Empress nails is my forever go to! At least while I'm living in the area. I am a flight attendant that is often away from home for 20 plus days and my nails last me the entire time I'm gone, which has been an issue in the past at other salons. They always get the shape just right, and the longevity is amazing. The nail technicians are always friendly, and funny which is a huge plus for me. The environment is relaxing and very clean. They follow every state board regulation to a T, which adds an extra comfort when getting my manicures and pedicures done. I highly recommend this nail salon. I LOVE Empress! Everyone is so friendly and accommodating. They have all brand new mani/pedi chairs and tables, and it's very clean. I was the receptionist here in between college semesters, and I can honestly say that they have amazing nail techs. My dad has been a regular for a long time, and that's how I found Empress (he loves the pedicures). I miss it here! Can't find a salon near my college that can do my nails perfectly and last me a whole month. Okay, so this place tanked for me a few years ago. Rude, poor quality and all of that. BUT! They had a management change within the last year, so I went back to see what's new and WOW. The atmosphere is completely different. They just received a new regular: Me. TK is my go-to girl, so definitely ask for her! She does SUCH a wonderful job. I had been coming here for a few years but recently the service has declined. Toan makes rude comments of how luxurious it is of me in this economy to take a trip while simply answering his questions of what I'm doing over the weekend. Having your nails done in itself is a luxury. Hea gotten big into making such comments of how hard he works and I'm lucky yet knows nothing of me. Then he booked me for an appoint, I show up, and he canceled me without notice after I drove 45 minutes to make it. He said they're short staffed. He is not apologetic one bit. I told him he should have told me. He smiles and says nothing. I simply stated I won't be back here again and I he just smiles and says okay. I wanted something simple and decided to go with gel nails. They didn't have my first color choice so I went with a lavender color. They got me in fast and finished my nails quick and these are the results. I paided $35 plus tip for this. I'm extremely disappointed with their service. The salon is clean and friendly. The pedicure I had was pretty good. Unfortunately I have to doc them stars for their nextgen nail service. It's new, so maybe they haven't done enough yet. I was told that the reason you could see some of my nails (splotchy) through the color is bc I chose a color that's too light. Also, I walked out after he told me they were dry and two nails got ruined. I also was able to see polish all over my cuticles once I was in the sunlight. I really wanted to give this place 5 stars! Unfortunately, after my first visit for Gel pedicure - (July 10) I still had a lot of pain from an ingrown, plus the shellac was lifting it just didn't look good for $55 plus tip. So I made another appointment 5 days later. I chose to drive an hour back out there to have it properly fixed. This time, Ana was great! She did me an excellent service by properly fixing my pedicure (color + nail repair) at no extra cost. I did, however, decide to also get a gel manicure. This costed me $35. I love the color, plus I tipped $20 for her elegant & hassle-free repair. Unfortunately, one week later and only 5 of my Shellac manicured nails remain properly in tact. At this point I've spent too much $ to commute all the way out there only to complain. Im really not that girl. In fact, I do genuinely appreciate their service! It's just, Shellac has NEVER lasted me less than two weeks, much less ONE! read more

I literally went 7 days ago and had my nails and toes done. Pampering myself as it had been a terrible week! I paid extra for the gel on both my toes and my nails, I picked a color clearly they did not have as once the nails were completed I look and they are a red color when I picked a purple - amethyst was in the name of the color. At any rate I could have lived with it had the toes matched, they did not, even though I picked the same color for both....... Lastly it's been 7 days - gel usually lasts much longer and they're already peeling completely off, in one large peel..... the were staring to crack and chip by day 3. paid 100.00 for nothing - I could have done it myself. read more

Went here today on a referral from a good friend. Did not have an appointment and needed nexgen and a pedi. They were ALL very nice and accommodating. I didn't have to wait at all. Brought my own polish for my toes and they didn't have a nexgen to match so they hand mixed it and it matched perfectly. I have never had such good service and people that were so accommodating. I got a manicure (dip) and pedicure, unfortunately they cut two of my fingers (thumb by cuticle and ring finger under my nail). So that is the negative. The women that did my nails were nice. No complaints about my pedicure at all. My nails looked nice too, just had to deal with the pain after for a few days while it healed. Also, kind of crazy to me that I was still charged full price. Probably won't return just since there are so many other options around. read more
