I can't recommend Steve Beam's company highly enough! We've been working with Steve for almost a…read moredecade now, and he's consistently exceeded our expectations. We first hired him back when he was known as "Steve Beam Handyman," and it's been amazing to see him grow and expand his services with the launch of Denver Remodels Inc. Over the years, Steve and his team have tackled everything from small repairs (like anchoring heavy drapery hardware into our finicky plaster walls) to major renovations (like restoring the exterior of our 1908 Craftsman). One of our favorite projects was transforming our mudroom by removing a wall and building a custom breakfast nook. This was a complex project, but Steve's expertise and creativity shone through. He even suggested a design element in the booth walls that perfectly complemented the Craftsman lines of our home - it's those little details that make a huge difference. What we think truly sets Steve apart is his incredible craftsmanship, creativity, and his consultative approach. He takes the time to truly understand your vision and offers expert guidance throughout the design process. Whether you're tackling a small project or a major renovation, Steve's deep knowledge and experience are on display with every project he does. He's always there to answer questions, offer suggestions, and steer you in the right direction, ensuring that the final result is even better than you imagined. His team is equally fantastic - professional, efficient, and incredibly skilled. If you're looking for a reliable, knowledgeable, and truly exceptional remodeling experience in Denver, look no further than Steve Beam and Denver Remodels Inc. They're a standout and I'm so glad we found them.

The Drywall Artist - Before

The Drywall Artist

My father and I, undertook a very tricky framing/drywall project at my DTC loft condo... and…read morequickly realized we were severely under qualified to complete the task. I made countless calls to handymen, drywall tradesmen, even general contractors, before I found Drywall Artists. Others would agree to the project, but not show... and some would decline the project outright, due to the overhead work required. Josh came to my home, scoped the job, provided a detailed (and written) quote, and we agreed on a price and start date. I had to wait a few weeks for his availability, but it was well worth it. Josh, and his team, arrived on time every day (at 7:30 am), of our project schedule! Now, at the time, I felt like "showing up" was half the battle... but it's not just Josh's work ethic that makes him valuable, it's his expertise (12+ years). The overhead work required a board brace, which Josh secured. I mis-measured the drywall I installed myself, which Josh corrected. The knee wall was not plumb due to settling, which Josh corrected. The door jamb was oval, but my door hardware was square, which Josh corrected. There's probably more stuff that went wrong that he didn't tell me about, and he just powered through! The bottom line is this... the guy is very, very, good. If you're luckily enough to get on his schedule, you should hold that date.

We had to sell our home and needed a makeover so I knew it was going to be expensive. Sent out a…read morerequest to palmira and Rafael responded quickly with a more than reasonable quote for what we needed to get done. If anything I felt like I was underpaying him at thìs point. I had high wall ceilings. Lots of fixtures. 4 areas That needed repair. And gazillion doors. And it was done on time with all materials included for a few grands was very reasonable. His team provided and completed the job by staging deadline. My husband did a final walk through but didn't have a keen eye for details and even when I reached out to address those details after payment had already gone through Rafael still sent out peoole to fix my minor requests. Very professional. Great work. Even went out of his way to caulk. Paint. Adding lines to all the stairs for us at no extra charge ! Oh. They removed window blinds and caulked our windows too. Great people! A few things to note: 30% payment prior to job work is industry standard. I didn't know thìs and it was scary but they were very professional and followed through without any issues. They did a good job covering but if you see some minor paint splashes, just wipe it down and use your finger to scratch them. Itll come right off no big deal. Just don't leave it for too long or it gets tougher with time. Overall I would definitely hire palmira again for my next big paint project!

All other things being equal (which actually was not the case with the bids) I liked supporting a local small business. Rafael was responsive via email and text. He made some adjustments to the initial bid after I changed my mind on some smaller items. We had all of the exterior trim on the house painted and almost all of the interior rooms. The crew was on time every morning and finished ahead of schedule. They took care taping and covering to prep the painting areas. The crew did miss one section of the living room wall above the windows, and I didn't catch it during the final walkthrough. I texted Rafael expecting him to say the work was finished as of the walkthrough. But no! He sent someone to finish it the very next morning. I was thrilled. Palmira was a great company to work with. Support local and give them your business.

Miracle Clean-up job from Hell!!…read more Apartment building dumpster area desperately needed cleaning for business and residents. Jerome came through and immediately started working with the other shops to find a pressure washer hookup to begin the work. Community was more than happy to help get the project done as a part of an effort to keep the area clean from consistent homeless activity. Was super tough to find someone to get this done quickly and help remove the mess that had piled up from constant dumpster diving. This was a Dirty Job worthy of that Discovery show with Mike Rowe, and at the end Jerome was still smiling. Left the area clean, Quick close out and offered additional services for the future. Thanks a Million!

He assured me he would get it done right. Long story short, after paying him a small fortune, it turned out so bad I now have to pay another person to re-do it. When I expressed my disappointment in the texture he dismissed me and responded by telling me the "walls look nice". I'll let the people reading this review decide for themselves how the walls look‍...see attached pics. However, that's not the worst part, the thing that actually made me mad enough to write a bad review was the state in which he left our house. He just left tape, smeared drywall mud, and piles of dust in every room he worked in. It was a nightmare to clean up....literally hours of cleaning! I have renovated 3 houses floor to ceiling and never have I had anyone leave a mess like Jerome did. He literally didn't even lay down cover on our brand new floors upstairs before he mudded, sanded, and textured. He also doesn't cover anything with plastic; we had to cover things with plastic ourselves. Every other drywall and painter I've used has covered everything in plastic. I kept telling myself not to worry, it would all get cleaned up....I was wrong and it cost me LOTS of time and $$$$! UPDATE: I saw Jerome's response. On top of everything else, he is not honest. We never said we'd clean up his mess and he knows it....hence the reason he couldn't post the "screenshot" he claimed he has showing me saying it. He's just flat out lying to save face. We also didn't "rush him out the door". In fact, he was the one who rushed out the door because he said he had another job he needed to start on in Castle Rock and we actually had to ask him to stay and complete the work he had committed to. Also, he didn't actually finish the work we contracted him to do, which is why he didn't get paid the full amount and he knows that's why. He said he'd "forgot" part of the repairs and didn't have time to clean up, yet he didn't mention that in his response at all....just said we owe him money...hmm. He also definitely didn't do any unpaid "extra work" like he's claiming. I literally paid this man $2,494....the remaining $756 (not $766) was not paid because of the work that was not done. He did offer to come back at a later date to complete the work he "forgot", but his texture was so bad and he left such a mess that I decided it would be crazy to bring him back! He also failed to mention to all of you that he told me before I hired him that he was bringing in a finisher with 40 years of experience to do the texture on my walls and charged me $1200 for the finisher's services alone....the finisher didn't end up doing the texture as promised, because Jerome said he didn't like his work and he thought he could do better himself. Lastly, I did have 2 (not 3) other people do drywall texture in other areas. I absolutely did NOT fire them, but I didn't love how the texture turned out, which is why I repeatedly told Jerome I was only looking to hire someone who was certain they could replicate the texture. Jerome assured me he could get it done right...but he definitely couldn't, as shown by the pics of his work. In fact, he charged more than all of them and his work was the worst looking texture of all.
