I just paid $83 for a gel manicure and pedicure. They didn't have to take off any gel, just a new manicure and pedicure. I should've asked the price, yes, but this is outrageous, especially for the quality of work. The pedicure from Donna was nice, which is the only saving grace. I was told that I received a gel polish change, which was an additional $20... I didn't receive a gel polish change. I tried to explain that but the person who was helping me was not trying to hear it. When you are under new management and you know your prices have dramatically increased, one should be made aware. This came off as a very sly attempt to gouge me. I just paid and left. I requested a basic gel manicure and basic gel pedicure. $83. This is my second time coming to this salon because it's close by my sister's house. I had such a great experience the first time. What a huge disappointment. read more

I had a pedicure with Lena and dip manicure by Dan. Oh my goodness, BEST EVER!! Lena's foot massage was very relaxing and I loved how Dan did a perfect job at making my nails look natural...not thick at all! Very nice ladies who were attentive and professional. Lena did my nails and she was awesome. Kim did my boyfriend's nails and he was so nervous but she helped him through his first pedicure. She was very patient. Lena offered drinks to us which is really nice. All the ladies are friendly and funny. The shop is busy so make sure to book in advance! I was having my nails & pedicure done at "Nails by Charlie" for the last 2 yrs & absolutely loved everyone there. Then Sally & Charlie sold the salon to a woman named Cassidy. She did my last pedicure there & it was the worst pedicure I've ever had. She had a terrible rapport with all the technicians ... she was bossy & disrespectful. I witnessed it. It was completely uncalled for. Then she fired the best nail technician in the entire place. I was appalled at her behavior. Sally was doing my nails for a long time & I loved her very much. She did a great job! However, when I found out that Lena (my regular pedicure gal) & several others were leaving BC they didn't like this new owner, I decided to follow them. To my great surprise, Lena, Lily & Kim bought "Happy Nails" down the street at 130 N Denton Tap Rd. They are all absolutely GREAT ... I repeat ... GREAT technicians!!! This place was horrible. Horrible customer service almost every time I came in. I kept giving them a chance but it just got worse. Management does not take the time to listen or care about the customers needs. The nail polish needs to be updated I feel, it chips right away! They need better brands... I received worst experience from the man who did my nails.... I had a cut on my thumb and I had warned him about it.. he filed on my cut and it couldn't stop bleeding... So he took a small makeup cloth and put alcohol on the cloth & rubbed it thinking that would make it stop. He did it about 8x. I said it hurt several times. He kept doing it even after I said that I can do it myself. I wish I hadn't paid. PLUS their tv's were out for days, And their phone lines were out for days as well because their internet was shut off. Horrible business, not clean to me, it looks trashy now. read more

I've been to Happy Nails twice and both times have been great. My most recent visit was this weekend. I arrived at 4:30pm and asked for a mani/pedi and lip/chin wax. I was quickly seated in a pedi chair and Tina gave me a fabulous pedicure. She has a good eye for detail and not only used her thumb nail to wipe away any polish on my skin, but also followed it up with a brush dipped in nail polish remover to make sure it was perfect. Then she carefully put my sandals back on and moved me to a manicure station and proceeded to give me a manicure. I told her I wanted an American manicure and she suggested a new "no chip" manicure for $5 more. I said, "Sure, why not." and am very pleased so far with the results. After my manicure, I sat in a chair and had my upper lip and chin waxed. I haven't had this done in a long time because I always broke out with tiny white bumps afterwards. I think the wax here is not as hot because I haven't gotten one bump! The girl who did it was excellent and was quick, precise, and tried to make it as painless as possible. I will definitely be back when it's time to get another no chip manicure (and wax)! Tina is the best!!!!! read more

Management was very rude and short to speak with. Pedi was fine, but my friend was treated horribly. She ended up with an infection on her toe and after the pedi, while she was still in the chair, were using her pedi chair as a trash can. They were throwing trash in her foot spa every time they walked by. When we also arrived, another customer was there complaining that her gel was chipping after a week. Last Wednesday I came here and had a gel polish done and it was horrible and lasted 2 days, they lady here noticed that it was a bad job and asked for me to come back and she would fix it, she requested this, I came back today and was told to wait 10 minutes and now have been here for 25, they have taken 2 other clients before me and I would think, owning a business with customer service, you would see a client who you messed up as a priority. So sad to say that this place is no longer my go-to. They recently changed owners and I am outright disappointed with the service and their behavior. It began with taking off my nexgen nails, where the new owner began questioning how the former owner Mimi put on my nails, shaking her head. NOTHING was wrong with them. Second, she begins dipping my nails for the new set and questions if the previous owner used the base dip because, according to her, many do not do this because it takes more time... again, badmouthing the previous owner (Mimi would ALWAYS dip enough so the color was solid and they were practically flawless, so the base dip was unnecessary). The pictures of my nails speak for themselves. They are jagged and look like a child painted them. My nail shines through. The previous owner Mimi was amazing. She was precise and always did a fantastic job no matter what I came to her with. I found it disgraceful to hear the new owner talking so poorly of the previous establishment. It's hard to find a go-to salon, I completely understand. Trust me, this one is not worth your time and money. read more

Worst pedicure I ever had!! She barely touch my feet. Took her longer than ever to file my nails. Didn't even cut or clean my cuticles or dry skin. Told her to trim the side and dry skins. She cut and ripped instead! She needs 4000 calories to get some kind of energy!! 10mins massage for deluxe, light massage one leg for a second and do the other back and forth!! It wasn't a massage it's more of rubbing my skin. That's it!!! Horrible!! Horrible!! Worst salon I ever went! We ended up paying around 270 dollars. I really wish I would have spoken up about the pricing, awful nails too. Just had the worst experience here. I went because my nails was about to break and my regular place is too far from home to go to. I had a Nexgen coupon, and this place was close to home so I gave it a shot. I arrived at 6:04. The lady that greeted me was short and rude from the beginning, but they had such good reviews on Google, I pressed on. First she told me that it'd be an extra 3 dollars to FILE my nails the way I wanted them. What place charges extra for filing during a manicure?? I say fine, bc if it's a good mani, I don't mind paying. But she did a terrible job! The whole manicure is lumpy, 3 of my nails are broken beneath the polish, lots of small holes, and is caked on at the base. They start talking about me, all gathering around the table to stare at my nails. She keeps trying to fix it, but it keeps getting worse, and finally I just say that it's been 2 hours and I need to go. One of the other techs says to give her a few minutes and she'll fix it. I reluctantly agree, and she gets to work, the other 2 techs still standing over me. Now at the 2.5 hour mark, I tell her that I really can't stay, I still am unhappy with the way it looks, and I don't think paying full price is acceptable. She said I had only been there an hour and a half, which I dispute, but it doesn't seem to make a difference. She says she'll fix it later this week when I have time. Since she already tried to fix it and it still looked bad, I said no, I won't be returning. She offers me 50% off, and in a desperate move to just friggin leave, I take it. She just literally put the last coat of the thick polish on. I still had wax on my hands and started taking it off in front of her and she seemed bothered.? Really?
