Went today for the first and probably last time. I was really craving Chinese food and actually went to the Blossom Tea House first. After waiting for someone to come out from the kitchen for 5 minutes I decided to walk around the corner to Happy Panda. That was 3 o'clock, it's now 8:30 and my stomach still isn't right. My favorite entrée is Kung Pao Chicken and Happy Panda's was very sub par. Like all of the food, it was luke warm, tasted like it had been sitting for a while and the veggies had no crunch. My second entree was the jalapeño chicken which was basically like popcorn chicken with a subtle jalapeño taste. This was definitely the better of the two entrees and might've been really good if it was fresh... but unfortunately it fell victim to the pitfalls previously listed. Rounding out my plate: Chow mien - not bad, rice - way below average. Good News: They pack a ton of food in your tray. Enough for a late night snack. Bad News: I tossed it. I wanted to give initially 3 1/2 but because they will make you a custom order, it's pretty cool. Whenever I go I order Kung Pow Shrimp, and since it wasn't sitting under the heat lamp for an hour, it's amazingly good. The best part is, it's 7 bucks because it's specialty! Plus they fill a plate with it. They also custom soups for you, you just have to ask. Or sometimes I'll get the won ton soup and its pretty good... For the non-custom stuff, it's okay...definitely better then Panda Express, but nothing I'm crazy for. If I was in a hurry, the beef and broccoli would do. It's okay... But I seriously love the custom Kung Pow....too bad they don't sell duck, that would rock my socks off. read more

This was seriously the BEST Chinese food I had in 5 years! The chow mien is amazing, good flavor and not too greasy. I had the Kung Pao Chicken and Orange chicken too. I usually don't get Orange chicken because I hate it but this orange chicken looked so good I had to try it. I loved it?! It was very very good not so much breading and the chicken chunks were HUGE. The Kung Pao was delicious too and the servings were generous. Basically a very good experience, they should however have more than one person manning the front, it got really busy and this poor guy was rushing to get everyone served. I stumbled upon this place accidentally. Had been getting boba nearby with a friend and wanted takeout. Happy Panda was the closest place so we decided to get some food. Not sure what we were expecting, but it definitely wasn't what we got. What we got was flavorful chow mein, colorful fried rice, and crispy orange chicken piled high for a great price. I mainly just want to yell at all the people who gave this place 5 stars. Why did you do it? I have had much better Chinese at panda express, and I do not think Panda Express is any indication of what good Chinese food should be. To get into specifics, the broccoli beef was watered down and had very little flavor, of the 6 other choices for a main dish I decided to go with the mushroom chicken. The ingredients were fresh, but the flavor was lacking. Both the rice and chow mien were very bland. Decent pricing for bland food. I will admit that the soups look great and the won-ton soup I had was very good, with fresh ingredients and big old shrimp. But if delicious soups is all you want, go get some Pho. read more

Happy Panda is really nothing special. It's pretty much a Panda Express with no lines. There are a few things that make them stand out though. They offer soup and cooked on order dishes. The price is on point with their Chinese fast food competitors and they have a loyalty program that rewards repeat business, but I'll stick with Panda Express. read more

I love this place! Their chow mein, fried rice, and orange chicken are the best I've ever had and the most popular items by far. Their food is slightly on the oily side, but I guess that's what contributes to the taste! It's also pretty inexpensive and they give you huge portions. I tried this place on a whim and was not disappointed! I ordered the pork siu mai, bbq pork lo mein, and the chicken fried rice. Got it about 15 min later. They give you good portions and the pork siu mai are huge. My sister and I ate our fill and had plenty left over for tomorrow. The establishment was clean and the staff was friendly. I am always cautious when trying mom and pop type restaurants but I am glad I decided to try this place.
