I have always had positive feedback from this place. However, today was not the case. My dog had her appt @ 10am as I get there, Jason says he needs to switch with another groomer. He points out Debbie, who will be doing the grooming. From a previous visit, I saw Debbie pull the dogs hair, and as a furmom, I didn't want her doing that to my dog. I let them know I didn't want her to be my dogs groomer. As I'm standing there to hand over my dog, Debbie deliberately says, "I'm going to pass she's too matted it's been 6 months." No shit it's been 6 months. I tried to get my dog in, but they're booked so far out. Lastely, I assumed another groomer heard my conversation with Jason that she looked at me and nodded her head. I asked if she was okay, and Jason said he would talk to her. Right now, I am dismayed as how they handled the situation, and I'm completely disappointed with happy Hound that I will not be returning. read more

Absolutely LOVE this place; the ambience, the staff and more importantly, my poodle babies don't get as anxious whenever we take them for their grooming. They are not a "chop shop" like PetSmart or Petco, where the groomers there only care about their tips and not about the dogs themselves. I LOVE this place! I and my family have been bringing our doodles here for years and I cannot express how thankful we all are to take our pups here. The first thing I love about them is they are always so quick to get back to you about an appointment that is likely within the week. They also are extremely quick with their grooms which I appreciate. Another groomer that I used to take my pup to would keep the dog there for over 7 hours, where as happy hound has your pup there from what I have experienced 2 hours max. My pup was also traumatized after her other groom experience, and happy hound has since made it so she is more comfortable being at a groomers again, which any doodle parent knows is extremely important!! After reading the positive reviews, I thought I'd take our dog here for the basic shampoo and what not price was good and they saw him same day. I feel like we sent our dog to be butchered they say they didn't cut his hair yet his hair is now patchy, the girl claims she combed him out really good. Granted our dog had some dandruff this place seemed to have made it worse if that's even possible or they just cut his hair where it's more visible now, but he had tons of loose hair all over just laying on his coat. I'm sorry but adding a little bandana around his neck didn't look cute with hand fulls of hair all over,we got home my husband brushed him... now the brush shouldn't look like this after being to the dog groomer who claims to have brushed him out, pictures don't lie. If I could give zero stars I would. This place is simply horrible. The owner/staff feels entitled to curse at the paying customers and in addition to that, our pup came back home with an eye infection the vet said was likely from Happy Hound. After I have brought two of my dogs to this place over the last year, the owner's excuse is that I was very very late for an appointment in May (yet he still took our money and appointments after this fact). His STAFF, who told me my appointment was at 2 pm (see attachment) put it down in their books for the wrong time at 10 AM. When they text me at 10:15 AM asking me to cancel, I immediately replied and showed them the calendar invite of 2 pm not 10 AM. Regardless, I went across the street and was there at 10:20 AM (which completely messed up my schedule for the day as it was an appointment for 2 pm and not 10 am). So apparently this business owner seems to think that his staff's negligence and in professionalism should go ignored. And apparently 20 min on a wrong appointment time, warrants him months later to say he doesn't want my money anymore. My dog had two different prescriptions after contracting the eye infection in May 2021. One ointment and one eye drop. I'm not the only person this owner has cursed out, hung up on, ignored, lost medical records (proof of shots), and screwed up appointments on. Just take a look at their Google reviews and see how he has done this to others. Do NOT entrust this place with your beloved pets. Just think what they must do to your pup if this is how they treat the humans that pay them and enable them to keep their doors open! This place should be shut down permanently! read more

Our dog was a bit nervous at first but Colleen knew just what to do to make her feel as comfortable as possible. Got rid of all the mats and trimmed up our pup nicely. I have been bringing 3 of my dogs here for a year now, every time they come home I am always content with the results. Has to write a review right away. Just moved back into the area and needed both my terrier mixes to have a full service doggy spa day. I had the 8am appointment and the lady working greeted us at the front door at 7:45am. She asked exactly how we wanted our dogs hair cuts and what other treatments. I have been taking my dog to this place for a while now and thought this would be the last place since Debra the groomer went above and beyond when taking in my dog. I scheduled an appointment two weeks ago and it was the FIRST TIME not showing up to an appointment. I called to reschedule for a different date and was told I could not reschedule because my dog was a no show and we could only be a no show once. I let him know that this was the only time we have missed an appointment and apologized for not letting them know in advance. He then said Debra the groomer does not like no shows and will no longer groom my dog. He said we could schedule with another groomer but the other groomers there have razor burned my dog. I asked if he could kindly speak with Debra and ask if she would be able to see my dog as I only feel comfortable with her and would expect no issues as we have been a loyal customer. He then said that they actually can't even see my dog because it has been more than 3 months that my dog has been groomed and also that there is a comment on our account saying my dog is "difficult" to handle. My dog suffers from extreme anxiety but does not show any type of aggression. She is a sweet dog. Debra was able to handle my dog very well. I am very disappointed as we were a long term loyal customer. read more

I was asked questions about my puppy and he also asked for my name to associate with my account. Was able to make an appt for today at 4:00. I took my dog in today for a haircut for the first time. Jason took care of my dog, Hope. She is 10 months old and a King Charles Cavalier Spaniel mix with Maltese. I am SO HAPPY with the service provided! Hope's grooming session was spot on spectacular. I love her cut. It is so professional and well appointed. I am writing this review with so much disappointment. I took my Mini Australian shepherd in for a quick trim and received a completely different dog. They shaved down his whole coat, I was upset because my Aussie NEEDS his double coat. Also, he has very sensitive skin, which now I'm afraid that it will result in a vet visit due to a very short coat. I called three times to express my concerns and get a refund, but I did not get an answer from the place. I don't understand what went wrong , if I have taken him there without an issue. They definitely need to be more careful with the type of dog breed that they are dealing with. I just hope it doesn't happen to other dog parents. read more
