From the moment you walk up to Dash Nail Spa, there's an immediate sense of ease. Inside, you're welcomed into a bright, clean space with soft, upbeat electronic music that creates a relaxing atmosphere. The front desk staff greeted me right away, helped me navigate the service options, and got me seated quickly. Before I knew it, the massage chair was on, and I was being asked which complimentary beverage I'd like--a nice touch that immediately elevated the experience. I wasn't in a particularly chatty mood that day, and I had the pleasure of being taken care of by Nail Tech Teresa. She was incredibly attentive and seemed to pick up on the fact that I just wanted to unwind, keeping conversation to a comfortable minimum. Her attention to detail during my pedicure was exceptional, but what really stood out was the massage--it was phenomenal and honestly one of the best I've had. Customer service isn't always about conversation; sometimes it's about reading your client and creating the experience they need. That's exactly what she did. They were genuinely interested in making sure I was comfortable and had a good experience. I love a place that offers recommendations if I'm unsure and they did just that. The thing that got my attention most was the vibe of the salon. It did not feel like I was at the club or some Instagram worthy place . I also felt like I fit in( in terms of too expensive for me to be here). It felt like I was at the spa. Serene, clean, and calming. The esthetic was cream, bamboo, and lilies. So i felt like they wanted me to a bad bitch but wanted to feel like I was on a vacation from a busy life. So yes, it's new so be patient if things aren't just right in terms of things out of human control or new systems. After several horrendous experiences I found Valerie at this salon. She and her husband know what they are doing! They are a little pricier however ... they are up front about it AND the service is QUALITY and sanitary! They put the time and effort into the service rather than the "bar" aspect with drinks/cocktails like other nail salons in the area ... I care about my nails and can get drinks elsewhere... I'm sure they have it available if you want but it's not something that masks the quality of the work. Valerie is skilled in design and will tell you exactly what the design will take before she starts. I get dip and design on my natural nails. What I like is how the whole process is done with attention to detail. Also, my preferences with how I want my nails to look. The online booking service is so convenient and they have a loyalty program, which is what I had at my last place. I haven't gotten any other services but so happy with my dip manicures.

Instead, the finished result looks nothing like it. The color is uneven and splotchy instead of having the smooth, pearlescent finish shown on the sample. It almost looks like the gel wasn't mixed properly before it was applied. You can also clearly see where my builder gel fill begins, which should have been blended seamlessly. The application looks patchy and unfinished rather than smooth and professional. I understand that slight variations can happen, but this isn't a close match to the salon's own color sample. For the price I paid, I expected much better attention to detail and a finished product that actually resembled what I selected. Unfortunately, I left with nails that look poorly executed rather than professionally done. Unfortunately this will be my last visit to Golden Nail Bar.

Update - it's been 9 days and 3 of my nails have come off already and 1 has fungus growing…read moreunderneath. I've only had acrylic on my nails for a total of 5 weeks. Before that, it was my natural nail. Usually it takes months of consecutive acrylics on my nails for me to get nail fungus, it's only happened once to me before. Kevin didn't clean up the old acrylic like nail techs usually do before adding on the new acrylic, and there must have been moisture underneath that wasn't cleared as it should, and now I have nail fungus as well. Actually the worst nail experience I've ever had.
