Arctic Nigiri (Left) and Salmon Nigiri (Right)

Decent AYCE sushi buffet in SF though I would say it is overpriced (~$48 for the silver course) considering the limits of their ordering system compared to other SF sushi buffets. You can only order 4 orders of nigiri (2 pieces) or sashimi (4 pieces) at a time and the cooldown timer is 10 minutes, which makes you have to decide between sashimi or nigiri. This system applies for their rolls as well. There is a separate option to request 4 or 6 pieces of nigiri in one order but it is limited to salmon and tuna. About halfway through our meal, they said they "ran out of salmon" as they were close to closing though it was still 30 minutes to their last call. Unsure how busy it gets in peak times but the atmosphere is on the quieter/cozier side. The staff were not as kind as I would have hoped, but they may have been a bit tired as we visited an hour before closing. Service was still decently fast but at the start of our meal, it was difficult to order given their 10 minute cooldown timer.

Came here on a Thursday night around 8pm for the ayce & was immediately greeted & seated. The owner was extremely nice & also let us choose where to sit. I also liked that it didn't feel like I was so close to people, like other sushi places. We were given a tablet to order, which I actually love. You don't have to wait around for a server & you can plan what to get next. Items on the menu didn't have any descriptions BUT the pictures for them were close up & he was happy to explain it to us. They also had an all you can drink option for an additional $10, which is actually so much value because the cheapest bottle you could get was $8 (the dry sake was so smooth). Unfortunately we didn't get it but I immediately regretted it 2 bottles in. I LOVED the nigiris. They have a different type of salmon that I haven't seen anywhere else. We kept getting it & felt bad but it tasted too good. If that's not really what you're into, try the Iceland roll or the veggie potstickers. We ended up getting it twice because, again, it was good. Definitely coming back here, maybe next week, because they were all nice & attentive. Parking wasn't that bad for me too & the fish quality was amazing.

Great AYCE sushi for the price. $58 gets you really solid quality fish and you definitely get your money's worth. The sushi chef clearly knows what he's doing and everything tasted fresh. Staff was super friendly and the service was great the whole time. Easily one of the better all-you-can-eat sushi spots I've been to.

Anything AYCE is great, but AYCE sushi that actually tastes good?! JACKPOT! This restaurant was such a great find. We were craving AYCE sushi and this was one of the top options that came up. The fish tasted fresh and the specialty pieces were delicious. The rice to fish ratio was perfect for me. I read that it can get pretty busy but when we went (weeknight) we were seated really fast. We called in advance and they had our table waiting for us. The service here is great. The waiter was really attentive and the sushi came out fast. You order through a tablet which is really helpful. The restaurant is small, but most sushi restaurants are small. The only drawback was the parking- we had to take several trips around the block to find parking. We didn't know that the 2 parking spots right in front belongs to the restaurant so if you see those spots open- take it! We walked around after dinner and even though it was nighttime there were still a few people walking around. A few blocks up we found an ice cream parlor and we grabbed ice cream before walking back to our car. Perfect way to end the night!

I would highly recommend trying this AYCE sushi spot if you're hunting for an AYCE sushi place in SF. I came here with two friends and we got roughly 5-6 rounds in our 90 minute session. The wait was approx 15-30 min. They have a public restroom with the bar they're conjoined to. The sushi wasn't the freshest and we could tell some pieces were recently frozen and thawing, but the quantity/quality per $ was pretty great. I would recommend putting in your orders as soon as the elapsed time is up, so you can take advantage of getting the most out of it, then slow down near the end when you are getting full. They do serve the sushi plates in waves that start slow at first. They start you off with miso soup and you get complementary ice cream at the end. Our server was very sweet, and she was our favorite part of this experience and why I'm rating it 5/5. She was very attentive. I didn't get to catch her name but she was on the younger end, darker skinned, and wears her hair in a ponytail. This spot seems like a family owned location so I'm assuming my descriptors should only lead to one waitress. We'd come back just for the great service :)

Ayce and aycd, perfect combo. Parking took 20 minutes of circling but we got seated immediately. Waters came out right away and we started with large hot sake and beers. We got the gold combo and its $55 for ayce and $10 for aycd. We got uni and toro to start followed by many many sashimis, appetizers, and rolls. We must've had 12 alchy beverages and 1 soda. Typical sushi restaurant decor but their restroom is shared with a bar next door so you'd have to leave the restaurant through backdoor then get to the restroom through the bar. All in all great meal and strongly recommend.

My husband, sister, brother in law, and I wanted all you can eat sushi in San Fran so we decided to come to Harajuku. Let me tell you it did NOT disappoint! We all opted for the $45 all you can eat option (silver) and we ate so much amazing sashimi, sushi rolls, and appetizers. You can get 6 items per round. We went the day after Christmas on a Friday around 7 pm and there was only one other table there. We got our food super fast and everything was incredible. Some of the best sashimi I have had! I ate as much salmon and yellowtail sashimi as I could it was amazing. The miso soup was very good. We also tried the albacore sashimi which I liked (but salmon and yellowtail are my favorites). I appreciate how they give you a sheet that explains their all you can eat rules and policies. For the all you can eat, you order off a tablet which helps the ordering and getting more food faster. It was clean inside and had quite a bit of seating. We were all so happy that we chose to go here and were so full leaving! I would definitely come back here and think this is a great all you can eat spot in San Francisco. I was very impressed and we all thoroughly enjoyed our experience! It was really great to also try some new rolls and sashimi I never had before. Staff were helpful and kind!

All You Can Eat Sushi, Silver, for 6 adults. Total $58.70 per person. Sun dinner 2025-01-19

A group of us came for their all you can eat sushi deal. You definitely have to be on top of ordering, which is done over an iPad provided to the group, and you have 90 minutes to order and eat. We did not finish a few things (there seemed to be a mixup that we got some extra skewers no one at our table could account for ordering) but we were not charged extra for it. We did the Silver option, which we realized does not include certain proteins like scallops. Note the menu has tons of typos, spelling errors, and mistakes. Often the photo shown on the iPad menu is not actually what you get, for example there was a tempura roll, but the photo was regular tempura and that's what we thought we were getting. There was a roll that showed roe on top, but we only got sauce on top. Total was $58.70 per person. Sashimi overall - 3.5 stars. We really enjoyed the salmon and kept ordering it. Near the end of our meal, we got a few pieces that weren't thawed all the way - maybe it was tuna. This wasn't too enjoyable. Yakitori - 3 stars. I found the meat to be quite dry. Rolls - 3.5 stars. A mixed bag, some were great. The hot ones weren't too tasty. Below are the rolls we got, although I can't remember which was which! In town for a conference and wanted to find a AYCE sushi place. Many of them in SF closed down due to Covid. Harajuku is still around. $55 for the gold version. I didn't get the $10 all you can drink as I'm not an alcoholic. They have a tablet you order with at your table. Quite similar to the Japanese conveyor restaurants in Japan. If you do AYCE make sure to keep one of the regular menus with you to decode the rolls. Also keep in mind with the tablet you cannot tell them "no masago" for example. The "pick 2 for entire time" was underwhelming. The salmon tataki was not great - lots of fried onions on top. The Blue Fin Toro sashimi was not high end toro. Service was good but it was a slow night. Most revenue I saw was from delivery orders. Music was instrumental. Place was mostly clean - they really really need to clean that fish tank. Upholstery on some of the seats was damaged. The bathroom is shared with the bar next door - in the back to the right. I would visit again. Do keep in mind parking is street parking in SF.

I rounded up from the 3.8 I'd give this place. Came here on a Wednesday night and it was completely empty. We did the Silver AYCE sushi ($45) and I added the $10 bottomless sake and beer. Service was pretty good, but again, the restaurant was empty. Food was ok - nothing spectacular. The sushi tasted fine, but fell apart pretty easily. I did like the pork belly skewers (Butabara) and the crab and cream cheese wontons, though. You can only order 6 items per round every 10 minutes which worked out for my party of 2. However, I can image that wouldn't be enough for a bigger party. There's also a bar next door that is also owned by the same owner. Parking was a bit difficult since it was in a busy neighborhood. There aren't that many AYCE sushi spots that I know of in SF, so I would definitely give this place a try.

Really amazing food and ambience. The fish was really fresh and their staff is very attentive. Highly recommend visiting !!

UPDATE: Hiyah!! Brought my mom back like I said I would. We got the gold package this time which is $55/PP. Mom's a huge nigiri and sashimi person and she definitely approved! Everything was fresh to her taste! She prefers them cut more thinner but the bright side is she got her portions worth! Parking on weekdays are a little bit better than weekends but still a lil hard. Gotta keep your eye out for park. Granted, both times I went were after 7pm.

Great neighborhood sushi restaurant in outer richmond district. We had a reservation on Valentine's day and they gave us a nice window seat. We chose the Silver all you can eat. The fish was fresh and I especially like the small dan dishes of sashimi with sushi rice. The saba don was so good that I ordered it twice. Shout out to Terry and Nicole who provided awesome service!

My friend and I happened to walk in right at 5 p.m., landing perfectly at Happy Hour (truly, divine timing). But honestly, it's probably the best time to come. We were seated quickly, and so begins our alcoholic adventure. I can't speak much to the fish, but everything we ordered was a hit. First: get the lychee beer. I'm not even big on alcohol, but I somehow ended up three or four rounds in... heh. Anyways, the yakitori (we got pork belly and chicken thigh) were juicy and packed with flavor, and the karaage was crispy, tender, and perfect with the sauce. We actually ordered multiple rounds of everything and left feeling very full and very festive. Overall, Public Izakaya is a gem tucked behind an unassuming storefront. The ambiance, the food, and yes, the beer, makes it an easy go-to whenever I'm back in the city. Consider me a convert!

Came into town last night to catch a show at the Masonic Auditorium & we were looking for a bite to…read moreeat & some drinks before the show. Since there isn't much to do around the immediate top of Nob Hill, we came back down to explore the neighborhood around Union Square & found Public Izakaya as our dinner spot. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but once you enter the doors, you enter a world that is classically Tokyo/Shinjuku. Decor is everywhere, on the walls, the ceiling, with toys, figurines, art, plants, anime, lanterns, books, and other sort of interesting, authentically Japanese trinkets. The interior space is very appealing and everywhere you look, you'll see something that catches your eye & imagination. They put a lot of work into decorating this space! It's big & small at the same time. Tables are a plenty, but space is tight. It's really hard to get around in here, you'll have to squeeze between people, tables, chairs, and just walking to the bathroom or your table, you'll have to zig-zag and squeeze past many obstacles. But, it's worth it, and classically Japanese Izakaya, and judging from the packed restaurant on a Friday night, everyone came here to socialize, eat, drink, and hangout & have fun. Music was also very pop-py Japanese, so it really set the right mood for an energetic & fun experience. The service was great. Lots of wait staff roaming around the restaurant ready to take orders & answer questions. Prices are fairly affordable, and offers you a chance to try many small dishes, or splurge on larger entrees. Since we were going to a concert that would go well into the night, we wanted to keep or food intake light, and alcohol intake heavy! The cocktails are good, diverse, creative, authentic, and tasty, but rather small for $15. There is no bartender, the drinks come out to you from the kitchen, but service was fast & efficient. We tried a Lemon Sour, Lychee Mojito, and Ume Shiso. Each were well crafted & presented, but pretty tiny and with very little alcohol, but lots of flavor. We ordered the Mushroom Hot plate, Agadashi Tofu, and salt & pepper broccoli. Food was tasty, portions small, and everything was pretty salty & oily. It's an Izakaya, so I did expect small plates to share in between sips of drinks, but I think the food kind of missed the mark. I ended up feeling a little sick from the salt & oil in the food, but the alcohol kept me going. I think we will come back to try some fresher seafood & Sushi next time, and skip the heavy fried appetizers. Might also stick to wine, beer, or sake, as the cocktails were pretty pricey & small & weak in alcohol. But, it's a really fun, upbeat spot. Lots of eye candy to look at as you are hanging out, eating, drinking, and having fun. The decor & atmosphere is so fun, creative, detailed, and pop-culture Japanese. I really felt like I was transported to an Izakaya in Tokyo for the hour that we were there. I really enjoyed the atmosphere, and I'd like to go back to explore the menu as well as artwork & displays around the restaurant. We had 3 drinks and 3 appetizers, and our bill was around $100. We left satisfied with our Japanese Izakaya experience here, only disappointed by the size & weakness of the alcoholic cocktails, the saltiness & greasiness of the fried foods, and I even felt a little bit fat trying to squeeze into the aisles & tables of the restaurant as a 6' 150" thin asian man, lol. Oh well, I guess Tokyo is dense and Japanese spaces are supposed to be small, tight, and narrow. That mostly added to the authentic Japanese Izakaya experience. PS, it's pretty loud & crowded & busy here, so don't expect to have a calm, quiet, and peaceful conversation here, you'll have to shout above the music, chatter, and noise of the urban jungle here, which actually adds to the classic Izakaya experience. It was a lot of fun, but not a lot alcohol. 3 cocktails and I didn't even catch a buzz!

The fish were plated beautifully, and the quality was pretty good. + Shungiku Kama Sarada (chrysanthemum greens & duck breast) [6/5 - would recommend]: WOW. I was so pleasantly surprised by how fresh, crunchy, and acidic this salad was. The greens are amazing. On top of that, the duck breast was so tender and delicious-- I just wish the dish came with a few more slices. + Chicken Oyster [4/5]: I really loved how juicy this was. I normally don't like chicken because of how dry it is, but this was a great skewer. I wish the skin was a little less burnt. The chicken was also so thick that while the outside was juicy, the inside was a little drier. + King Trumpet [4/5]: Wow! These looked amazing when they arrived. I thought the flavor was great but the texture was a bit rubbery. + Kama Tama Udon (carbonara) [4.5/5]: Delicious! I couldn't stop eating this udon slathered in amazing thick sauce. + Chiizu Tori Katsu [4/5]: This was sooo good. I noticed yelp said they have soy-free options and thus called on Friday thinking it might be a bad idea as they're usually busy.. It was defintely hard for the person to hear a bit when they picked up. The staff did relay something about gluten free noodles.. Anyways, they said they could swap out any of the soy soups for salt (but soy can encompass a lot of things so I still wasn't feeling super confident but we're going to give it a go). We go and I asked which 4 of the soups I was eyeballing don't have soy - the staff said they can accomodate and replace any of the soy soups with a salt broth. After we ordered, the staff came back and checked in to make sure that my partner also didn't have an allergy. And my dish came out, they told me there was no egg as its marinated in soy - perfect to me. I'm glad that was caught as not every establishments can account for everything. - Now I have a spot to (more safely) eat ramen! - I advise that if you do have an food allergy, do talk to the staff, and address your concerns such as cross contamination etc. I had a great experience, but I do find that because its not so regulated or understood and there is lack of education amongst the food/resturant industry - you always need to advocate for yourself and there is always a risk. I'm very apperciative of the staff here.

Okonomoyaki tater tots - 8.5/10 from a potato lover!! This does have some sort of cheese on it so beware if you don't eat it Hamachi Hand Roll - 9/10 SO GOOD. I think the rice is mixed in with soy sauce. It was super flavorful which I wasn't expecting Scallop Hand Roll - 8/10, the yuzu on top was absolutely delicious & scallop was very soft. Kobe Skewer - 7/10, it was good but nothing extraordinary. It'll hit the spot if you like meat skewers Yuzu Tori Skewer - 7/10, same as the kobe skewer, but the yuzu on top was delicious Niku Ramen - 8/10, good portion & very very flavorful. I'm glad that they gave a lot of meat in this. I shared this & they provided an extra bowl without me asking :) It's also not super spicy. Hokkaido Milk Pudding - 8/10, the pudding itself was so good but the sauce was a little too sweet for me. However, my partner has a sweet tooth and loved it :) Will totally come again, everything was so yummy and so glad to have tried it!

Neren Izakaya was a cute little Japanese style izakaya located in North Beach that my bf and I…read moredecided to check out after attending the Yelp torreni flavored syrup event. The izakaya is on the smaller side inside but is very cozy and dimly lit with tons of dark wood tones. The servers are very friendly and nice and were also able to accommodate my sesame allergy and let me know which skewers and sauces to avoid. We decided to get the beef tongue, the wagu beef, the pork and the shiitake mushroom. All of the skewers were absolutely delicious and buttery but definitely are on the pricy side. My bf and I paid roughy $55 per person for the skewers and still left feeling a bit hungry afterwards so definitely keep that in mind if you are coming are expecting large portions that this is more of tapas style small platters. That being said it is definitely worth checking out and the quality is great!

The portion sizes are small too so you won't be full unless you order a ton Warning: they will automatically charge you a "Dine In Service Charge" of 18%. On the receipt, it still asks you for a tip as if there wasn't a service charge already. To me that feels a bit shady/dishonest when it should call out "Additional Tip". Wish I knew and had more transparency before tipping extra on top of it If you do go, I liked their Yuzu Soda, Chicken Oyster, Hiyashi Wakame best. I didnt like their Trumpet mushroom - was a bit too soggy/wet (get the Shiitake instead).

Arrived on valentines weekend without a reservation. Initially thought the door was locked with a…read morefull house of customers inside and almost walked away but looks like you need to shove the door open. Ambiance was so cute very intimate but not much conversational privacy. Ordered the chicken, wagyu steak, beef tongue, okra, eel, scallop, and pork belly skewers. Also had the yuzu cheesecake. All skewers were juicy and delicious 10/10 every item was a hit. Wagyu was soft and not too welldone, scallop was flavorful and soft, chicken was so juicy, tender, and had strong flavor. Yuzu cheesecake - small light fluffy with a light caramel like sauce - emptied the plate 10/10 Would definitely come again.

Okay back to the restaurant itself. Two words : hella cozy. We were jammed in this tiny corner next to another table of three. So much so, that we may should've just considered combining our space. And that would've been totally fine. Why? Because the food is super worth it, and the vibe is friendly and welcoming. Moku is totally cool and whatever the kitchen is grilling will have your mouth watering. Grilled chicken thighs - yup. order two. pork belly - that glaze. yum. bacon wrapped mushrooms - of course it's gonna be good. it's bacon wrapped for goodness sake. croquette - deep fried mash potatoes? yes, please. chicken karaage - much like the croquette but chicken instead. I regret not ordering the chicken meatballs. Although, it does give me another reason to return. Great spot. Good fun. You will mostly likely devour whatever you order at lightening speed. And don't sleep on their beer and sake selection. Lastly, tip your servers well. They're ninja-like service will make it seem like the food and drink are magically appearing while the empty plates and glasses are simultaneously disappearing.
