We love this restaurant both for the pizza and the game room! Taco pizza is one of their specialties and is a must-do for when we stop in town to visit family. We also LOVE their BLT pizza! Both pizzas are unique and delicious. Our kids love the game room. The staff members are attentive and patient and helpful and the restaurant is clean with tons of seating. They've got a drink fountain so it's really nice that we can hop up and get our own refills as needed. This might not be our favorite type of pizza in the quad cities but it's worth your try, I promise! read more

Happy Joes is always a favorite of ours. We are from out of town and anytime we come to visit our family we have to stop and get a pizza. Well this last weekend we had our wedding in the quad cities. We wanted to have pizza brought in as a late night snack for guests that were still around. We originally reached out to the restaurant about 2 months prior to the wedding and started working with Steve. He was super responsive and flexible! They were even willing to deliver to our venue when it was close to the end of their work night and we are so incredibly grateful they did! The guests seemed to love it and even at the end of the night we had some left over and people were asking if they could have it because it was so good! I ordered my food on the phone and picked it up in the drive thru. All people I came in contact with were courteous, friendly and helpful. The taco pizza I got was delicious and always a favorite in our family. This one tasted great and had a truly a one of a kind flavor. Pretty disappointed. Went in tonight, ordered 1 small combo pizza and a hero sub- carry out. There was 2 walk in custs that picked up their pizza and 1 couple that just got their pizza dine in. I waited almost 30 minutes for my food. Drove 1.6 miles to my place and my bag chips were inside my container with my hero and the backside of my chips were coated in grease and cheese. My hero was soggy and I ended up ripping off the bottom half of my sandwich. The small size pizza is like the size of a Celeste or Totinos pizza. Just disappointed all around with the whole experience. $25 later- I should have drove .5 mile farther to get dominos and would of had leftovers. read more

Very disappointed. And Happy Joe's was my first job! We went here for a 2 year old birthday and ordered wings. 1 dollar a wing mind you. $16.00 for 2 orders. They arrive smaller than our pinky and NO meat on them. Asked for a refund and to give them back. They acted very smug like this was us being difficult. Normally we never leave bad reviews nor ask for a refund but it was very hard paying $16.00 plus tax for empty bones. I don't care about the staff or the wait or interior- this review is strictly for the Taco pizza. Hot and fresh, fresh ingredients with crunchy chips, the best taco sauce I've ever had. The meat is tender and yummy, the sauces all mix well together, the flavors are really spot on, no one else compares. YES GET THE TACO PIZZA, especially if you or anyone you know has never had it- please change their life for the better. From here!!!! no where else. For breakfast, what a joke. First, they don't open until 9:00. I asked for eight cinnamon rolls. If you open at 9:00, wouldn't you have the rolls ready? But no, it was going to take 45 minutes. The excuse given was that he "just got there". At 9:00. When my husband went to pick them up, they only gave him four rolls instead of the eight I ordered. So the breakfast piza grew cold as he waited for the other four rolls. We had guests on a timeline who were kept waiting because of this incompetence. Happy Joe's is the best chain pizza place in town, famous for their taco pizza (it's really good). As far as pizza places go, it's actually pretty pricey. Their lunch buffet is a great option if you're really jonesin' for some pizza, and is only like $10. The eat-in experience is geared towards kids, and can be a little creepy/depressing if you're not there with kids yourself. Also depressing are the XL diners who come out of the woodwork for the buffet...makes me less hungry. read more

This place is cute for kids, every time I go it's somebody's birthday and the whole place is singing and honking horns. There's an arcade that has tickets and prizes. Always enjoyed this place ever since I was a kid growing up. The taco pizza is something I crave now that I live in Las Vegas so every time I come back to my hometown I have to stop here for dinner. The taco supreme is good too, but I just like the regular. My mother always gets the BLT and she always loves it. I hate Pepsi products, but they make it up by at least having Diet Mountain Dew available. The only reason why I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is due to it's game room and "fun atmosphere". As a kid, there used to be more emphasis on the games and fun for kids birthdays. Recently I have worked for large family entertainment facilities (was the General Manager for GameWorks) so coming to see how this place had 5-7 ticket games...none of which I was impressed with, and no regular arcade games, just kinda put a frown on my face. This is an easy upgrade that could really bring in some great child retention. ...but otherwise, for the best taco pizza I've ever experienced, this is definitely the joint! read more

I have been going to Happy Joes for years and have really never had a bad experience till Saturday. I went in to pick up a pizza for my family on our way home from a long day and I told them about my coupon that I left on the counter at home, by accident, my sister was with me and remembered the 3 digit coupon code and they told me I would have to go all the way home and get the coupon in order for them to honor it. I have never been so upset, I understand I did not have it but good customer service would be to honor it or maybe offer something else. They were very rude about the whole situation so I took my business elsewhere. Dominos took very good care of us. read more

I'm not even sure where to begin! We ordered from Happy Joe's on the recommendation of our hotel clerk at Comfort Inn and Suites, coupled with Yelp and Trip Advisor reviews. Ordered a medium Taco Supreme pizza with olives on 1/2, Taco Salad, and 2 liter bottle of Pepsi for delivery. Upon placing the order, the female never asked for our room number or name, offered her our room number prior to hanging up. Upon delivery, the pizza had olives over the entire pie, no plates or utensils, no receipt (for expense report), and the total value of food delivered could not be more than $10 (that figure is generous) yet we paid $32 + $4 tip. Placed my order for carry out and went to pick up my order at the time I was told. Pulled up to the drive thru window and paid for my order. At this point I was asked if I could park in the back lot cause they were just finishing up cutting my pizzas and there was a customer behind me. I thought nothing of it and parked like I was asked. I watched customer after customer pull up and get their orders and delivery drives loading up their cars. After 25 minutes they finally bring out my pizzas after so called "cutting" it for 25 minutes. I finally get home to feed my kids and our pizzas were so undercooked they were almost raw and the bottom crust was pure white and soggy. Not the normal crispy and light crust they are known for. The cheese unmelted and toppings cold as can be. I could only figure they forgot my order and when I showed up they lied and tried to rushed my order completely undercooking it. I contacted the manger who apologized and said she would let the owner know and they would be getting back to me soon. Well 3 weeks and 4 messages later still no response from the owner. The manager only states that she wishes she could answer for then owner but she can't so have a nice day. For 2 larger pizza and cheese bread for almost $70 you think they would have a lot better customer service. This location unfortunately for me is the one closest to my house. But I will not be ordering from this location ever again. read more

I watched two girls who were apparently training a new employee. I have never been more disgusted in the way these two girls were treating this new hire. Making fun of her shoes, taking pictures and putting it on social media. This mistreatment went on and on. I am surprised the new hire even stayed there to finish her day. I mean really, does management not see this stuff?? I have lived in the Quad Cities all my life and have enjoyed some of Happy Joe's Pizza and other times been horrible. This kind of behavior takes the cake. Not only are we fighting bullying in our schools now I personally saw this happening in the work place. I hope this young (what appeared to be a high school kid) documents all of this kind of bullying and owns this Happy Joes someday. read more
