First, we were met with a smiling face, and we immediately felt welcomed. Such a warm and friendly greeting, and the chat after ordering was nice as well. We let them know I was the lucky winner (of the WCN July Reader Appreciation Day), and we ordered our custom build--1/2 mushroom, cheese, pepperoni, and guess what, more cheese! I'd eat the kitchen sink, but I wanted my better half to enjoy the pizza with me. We also ordered the cheese bread. It was surprisingly seasoned to perfection, as others we have tried aren't, cooked to perfection, and my fiancée described it as "to die for" or decadent, LOL, and then she dipped it in the sauce. The look on her face said it all. She will tell you that the sauce is the best she has ever had, and I have to agree. Sweet, great tomato flavor, and a perfect balance of spices. She wants to know if it is sold by the bowl or gallon, by the way. Cheese bread, we give a solid 15 out of 10 stars, no joke! This was on point! Now, the pizza. Eye-popping, also cooked to perfection, and quite possibly the best pizza we have had in a long time, possibly ever. The balance of the cheese, pepperoni, mushrooms, and more cheese was unbelievable. The pepperoni used was fantastic, not overpowering, and was much milder than the spicy kind you would find from other places, and we both loved it. The dough for the pizza is a perfect match for all the toppings, and did we mention the sauce!?! Pizza scores a 10 out of 10 stars, just phenomenal. So, thank you all again, we are in a food coma, and you have made true believers and fans out of us. We went not with expectations, but with anticipation, and we are absolutely blown away. We can't wait to see you all again. Now, go get yourself some G.Faz pizza. You will not regret it!

I ordered a veggie pizza and cheese pizza as well as bread on Dec.16. I'm not sure what happened, but none of it was edible. The dough was overworked and undercooked. I called shortly after getting home and my husband and I taking our first bite to alert the person who rang me up so they didn't serve anyone else bad dough, but they must have been closed already. I left a message and asked for a call back about what happened. Nobody called me back. I called back again and there was no answer. I didn't see a point in leaving a message again since nobody returned the first call. If this has been my first visit, I would be leaving one star, but since I know that they CAN make good pizza, I left two stars. If I stop by again and have a better experience, I'll change my review, but since they didn't care enough to return my call, I'm not sure if that will happen. Time shall tell.

Fredi has the best pizza in Michigan…read more The guy is an artist and his pizza is his masterpiece. The crust is firm, crunchy, and flavorful and bready but light. The sauce is tart and a little sweet and there are small chunks of tomatoes here and there which infuse even more flavor with each bite. If you hold up a slice for a little CSI: Pizza action, you're going to see a firm "V" shape on the side profile with a slight bend towards the tip of the slice. As far as I'm concerned, the classics are the way to go. I would say "The Don" is the overall crowd pleaser with a little more cheese than the basic pep but I think I've permanently been converted to the "Moe Greene". It's simple, there's plenty of cheese, and you get to really enjoy the bread and sauce. The "Fredo" is also good if you want something a little different. It has a small dusting of hot sauce and a generous amount of diced chicken and a drizzling of ranch. The chicken and hot sauce are well balanced so you don't feel like you're chugging a bottle of Franks with your pizza. They've added outdoor seating since opening, the indoor wait area can get a little crowded, the wait times can be a little long during peak hours, and the drive to Melvindale isn't short. All those caveats aside, it's absolutely worth the trip and the wait.

Despite how busy it was, the customer service was top notch, the woman who took our order was so sweet and was not overwhelmed despite the crowd. It had a really cool atmosphere inside- very small but they make the best of the smaller space. For the pizza- the bottom was so crispy without having any bit of "burnt" taste. The sauce is my favorite sauce I've had on a pizza. It was so perfect and wasn't sweet which I really appreciated. The cheeses on my pizza (I got the Moe Greene- cheese with parm and fresh mozzarella) were a perfect blend and the perfect amount of each. My husband got pepperoni and sausage and he absolutely loved his too! He also commented on how amazing the sauce was and he is not someone who usually likes much sauce on his pizza cuz he doesn't usually like it. My husband gave his a 9/10!

The pizza was very generic, and it felt like I could have gotten the pizza from anywhere. Honestly, I think I'd have gotten equal if not better quality with a better deal from one of the main chains. This time around, we ordered pasta to try and change it up. It was... not good. At all. If you're a fan of DeLuca's then I suppose this place is for you. The mostaccioli was mushy and gave me the impression that it'd been sitting in a vat of marinara all day waiting to be ordered rather than made to order. The ravioli was slightly better, but still nothing to sing about. The bread was good? I suppose if you make pizza is your primary bread and butter, then it's good that you make a decent breadstick/pizza dough. But we won't be coming back here again. Not bad, but not good either.
