We've used Happy Hauling 3 times now. They've hauled thousands of sq feet of gravel from our yard for us. Josh, the owner, is an amazing communicator and it is never difficult at all to schedule in a job. The team is always on time for the quote and for the job. Today they also demo'd garage cabinets for us and I was so pleased with their work - no damage to the walls and not even a single speck of wood chip left in the garage after the removal. I recommend Happy Hauling with no hesitation. Josh is so, so, nice and texting with him is a breeze. read more

Happy Hauling is fantastic! Josh is quick to respond, super friendly, and his crew does a great job. I've been using them for years.

Happy Hauling is an ABSOLUTELY AWESOME company. My HOA has used them many times when Republic Waste went on strike, our association of 65 units became a heaping landfill but Happy Hauling took over, cleaning everything out and continued their services for over a month until the strike ended. They are very clean and thorough. I had an instance where "Junk Kings" cleaned an HOA residence and they left a horrible mess all over the street for us to clean up after them ... will never forget that fiasco, it was disgusting. I have since used Happy Hauling & Junk Removal for my personal needs and Josh Kircher (Owner) was very personable, accommodating professional and efficient. Everything was swept clean at the end ... I am about to schedule a second haul with him. Their vehicles/trailers are very well kept/in great condition. We Love This Company !!! read more

Very efficient and quick to respond. Will contact them again in the future for junk removal/hauling. Great pricing as well. Thank you!

Contacted Happy Hauling via the form on their website. We had some unique items that I shared with pics and Josh was available next day to come by for an estimate. We had two old clothesline poles that were dug out and set in a lot of concrete. We estimate they were 300 lbs each. Josh and his team made easy work of it. We scheduled a time for him to haul the stuff that week. Josh was incredibly communicative via text and easy to coordinate with. He and his team were really respectful of our property taking care when working around our outdoor plants and moving items around outdoor furniture, etc. read more

Been using happy hauling for a couple years now. Josh and team are super easy to get a hold of and schedule. I usually just text him. He is able to get a team out to the location and haul what is needed pretty fast. Just used him for a dishwasher by my house and some other random things I needed to dump. I consistently use them for projects my company is working on, and for hauling items from our warehouse. Thank you Josh! read more

I am embarrassed that it has taken me this long to write a review for Josh and his son, Blake. My apologies!!! It was during one of the wettest season last winter in November 2022 when I contacted Josh and several others for an estimate. I inquired about breaking down a concrete section in the patio that I lifted from roots. The section had to be cleared since I was getting the property in Vista ready for rental. I also had connections with a dump in Poway where I asked if he could haul the concrete to save me money on dumping fees. Josh was willing to work with my requirements. While he was not the only service I contacted, I decided to go with Josh because of his courteousness, responsiveness, and professional demeanor over the phone. Sometimes...when you make a decision to work with a new contractor, you never know what you are getting and hope that he delivers. It was POURING RAIN and Josh contacted me that he was on his way. I was shocked he was willing to work in this weather. And when I say pouring rain, it was dark, gloomy, windy, and wet. He showed up with his son, Blake. They are such down-to-earth folks and were ready to work. After the initial meet and greet, I knew they were going to deliver...and they did. I posted photos from November 2022. I am a female and for all the ladies who have any DYI projects, these gentlemen are very reliable and fair with their prices. I would most definitely use them again. Thank you, Josh and Blake. (Blake also has a tile installation business so call him when you have any tile projects.) read more

Happy Hauling did a great job removing gravel and concrete from my yard. It was by no means a small or easy job! Josh was responsive when I called for a quote (like a 5 min turnaround), and accomodated my schedule for an on-site estimate. His pricing was fair, and he took care of my job the very next day! Josh was super easy to work with, clear communicator, arrived on time, and worked clean. To top it all off, Happy Hauling was mindful of all of our landscaping, working around plants, which was very much appreciated! Bottom line - I would use Happy Hauling again, and would recommend them to others. read more

I am very pleased with my experience. Josh responded quickly to my request on Yelp. He was able to do the work the same day! He took all my junk, helped me move a couch, took extra items I forgot to show him, swept my patio when he was done and was very professional and grateful when I gave him extra $ for the job. Very reasonably priced. I will be referring Happy Hauling to my clients. I highly recommend!! read more

I solicited three quotes and Happy Hauling was actually the 2nd lowest. I went with them because, in my opinion, they had the best reviews. I am glad I did. They were polite and professional and completed the job within an hour. They actually came out to look at the job so they can give me a honest and final quote. No hidden fees, or "oh, it's now going to cost more now because......" What they quoted was the final price. We set an appointment for them to do the job and they arrived on time as promised. I would definitely use them again for any future jobs. You can't go wrong with them. read more

We had cut down some trees and overgrown bushes and needed them removed. I called Josh on a Friday, he came out to estimate on Saturday, and the junk was removed on Tuesday. It's a family owned business which is cool to see. Him and his son came to do the pick up. They were really reasonably priced. I'm planning to hire them again to demo some patio covers, and remove some pots and plants down the road. Would definitely recommend them! read more

Josh and his team are hands down the most responsive, fair, and professional. You wouldn't expect such amazing kindness and responsiveness when it comes to junk hauling but they run a 5 star business. My wife and I were in a bind and had to move quickly, Happy hauling relieved so much of our stress by helping us pack up the trash, and move it. Even after we left the premises. They even cleaned up on their own. I would give 10 stars if I could! read more

Amazing job & customer service! This was the best experience we have ever had with a hauling junk/trash removal company. Hard working and amazing rates!!! We hired them to haul away all our greenery & trash from a job we're on, huge pile! They knocked it out and had it loaded in less then a couple hours and cleaned up. Our guys didn't have to stop and help them, they handled it all. As a landscape company we're always looking for affordable hauling services, we have to look no further. These guys are about $150 cheaper then the competition and provide far better services. Thanks again Happy Hauling, looking forward to seeing y'all on the next job! 15 years of junk stacked up in our old garage was gone in 20 minutes. LITERALLY! We were in the process of moving and had to remove everything from our old garage. After my brother and I removed the items we wanted to keep, we were left with a giant mess of stuff that we needed gone so that new tenants could use the garage for parking. We called up Happy Hauling and they were awesome! Josh (Owner) gave us complete confidence and peace of mind by working with our schedule and unique time constraints as best he could! The result- a completely cleared out garage the same day!! I'm Calling these guys for my next project for sure! read more

Our DIY back yard makeover project started 2 summers ago but could never gain speed mainly because of the huge amount of soil generated from having to dig out 4" of old sod. We tried to get rid of the dirt a little at a time with weekly trash pickups. And that took FOREVER. Now 2 years have passed and we still have ugly old lawn. We could already have beautiful new lawn with drought resistance ground covers by now if we had all of the old sod removed in a timely manner. Late this summer we decided that it was time to pay a professional to have the 4" of dirt dug out and hauled away. Our due diligence research has narrowed down to Happy Hauling, Inc. Their price seemed very fair and reasonable and they worked on the weekend to accommodate our work schedule. They started the job without any down payment. We paid in full after we were completely happy with the work. Our project started promptly at 8:30am on a Friday and ended by 9:30am on a Sunday. They removed ~ 20 cubic yards of dirt. Over the course of 20 years, we have dealt with many different contractors for many different projects. We can honestly say that Happy Hauling was our most pleasant one. Josh, owner, was very responsive and kept us informed from start to finish. His father, Theo led a teams of several men who worked tirelessly in the hot sun. We cannot thank Theo enough for going out of his way to do extra work to purchase and install 2 surface drains for us. We only asked if he or Josh could recommend someone to install the drains. He bought parts and installed them at NO additional costs--Wow, that is customer service above and beyond like no others! It was not easy because he ran into roots, rocks and sprinkler lines. He had to make more trips to Home Depot to get parts that would work for our situation. Even though he refused to charge us for the extra work and materials, we were glad that he accepted our generous tips. He is Mr. 5-star all the ways and so is his son, Josh. We will definitely use their service again without hesitation when we need any hauling services in the future, like redoing our front yard. We have already recommended Happy Hauling to a relative who just bought a home in Alpine. We know that they too will be very happy with the outstanding services that Josh and Theo provide. In the last couple of weekends, we were able to complete planting carpets of stars (best lawn replacement option) thanks to Theo & Josh. Michelle & David read more

Josh is very respectful and a likeable personality. No job is small for him and he would work with you to your satisfaction. A true professional. With that said, here's a true story... Our backyard backs up to a small hill and one winter night a bulb lighted up in my mind to widen the yard... on my own. My wife didn't think it was a good idea but that's a different story and not for yelp. So, I dug up the yard and didn't realize where the dirt would go with all the digging. With literally sitting on about 22 cu.yds of dirt, I started looking for haulers. Got a couple of estimates and selected one to haul all the dirt away. Now enter Josh from Happy Hauling. I came across his stellar reviews on Yelp and thought no harm in getting another quote. He really worked with me after his initial quote and he was reasonable. Looking at the great reviews, I decided to give him the job instead. He showed up with his son and two helpers and did an awesome job. Within couple of hours two truck loads of dirt gone. That was almost 4 months ago. I held some dirt for the backfill and requested him a second time. Although, coming for just one load with all the equipment and labor on an older negotiated price may not have been much profitable for him but he still honored it. That was awesome and sincerely appreciated. Perhaps, this is why he has such a great rating on Yelp. If you are looking for a hauler in San Diego and surrounding areas, give him a call. You will not be disappointed. read more

We had A LOT of Amazon boxes from all the Christmas orders coming in, boxes inside boxes, and we also had a big Christmas dinner party we hosted. Needless to say, plenty of trash bags with 40 people attending. They came out within a couple hours and took it all away without an issue! Great communication and follow-thru. Thanks, Happy Hauling!! read more
