Iced beach bum

The vibes are so good here! I love that they are so dog friendly and made my dog the best pup cup ever! My latte is very yummy too. I got an iced beach bum, it's sweet but not sickly sweet. The girls are very sweet working there and they were super quick!

Outside

Great little beach coffee shop. Dog friendly. The magic mermaid coffee with an extra shot of espresso was my go to every day of vacation. Right near the pier.

Great staff and delicious drinks! I tried the Mermaid Magic and it was very tasty. Cute little trinkets/tshirts too. Would definitely return!

The restaurant I went to for breakfast failed me when they didn't have coffee and I was relieved this was so close. I was pleasantly greeted by a young woman and who enthusiastically replied yes when asked if they had chai! It was such a cute, eclectic location and I browsed while my beverage was being made. At one point she stated that they had the best chai, and I will have to agree with her! I would totally return and actually did a second time in the same day....thank you for a great atmosphere, product, and customer service!

The outside art of the cafe caught our eyes as we walked past it, therefore, we wanted to try it out! Their menu has many options, ranging from cold brews, signature lattes, classic coffees, and blended drinks. The ladies who works here are very kind, friendly, and helpful. I ordered the beach bum, which is a mix of lavender and white mocha, with lavender flavored cold foam. It is such a great mix, especially for those with a sweet tooth! My friend ordered the beach comber, which is coffee with sweet condensed milk, with chocolate cold foam. It tastes like a hot chocolate. We definitely enjoy it here and will come back when we visit :)

I stopped in here to warm up while visiting the beach, and it's a tiny place that you would miss if you weren't looking for coffee. It really doesn't look like much but the coffee was delicious. I tried the beach bomb which was white chocolate and lavender latte. They also sold other items like CBD, gummy's, jewelry, decals, and more. I will probably stop by again next time I am downtown Kure beach.

The cold brew here was the best I've ever had!! It was so creamy and the vanilla cold foam added just the right amount of sweetness. Staff was polite and kind too! Definitely will be coming back whenever I am in the area again.

This is a cute small coffee shop-the only coffee shop in Kure Beach. There is not much seating inside and no outdoor seating. Staff are friendly. No WIFI though. You can bring your dogs in as you can tell with their numerous posted dog pictures. They have a variety of drinks as well as hot cocoa mix, bagged coffee mix blends, veggie wagon cookies, muffins, bagels, to-go oatmeal cups, nature valley granola bars, tea sticks and various apparel, jewelry, coffee mugs, caps, etc. They have a toaster for anyone who wants to toast their bagel. Tried Cafe au lait and cappucino, which were both good. Smallest size is 16oz. Also tried the dessert expresso con panna in tiramisu flavor. It also comes in chocolate mousse flavor and for the fall, pumpkin. The expresso con panna is decadent, essentially whipped cream with expresso on the bottom. It comes with a tea stick, which is soft and crumbly when bitten with a sweet cinnamon flavor. Tip for locals: ask for the passcode for a discount.

Iced Beach Bum

This place was super cute and had good vibes. The baristas were very patient with us as we were trying to order something out of our comfort zone and ended up having to reorder one of our drinks. The menu has tons of classic and fun options and is allergen friendly. We ended up getting the Beach Bum (white chocolate, lavender) and a pistachio latte. They were both iced and with oat milk. The pistachio latte was an average latte. It could have used more milk and ice but overall it was good. The Beach Bum was delicious. It was a perfect balance between floral and sweet. The oat milk was creamy and added to the flavor, but this drink also could have used more ice. This is honestly just personal preference, but if I order an iced drink I don't want the ice melting away in the first 15 minutes.

I just love this cute coffee shop on the boardwalk! They have so many things to offer and the coffee is always good! This is the first time I was able to actually take pictures inside without it being slam packed!

Heard about this spot from a tjmax employee. It was highly recommended for a hippie aesthetic. Coffee was unique to the shop and delicious! Happy hippies customer service was friendly, helpful, and informative.

Stopped here while we were walking along the beach and loved it! Very nice baristas (gave us suggestions on places to visit while in town and told us about a Christmas market happening that day!). I loved the rip tide and my husband got the beach bum which was also delicious. I appreciated the fact that it was also dog friendly and our dog got a treat! Will be back next time we're in town.

Vanilla & Caramel Iced Latte

Happy Hippies is the cutest little coffee shop in Kure Beach! Right now they have the check out set up by the door, they grab your credit card with an alcohol wipe and make you feel very safe. I got a vanilla and caramel iced latte and it was just perfect! They have a huge menu of options from cold brew to frappes and tons of flavoring combinations. You can grab your coffee and walk the pier for a nice morning by the ocean! Highly recommend!!

I would have loved to try your coffee, but learned that after a 1.5 mile walk that cash is not accepted.

The açaí bowls were very good and the amount of fresh fruit in there was nice. I also ordered the iced caramel macchiato, good coffee flavor, not too sweet!

It doesn't get any better than this. If you're looking for an amazing snack or breakfast, this is…read morethe spot for you. ***LOCATION*** This beachcore health food shop is located in a tiny strip mall in Emerald Isle. You can bike there and enter from the bike path (there is a bike rack) or you can drive and park your car in the lot in the back. ***EXPERIENCE*** We came here because my friend's Mom adores this spot. It's a local spot that uses the best and most delicious ingredients. You can guarantee quality here. There is a lot of seating available inside and some spots outside. This place gets packed, but it's totally worth the wait. You order and pay up front then wait for them to call your name. I'm very picky with my acai bowls, I find that some places make them more smoothie and watery. I love it when they're rich and thick. Sol Bowls makes sorbet style bases which is why I'm so in love with what they make. I highly recommend ordering the Sol Bowl (I added cocoa nibs and coconut) or the Shore Break (if you prefer coconut sorbet with pineapple and spirulina instead of acai). Don't be deceived by how small the small size looks. It definitely looks like a lid, but it is still extremely filling. My only note is it would be nice to have a bigger small bowl (with the same current portion size) just to make scooping easier. If you want to add anything, I highly recommend adding almond butter to your bowls, it's a nice savory addition to all the sweet things inside. My friends loved the drip coffee and latte they ordered. I wasn't too crazy about the matcha, but once I mixed it more it was pretty good. ***PRICE*** The small bowls start at $9 with an added $1 for any additional topping you want to add. ***CONCLUSION*** If you're looking to feel tropical and beachy, I highly recommend eating the rainbow at Sol Bowls. Their bowls are so refreshing and beyond perfect for beach life.
