TL;DR - I think the negative reviews are a bit unwarranted. A great spot for grab&go especially their chicken teriyaki bowl special. I've been here a few times already & personally I haven't had any bad experiences with either food nor service. I come mainly for the $7.99 chicken teriyaki bowl, which is an absolutely great value for the amount of food you get in this day & age. The cashiers have always been friendly whenever I came, & although I never actually sat down to eat, the interior is fine from what I can tell if a little worn. I live around the corner so honestly I'd come back here for a quick bite if I'm ever too lazy to venture out far & cook. read more

No one looked "happy" in there. I Was not greeted, even after I said hello. The guy just looked at me. There's a sign up front that says 50% off fried rice upsell when you buy teriyaki. So, I opted for the fried rice upsell. First, the fried rice is not fried rice. They say you cannot get meat with a side of fried rice. Ok. No problem. But where is the egg and the seasoning? Its just white rice with frozen vegetables boiled into it for an additional $2. So, I asked why I was charged $2 for the upsell when the sign says 50% off. He recited a rehearsed line about 50% off a full fried rice entre (at least $15 per order). I asked if he knew the sign was confusing. He said he does have to explain quite a bit. So, they are tricking people into adding $2 to their meal for fake fried rice with a sign in front of the register that says 50% off upsell. The side of vegetables was just cabbage. This was the first place we ate at when we moved into the area and it was pretty tasty, since then we've been back 2-3 times a month for the last year. The mix and match combo is a great value and has tons of chicken. I generally upgrade to the fried rice even though it's an extra $4 on both plates. The veggie portion is mostly cabbage, I feel like some broccoli would be good but overall I like this place. The bubble tea is a little spendy but I do like it every now and then. I order them a lot on ubereats, but they recently changed their packaging to this sealed containers that make it seem like they just microwave it. I usually get the combo of general tsos and teriyaki chicken, and in this new packaging, you get like half the usual portion size. It's not worth the price. Probably won't order again unless it goes back. The chicken is soggy and everything is just mixed together in one section. Okay, something has changed. I'm not quite sure what it is but the honey garlic chicken is different now. I literally eat this stuff every other week, so I've had it enough times to know they changed their recipe-- and it's not good. Originally the chicken was crispy (sometimes almost too hard, which is why I got into the habit of asking for extra sauce) but it was still really yummy and the coating was minimal. Now, they've replaced it with some type of chicken that has a weird thick beading (think sweet & sour chicken but worse) that gets horribly soggy. It feels like maybe they were making it fresh before and now it's like pre-cooked or frozen or something -- idk but it's off! Anytime I've ever had leftovers before, I could always trust it to be just as good as the night before after heating in the microwave. This stuff is NOT the same. It tastes awful and something in the sauce stinks. I couldn't even finish half of my plate. I thought okay, maybe it was just an off week. It happens. So I tried again the next week and the nasty honey garlic chicken is still a thing. The teriyaki is still decent. I'm glad I at least had that to fall back on, even though it wasn't that great. But that honey garlic chicken was truly disgusting and I can't get past it. I really don't understand why they would take such a tasty meal and make it so gross. The chicken itself was fine, but their version of teriyaki sauce/marinade was NOT teriyaki in the traditional sense or as the Americanized version. Just got an e mail that total strangers don't like that my opinion is different from theirs. But, one did remind me I needed to add an important detail. The $7o dollars DID include a ridiculous tip for food we didn't even get to take a bite of yet. I have no idea what my Husband was thinking on that one, especially since I'm the big tipper of the marriage and he always has problem with how much I want to give our waitresses. We have been going here for years, and never had an issue. I'm not sure if they are under new management/ownership or not, but tonight was not the service or quality we are used to. My son's orange chicken was dry and hard with absolutely no sauce on it. We were told over the phone that our order would be ready in 15 minutes and it was closer to 45 minutes. While that is not that big of an issue normally, we could hear the people in the back standing around chatting. When the hostess reminded them 3 times that she was still waiting on an orange chicken one of the cooks asked her if she wanted to come back and cook it.
