We stopped here after hitting the putt putt/ entertainment place down the street. We had 2 kids (7&9) with us and it was later so we wanted to stop somewhere that would be appropriate for them and good food. I saw this place was Chinese and Vietnamese and thought it would be good for all of us. I'm vegetarian and the waiter recommended a tofu dish for me. I was a little worried because he didn't talk much but it was really good. My daughter got the chicken and broccoli. She loved it. My son got chicken on a stick and won ton soup. He was happy. Hubby got Taiwanese noodle dish that he really liked. All in all, the place was great. We were all really happy and would go back again. Well worth a stop. read more

Delicious Chinese food, order for delivery, arrive hot and under the 40mins they told me, now that's good service. The best most delicious fried rice includes eggs which this rice did included, a rare find now a days but a delicious add-on. These people know how to cook better than back home which is a shame. Almost to the end of a plate and I'm still finding some big fried shrimps in this rice, awesome. So tasty, I recommend this place base on my first experience along. read more

The last time I had General Tzo I swore I'd never have it again. This place got good reviews on it, so I tried one last time. The sauce itself tasted ok; nothing special; just your standard syrupy red sweet stuff. I asked for the chicken to be extra crispy, which didn't happen. They use huge chunks of white meat, about the size of golf balls. I like small crispy pieces. The egg roll was disappointing. Understuffed and little flavor other than grease. The fried rice was nothing special; just white rice, no pork or veg, with a brown seasoning that tasted similar to a how grandmothers closet smells. The fried dumplings were... nothing special. Surprise! The sauce was ok. I wouldn't eat here again unless I had no other options. The place isn't terrible, but it's definitely nothing special. The inside was clean, the guy at the counter was friendly enough. He made me a cup of tea while I waited. read more

On a road trip, stopped in Carlisle PA for the night. Searched TripAdvisor for Chinese takeout and Happy Chen was the top rated result. Ordered for pick up on the way to our hotel. Pulling into the parking lot, we were concerned by the shabby exterior and the road hazards in the parking lot. When we got to our room and opened the food, it was disgusting and inedible. This place is in trouble. I drive by it several times a day and see it hardly has any cars for lunch or dinner. This is not good fora place that boasts sushi because with out a steady customer base and turn over, the sushi is not going to be fresh. Since my opening day I have had take out and a lunch. The take out menu boasts executive chef Tsung Chun Yao well he is not in the kitchen here. The menu has other errors. It is no longer open 24 hours a day. The $1 delivery fee is now $2. The menu is standard Chinese with way too many dishes and nothing in the House Specialties is any different than every other Chinese restaurant. As stated in my original post this is a difficult location and why so many have failed here, so the food has to be exceptional. The ribs we had were cold in the middle, not enough heat to render the fat and the meat was chewy. The fried rice was more steamed than fried, and there was no pork and very few vegetables. My red star spicy dish had no heat what so ever. The one waitstaff lady was very nice and obliging. My dining friends all agreed that the food is not special enough and we won't be back. read more

And no pork, onions, peas, carrots, nothing!!!!The chicken not crispy in fact very soggy and cold and I don't believe fortune cookies come with mold on them I tried to get my money back because this is unacceptable but instead I get a mouthful of insults and threats. Everything is made with fresh ingredients great portions and prices if you like Chinese food you owe it to yourself to go here you will not be disappointed. I ordered the pepper steak with steak, green peppers, and onions. The meat was tender, the green peppers crisp, and onions cooked well. However, the sauce was this orangey yellow bitter sauce. I expect a darker brown savory sauce. The egg roll really had no flavor to it. Crunchy and crisp but not being flavorful, I just couldn't rate this meal over 2 Stars. I will say I like the long benches for larger groups and the water wall of glass was interesting. Also, my seaweed salad was very good (4 Stars). Got 2 combination dinners, orange chicken extra broccoli and chicken chow mein delivered to nearby hotel. The rice was perfect, dishes flavorful and saucy with crisp veggies. I have ordered here 5 or 6 times, and I am done. They take forever to deliver, give you this overwhelming sense that they don't know what they're doing, and mess up your order. I have tried numerous times to give them the benefit of the doubt, but the incidents have just gotten increasingly worse. I hate waiting almost 90 mins for food, and then when they messed up my order, they insulted my intelligence. If I were you, I would order delivery from someone else. They're food is okay for Carlisle, but it is not worth the aggravation. read more

Man, was this a great find! It doesn't look like much on the outside, but it is a fantastic spot for good Chinese food. We took a chance coming off the turnpike, and ordered dinner, and we were shocked at how delicious it was! The Chicken Curry is divine. Also, the Kung Pao Chicken was esceptional, too. Try the House Special Fried Rice...three meats (shrimp, chicken, beef...to die for). All in all, a great value and a yummy meal! read more

Decided to take a walk from the truck stop, and I'm glad I did. Hot & sour soup was delicious, just enough kick. The steamed dumplings are good, the dough is a little thick for my liking but the filling is great. The roast pork with vegetables was amazing, big chucks of juicy tender roast pork & a mountain of fresh vegetables with a light brown sauce. We always passed this restaurant, so decided to give it a try. The inside is quite run down and there wasn't a lot of people in the restaurant, so we were a bit skeptical about the food. However, we were pleasantly surprised. The food there was very good and a lot cheaper than other chinese restaruants/buffets that we have gone to before. It's become our new favorite and we go there or order food from there a lot now. Strongly recommend it to all the truck driver that are parked near the loves parking lot. It's short distance walk to the place and the food is worth it. I been here at least 4 time within the last 6mth and I haven't been disappointed in any of the orders I made. We were looking for a new Asian restaurant and stopped in. I should have been suspicious when we walked in and the place was empty. We were the only diners. I ordered Vietnamese noodle soup, which was served Luke warm. The broth had. I flavor. I had to ask for hoisin and sarachi. When we were done, we couldn't get our check for ten minutes because the waitress was chatting on the phone. In short, we will never go back. It was horrible. read more

The fried crunchy things that came with it were stale as hell. The spring roll might have been okay if it weren't for the sauce being awful. The duck sauce was bland, the hot mustard tasted like eating straight horseradish. The pho was like noodles floating in bland plain beef broth.
