jaw. I wasn't aware this was a thing, that it could happened. It hurt alot so i panicked and freaked out. I'm genuinely not joking when i say this; I thought i was dying. She popped it back in place luckily. Immediately, I felt the warmth of relief. She was so kind to talk me through it, educated me that it happens sometimes. She even gave me a little massage! I almost cried through the whole ordeal. So many waves of emotions for just a simple filling appointment. Anyways, I really am grateful for the team here at tukwilas Sunrise dental. Can't wait for my 6 month deep clean. Just kidding, I actually can. It is the dentist after all
