Very yummy, unique flavors. Cute small cart but there is usually a line especially during busy hours. The ice cream was very yummy and unique.

The flavor creativity always intrigues me, and they always deliver. The popcorn and polenta crumble I got today is so good that it's very hard not to eat a whole pint. The Olive oil cookie crumble, strawberry and polenta crumble, and the (limited edition) muddy buddies pints are also unreal.

Ice cream was great I got the dark chocolate which was extremely rich and flavorful with big chunks of chocolate. Nice milky flavor to balance out the salty flavors of the chocolate. Service is friendly and nice. They work quickly so dont be intimidated by a line it moves quickly. We went to the outside service area but its grab and go the i side section has seating but was full. Overall a great place to visit on a warm night.

This cutie little ice cream cart is perfect on a hot day. It sits right in front of the main shop and it feels so classic. There was a small line when I was there, but the wait wasn't too bad. There is a small outdoor seating section that has free water, which is great during the summer. I love that they have such unique flavors that switch out all the time, which I know isn't everyone's preference. I ordered the milk chocolate oatmeal cookie on a cone and I really liked it! It was a bit tangy and I liked the added texture of the oatmeal. My only issue was the cone was slightly burnt and that flavor came through. Also, it's a bit pricey for one scoop so this is definitely a treat.

Fantastic selection of unique flavors that changes every day. Service is really friendly, it lives up to the name. Prices are very high though ($7 for a single scoop!) and they ran out of cones during our visit.

Cute little pop up ice cream vendor outside of Gemini. The ice cream was pretty good and the service was quick. Just thought the ice cream was a tad overpriced. Not sure if I would try again as this is a place I would like to check out once

This place is a wine bar that offers ice cream as well. In the winter, no scoops are offered and there are pints to go, as well as a food menu that included ice cream cake, which I thought was worth a shot. The space is very limited and there was no restroom in evidence; it would be a better experience walking by their ice cream cart in the summer I'm guessing. My slice took a bit to arrive, but it was an impressive creation. The flavors of candied orange and olive oil were somewhat esoteric, but there was just enough chocolate to get that satisfying feeling of having eaten a dessert. It was a rich and indulgent creation. Some of their ice cream flavors seem well worth coming back for when weather permits.

The cutest little ice cream cart, serving unique flavors--and possibly the best ice cream in DC! The line is always long... really long--but honestly, it's worth it. The price is a bit steep, but comparable to other spots in DC like Van Leeuwen, Thomas Sweet, and Dolcezza. There isn't much seating, but grabbing a scoop for a summer walk is kind of the perfect vibe, so no real complaints there. Some of my favorite flavors are the dark chocolate orange, popcorn, and milk chocolate oatmeal cookie. Only giving it 4 stars because of the wild line and high price, but the ice cream itself is a solid 5 stars!

The sweetest little ice cream stand with the most creative flavors! The line was long and took a while but was worth the wait :) I tasted a polenta flavor which I was not expecting to like and ended up ordering it along with the chocolate oatmeal cookie. The staff was super friendly and the popped inside to take a look and the wine and dessert bar looked even cuter. Will definitely be back to try and snag a spot inside!

My favorite ice cream spot in dc. They have different flavors every day the cart is out. The cart is usually only out when it's warm outside, and until 8:30 pm so make sure to arrive before then. The line to get ice cream can get long but it is worth the wait. The Basque Cheesecake flavor is my favorite flavor-- so so good. Other flavors I like are the Chocobanana with Chococookie, Coffee Stracciatella (I prefer their coffee with the dark chocolate shavings instead of the fudge swirl), and Figleaf and Black Raspberry Streusel (reminds me of my favorite Jeni's flavor Brambleberry Crisp but fresher). The Olive Oil with Cocoa Crumble is also popular and good here.

Happy Ice Cream is a cart outside of the restaurant Gemini. This evening, the line was quite long, so my friend and I waited for about 20-25 minutes before we were served our ice cream. The cart is super minimal and cute. The flavors here are on the more unique side and they rotate/change on the daily (there's only 4 per day, I think). The scooper told me to look out for the dark chocolate & orange flavor because it's one of her favorites. I don't know about you, but chocolate x orange combo slaps. SINGLE SCOOP - 6 Today, our options were mint chip, fig leaf (blackberry & streusel), basque cheesecake (passion fruit swirl), and olive oil (cocoa crumble). You can choose a cup or cone (and no up charge for it). The scooper did such a nice job scooping the most perfect spheres of ice cream and it was neatly tucked inside the opening of the cone. Like it was so aesthetically pleasing. I was able to try the fig leaf and olive oil flavors. While I enjoyed the olive oil more (with its deep cocoa flavors), I found it too sweet for my liking. The fig leaf was nice and tart with some crunchy streusel crumbles. With the cone, I found it to be too sweet after I was halfway done and couldn't finish all of it. Sample a couple flavors that sound interesting to you and get a scoop (or two)! My friend got the basque cheesecake and she really enjoyed it. We were silently walking while we focused on eating our ice cream.

my favorite ice cream place in dc :) way better than Jeni's or Jubilee! The flavors rotate daily and are special/seasonal - some of my favs throughout the year are olive oil cocoa crumble (this one is a staple), grape & labneh, popcorn & polenta!

This place was located next to Gemini under a little tent for ice cream. The line moves by really quickly so don't be alarmed by the little line! The music was great, the worker was so kind, and it was a great experience. They have rotating flavors but we chose Ricotta with Blueberry, as well as the Olive Oil with mocha crumble. AMAZING!! The olive oil is topped with a little salt and olive oil. It's the right amount of richness without being overpoweringly sweet. It's a little expensive ($7 for single, $9 double) but so worth it! The portion sizes may be small for some people but for me it's perfect. I'll be back!

For the sorbet, I was recommended the Lemon Opal Basil and Sour Cherry flavors, and BABY... my taste buds were dancing! Then I grabbed my surprise coffee from Will. He made me an iced Oat Milk Dolce Delizia with a hint of vanilla, and it was right up my alley. After the very first sip, it was an instant connection... with the drink, of course. The vibes were so good that my friend and I ended up sitting there talking for a couple of hours. Between the incredible sorbet, my new favorite coffee order, and the cozy atmosphere, Dolcezza has officially inspired me to start going on late-night coffee hunts and yap sessions. I'll definitely be back! Oh, and fyi... it does get a bit crowded, BUT don't let that scare you away! I've tried other DDL lattes from other coffee shops around the city and this one is by far the best. It's good hot and iced. The seasonal strawberry matcha is also very good. This place is great for the seasonal drinks and gelato flavors using local ingredients. My absolute favorite seasonal flavor is the Blackberries and Cream gelato. I ate it so much last summer that I could see the color of the gelato get darker as the season progressed and as the berries reached their peak. I got a few hand packed pints to keep in the freezer but they didn't last long. The mascarpone & berries is my favorite classic flavor. I've been to every Dolcezza location in DC and my favorite is the DuPont location. The baristas are chill and somehow their drinks taste better than the other locations. Not sure how that's possible but I notice a difference. I think it has something to do with how the drink order is entered at the register. At another location, I noticed my DDL latte was entered as a latte with DDL syrup and it was noticeably off. Not sweet at all. When I asked the barista he said there was no DDL button but at DuPont the drink is perfect every time. I'm not usually focused on nitpicking but if I'm paying $10 for a coffee, I expect the taste to be consistent regardless of location. Back to DuPont. This location has decent seating but definitely isn't appropriate for longer study sessions during busy times. There's a large communal table and bar style seating along the front window that is great for people watching (or construction watching). It's conveniently located, about a 10 minute walk away from the DuPont metro. Is Dolcezza expensive? Yes. Will I continue to use my discretionary income on $10 coffee and gelato. Yes, because it makes me happy and it's an act of self care.
